I was initially there just for a treatment massage since I had some shoulder and knee problems but I was definitely blown away by how Thomas was able to help me with my muscles and joints and basically helped me recover a lot more efficiently. The massage was excellent and I recommend everyone with any athletic hobbies or any problems with muscles or joints. The cryo treatment was interesting but I definitely think it was more for athlete who do these things for a living. An experience for sure. read more

First time trying cryotherapy. Strained one of my calves and it was notable with how stiff my walk was. Called this spot to see if they take walk-ins and inquire on the pricing for services, as that's not completely clear. There is plenty of parking in front of the location. From what I was informed, there is typically 1 employee administering services, but sometimes 2. We had 1 employee that day so they dealt with a small wave of walk-ins, assisting those customers, while also getting other tasks like laundry (.i.e. robes, socks) underway. I could see how one would fall behind. It was a fun experience. I got a spot treatment for my calf first. It was cold and you may feel slight stinging. I liked that it numbed the pain somewhat, but I wonder if I should have done the whole body cryo. Btw; It helps to come in loose pants or shorts but a robe is provided, if you're someone like me who came with skinny jeans. Next, got compression therapy. A minor discomfort as your muscles are compressed but I enjoyed the feeling of blood circulating back into the extremities. It was like a nice massage...and you get to watch anything on netflix while going through it. Overall, my calf didn't feel as stiff afterward. The therapy seemed to mimimize it's discomfort so that I was able to wear heels that night. But probably shouldn't have danced since that seemed to undo all the therapy. read more

Since the beginning of July, I've been battling a skin condition called "Topical Steroid Withdrawal," where my body is healing itself from all the prescribed medicinal creams that thinned out my eczema skin in the past. Prior to coming, I was extremely anxious and didn't know what to expect! I was thinking about the negative "what-if's" and wondering if my skin & anemia (low red blood cells) were able to handle negative degree temperature... Also I have two kids and work a full time job and wanted to see if there would happen to be any results despite the negative side effects. Back in August, I purchased a package of services, having been sold on the fact that these treatments would help. On that day I did a spot therapy treatment and a cryo facial. Unfortunately, the following 2 weeks after that, the area where I had the cryo spot treatment had numbness, and a tingling feeling, and something just felt off in my abdomen. Having just had two kids I was hopeful the cryo spot therapy would help me rid of some lingering baby fat. I hoped that the side effects would go away, or at the very least I would sense some sort of result from the treatment. I don't think I could have tried it any colder than the starting point and the 3 minutes seemed plenty enough.... it's a unique experience and you do feel refreshed after the short session like waking up with energy. The theragun prior to it was pretty brutal but seemed necessary for the stiff legs I've had. My calves didn't seem like rocks. Probably helped, *BUT* at the expense of minor torture. Now I'm sitting for 30 minutes in the compression sleeves for my legs. Enjoying the pressure and depressurisation. It's peaceful and somewhat comforting. Overall I'm really feeling optimistic I'll be able to start training again without the tired and sore legs. I will definitely come again. For those that aren't athletes. I just had my first visit to Cryospot where I tried the full body cryotherapy, the Theragun, and the compression. The cryotherapy is what I would call...invigorating. Other people might say it's darn cold, but the treatment only takes three minutes, so you can make it. The Theragun's pulsing massage is quite relaxing and seems good for breaking up muscle knots or possibly scar tissue. The compression therapy uses inflatable cuffs covering your legs to help circulate your lymphatic fluid. It's relaxing as well. Vic, the owner, is knowledgeable and passionate about his business. New location, and new treatments! The new location is great, and much more accessible and visible. The new location is visible right from street view, you pull right in and there is parking right in front, which is very convenient if you want to get in and out for your 3 minute cryo treatment. The new location is larger, and the dressing rooms are now even more private with doors instead of curtains. Along with the cryotherapy, there is now compression therapy available. There are 2 options with the compression therapy, just legs, or legs and core, and the whole process takes about 30 minutes. This is basically a little suit you get into that tightly compresses and then releases pressure, they can adjust the pressure for you. The purpose of this treatment is to take out the lactic acid build up, giving you recovery and ability to build more muscle and increase endurance, but the employees will be able to explain that a little more in depth. The second best thing about this treatment (first being the results), is that you get to do this treatment in a lounge chair in a tv room while relaxing. The owner recommends to follow the compression therapy with cryotherapy to get rid of all of the build up. And last, but not least is the facial and spot treatment! Basically the same affects of cryotherapy, but on your face and specific spots. I love the facial treatment, it is so relaxing, not quite as intense as the full body cryo chamber. I love when they use the brush to go around the lips, feels like i'm at a spa.This treatment also has it's own separate room. read more

Preface: This is not medical advice and I am not a doctor. I got rear-ended and got effusion in the ankle and knee joints on both sides. Walking and standing for more than a minute was painful. I had to use crutches to get around. One of the ways to treat joint effusion is to ice it down. I sought cryotherapy because it's a quick way of icing down. The guy in the front desk (Kyle?) welcomed me and gave me a tour of the facility. He gave me great, tailored advice on how to apply cryotherapy; and other products they offered; to my situation. I eventually met Vic, the owner of the place. Great guy. Easy to talk to and knowledgable. I did about 6 whole body cryotherapy sessions over 8 days. I no longer wake up with pain in my legs. I'm able to walk comfortably for 3 - 5 minutes and stand for 30 minutes. I'm doing TENS with my chiropractor, but I attribute the faster recovery to the cryotherapy. I try to do a cryotherapy session once a day as part of my recovery. I'm definitely going to continue doing cryotherapy after I heal from this accident, because I sleep a lot deeper. Tried the cryo chamber for the first time. My muscles were so sore as yesterday was my first day back to weight training. I couldn't even bend over to tie my shoes this morning.
