Hostess was quick in seating us as well. However, it did feel like we were being rushed out. Birthday dinner for 4 As we approached the restaurant, we noticed a huge parking lot--which, believe it or not, was free. We quickly found a spot and made the short walk to the restaurant. We entered and Wifey confirmed our reservation for four and, of course, we requested outdoor seating. The host led us to a comfortable table on the great open air patio where our server immediately brought waters, complimentary chips, and a variety of salsas. We decided to add a bowl of queso, and the chips kept coming--our server made sure the basket was never empty. We all reviewed the massive food and drink menu--it was the size of an old encyclopedia volume. My daughters both went for the Dragon Fruit Zero mocktail, Wifey ordered the Strawberry Limeade mocktail, and I opted for a Scofflaw Basement IPA. While we snacked on chips, salsa, and queso, the mocktails arrived first, in some tall great-looking glasses. They sparked a debate: were these souvenir glasses included or was there an extra charge? When it came to entrées, my youngest kept it classic with two barbacoa tacos. My wife ordered the Street Skillet but asked for shrimp only instead of the usual mix of chicken, beef, and shrimp. My oldest chose the salmon with cilantro rice, spinach, and roasted cauliflower, while I went with the grilled chicken chimichanga served with black beans and rice. The only hiccup was the timing--ideally, the dishes would have arrived together, but they came out in stages. My youngest's tacos came out first, while my oldest's salmon took a little longer (a couple of reminders to our server were needed) and arrived last. Still, everything was hot, fresh, and flavorful. Everyone but my youngest had enough left over to bring home. The mocktails were such a hit that at least two other guests stopped by to ask what my daughters had ordered. Since we were celebrating my birthday, the staff came by to sing "Happy Birthday." While there wasn't a complimentary dessert, we ordered a Tres Leches cake to share, which turned out to be the perfect way to wrap up the meal. All in all, our first visit left a great impression. The food, drinks, and service were spot-on, and our server was extremely attentive. We'd definitely come back the next time we're on this side of town. I'll bet this spot is great on a Friday evening. They have a gorgeous bar with a lot of bottles. It's very inviting. The people are very friendly and welcoming. The place is modern and clean. Very pretty inside. My server was great and helped me order 4 tacos. Chicken taco 3, steak taco, 3 , chorizo taco 4, and barbacoa taco 5! Barbacoa is !! I prefer beans over rice and their beans are really good. Black beans are usually flavorless in most places, but very well seasoned here. They have a massive menu, mostly drinks. We have been before but it's been a long time so we decided it's close to home and we want Mexican food w/a margarita. It's in a great location, The Halcyon. Free covered garage parking, and an easy walk to the restaurant. I had called to ask if there was a wait. No wait on a Sunday around 6 pm. Nice!! We entered the restaurant and it really wasn't as busy as the first time we enjoyed it. However as we sat in the bar area to eat, people kept coming so we timed it well. The outdoor patio seemed busy as did the dining room area but the bar was not. We were greeted by a super friendly server named Mia. Had her bring water plus she brought our salsa and chips. I loved that you have four different salsas, such a nice change plus the chips were very good. I only wish they would have been warm, but they were good. Always fearful I'm not going to like the margarita, but I was extremely pleased with my margarita. Great flavor, not overly boozy and not too sweet, mine had a float of Grand Marnier which was yummy!! I've been experiencing margaritas here in Georgia that tend to be way too sweet for me. Anyways she was awesome and made killer margaritas. The restaurant is very lovely inside decorated nice and nice room between the bar booths. The bathrooms were clean and roomy. We shared the plate with chicken, shrimp and red meat which all the meat was cooked excellent with great flavor. It was bedded on squash, onions and bell peppers. Unfortunately it was a bit greasy but still was excellent. It came with a choice of Mexican rice or coconut rice, we chose Mexican along with black beans or regular. We enjoy black beans. Also 6 mini flour tortillas that are made on site upon ordering. Very tasty however we ordered 6 additional torts bc we love homemade tortillas. The plate was large enough to share especially ordering extra tortillas. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and escape from the busy day. Definitely will be back. I did look on their menu to see if they have Happy Hour, it does not appear they have one. Too bad but then again maybe that's good especially with those yummy margaritas. Lol. In Halcyon - great location, lively place and covered free parking lot. Went to celebrate a birthday party with friends. It was a truly amazing experience. The ambience, food and service - all phenomenal! We reserved the patio place - totally secluded from the restaurant and covered place with fireplace, red sofas and red ceiling - whole setting was superb ! Sat down for the first time here. Out of my peripheral I see something crawling on the table and it's a roach. It crawls its way into the salsa tray. Waitress came over right away with house/made chips and four salsas and took our order. She wasn't gone five minutes before our mini tacos appeared. They arrived so quickly that i told the server that she had the wrong table, but it was our order. Mini tostados were barbacoa, el pastor, shrimp and chicken -- all were seasoned very well and pretty tasty. The margaritas were really good - Perfect Pineapple and Fresca. Served in tall glasses, too, with limited ice. Very attentive staff. Multiple servers checked in with us on their way back from other tables. Popped in for a casual dinner, the couch seatings in this restaurant is actually so cute. I really liked the chips and 4 salsas that were provided at the start. I have the biggest love hate relationship with this place. I love the food. The chips, salsa, queso and Guac are all scrumptious. The food is really really good! The street tacos are maybe the best in all of Georgia. But the past two times I've been I've gotten food poisoning. I went a year ago and haven't been back until recently. We decided to try CT Cantina Taqueria on our trip to Halcyon As none of the breweries were piquing our interest. I'm really glad that we decided to have lunch here because it was a very warm day and some good Mexican food was much needed to refresh us. The restaurant has been open for about a year and as you begin to walk in you just get a sense that you are on vacation as it is a very large and lavish spot. There is an equally large outdoor patio that can seat quite a few parties. We sat there. Our server came by to greet us and we had our salsa sampler and chips delivered which was really really nice. Their margarita offerings are also very robust. I decided to go for the watermelon basil margarita and my guess decided to have the sangria one. I learned that Lolea rosé was used in the sangria mix and that's what gave it it's nice effervescent bubbly. We opted for the ceviche for $10 and it had flounder, mango, jalapeño, avocado, tomato and onions and a lime marinade and it was delicious! My guest decided to have the quesadilla with Chihuahua cheese and chorizo. It was so good. I decided to have the small taco sampler (4) mixed for $13 with rice and beans. The rice is amazing and fluffy. The black beans are delicious and all of the tacos were wonderful especially the shrimp and steak tacos. We will definitely be back again. read more

I've been to CT Cantina a handful of times now and their stall in the food hall a few times. One of the great things about their food is consistency. Whether you order from the restaurant or the stall in the food hall, you will get the same delicious food! I've tried different items, but my favorite is their street mini tacos. They may be small, but they're mighty in flavor! My go-to is their fish (mahi mahi) and shrimp tacos with corn tortillas. Both have a nice kick to them. Three of those mini tacos is good enough, but four is even better. Each order at CT Cantina comes with four different salsas and plenty of chips. I love having a variety of salsas to choose from! Everything is nicely packaged, too. Service is usually fast and friendly. The restaurant is big and has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Great for groups. read more

We love CT but unfortunately today we had a pretty negative experience for an early dinner. We sat outside and ordered a beer and soda. Our soda came and the server took our food order. The server never came back with the beer or back to check on us at all. The kitchen server brought us our food, which was very good as usual but no one came back after that. After we finished eating, my husband got the attention of the other waiter to get the check and the box. When we told him our server never came back, and we never received the beer his response was "no worries" with no apology or explanation. I'm not sure if this was just an off day, but this is not the CT service we're used to. We recommend CT to most of our friends, but we were not satisfied today. They have a sub 4 star rating for a reason. Thought we would go out of our way and try CT again. We checked yelp, their website, and Facebook to make sure they were open. We parked with our little girl and got to the restaurant only to be told that they were closed for a party. My issue here was the attitude of the guy (accent tall) at the host station. Also, the fact that all they had to do is post the updated hours situation, or even put a sign on the door, so I didn't have to deal with that unapologetic host. Go a couple doors down to Eclipse Di Luna. We've had 3 very good experiences there. read more

The food and the service here was just okay. We got served all our food but when we asked for individual plates we were never given any. The chips and salsa were very tasty and were what we expected from CT Taqueria but the 6 soft tacos we ordered, except for the impossible taco, were devoid of flavor and not at all what we expected of the food there after reading the rave reviews of this place. For desert they brought out 3 deserts that we could pick from that were all in jars. We decided to go for the tres leches strawberry cake, even though we had a lactose intolerance, and it tasted great. It was moist and had the right sweetness to it. This is my go-to Mexican restaurant. I have not had a bad meal at CT's and they keep you coming back with excellent drinks and even a rewards program. They make the chips and tortillas in house which makes a huge difference, and their free salsa sampler is delicious. I typically get the tacos or tamales but the other dishes look tasty too. My boyfriend and I decided to go to the movies with our friends, and we wanted to eat beforehand. Since we were at the Halcyon, it was easy to pick something there, and we all like Mexican, so CT Cantina worked. We went for what I call early, which was 6:15, and it was still packed. The wait was a half hour, so make sure you leave time for that if you're going to the movies. The restaurant was incredibly hot. I was literally on the verge of needing another shower when we left. I really felt they needed to work on temperature control. I realize there are a lot of people there, but we were all really uncomfortable. It definitely affected my feel for this restaurant. Service was good. Our waiter was on point, and I like the big jars of water for the tables. The bad was the food. Their chips tasted somewhat stale and the salsa wasn't fresh. The cauliflower rice bowl with chicken was sub par in taste, and there was very little chicken, plus the bowl was pretty small. It was super bland, and there was so much water in the bottom of the bowl, which was a complete turn off. I didn't even eat half of it. The chipotle ranch did help, but even that lacked the usual chipotle punch it could have had to really elevate the meal. My boyfriend thought the portion size for the price seemed way off, and he didn't care for his bowl either. I'd have to say I can write this one off the list now. Disappointing for sure. Attended a small birthday dinner at this restaurant, for starters parking was great and the overall ambience was 10 out of 10. Our waiter was a bit harsh, but maybe that's because of the language barrier or because the birthday girl was a bit indecisive. We had a table of three, and were originally sitting near the patio which we preferred but then at the request of the manager our group was made to transfer to, the back hightop booth area. The food came out faster than anything I've ever had so that alone is a huge reason for me to want to come back. The main reason we'll be back many times is the food. My Jalisco burrito was just the right size (a big one, for sure), and had all the right fillings!
