She was so patient and she never let on that she was irritated by us being there so late! Also, the owner, Federico, came over and gave us a rundown on the specials and a little backstory on the restaurant, which was a nice added touch, considering the time. The food was absolutely great! I had the Pear Burrata salad. It was so tasty, but needed a little bit more dressing..but still great! I also tasted hubs shrimp scampi! DELISH!! Unlike any shrimp scampi I've ever had! He also ordered the oxtail flat bread..wait what?!! Y'all it was soo GOOD!! I had never heard of anything like this before! Please try it out if you like oxtails! After two desserts were already brought out, I had to ask the host to bring a candle as I didn't see my server. Eventually a plate with "Happy Birthday" written on it came out, and we were told the server was "working on it," but it felt like an afterthought. The server didn't come out herself or even acknowledge the birthday, which was a letdown for a special moment. Ambience: This place is just too loud to even have a normal conversation. It's not the music that's the issue -- it's the space. The restaurant feels very small and overcrowded, with tables packed too closely together. With that many people in such a tight space, the noise level becomes overwhelming. Because of that, I definitely wouldn't recommend this place for date nights or any occasion where you actually want to talk and enjoy the moment. I also ordered an avocado and egg sandwich on the side, but just keep in mind that anything ordered outside of the high tea is an additional cost on top of the set price. The high tea also requires a deposit of half of the total amount in advance. Overall it is definitely worth the experience, and the menu rotates regularly so it is something fun to come back and try again. The owners were also really kind and accommodating, which made the visit even better. My only suggestion would be to add more caffeine free tea options. I was told by one of the staff that all of the teas contain a small amount of caffeine, including the rose tea.
