The owner, Chris, is a friendly guy and he offers extremely competitive prices on tires and installation. He seems to really care about his work and makes it his priority to see that the customer is satisfied. After he installed my tires and brake pads (he also replaces brake pads and does oil changes as well) he let me use his bucket, towel, and hose to wash my bike. Just got back from CT Motorcycle Tires. Chris got me in and out fast. Prices were up front, and service was efficient. Chris gave me his review on my brakes, and belt. While I was waiting, I saw his response to another bike which had abused brakes that wore down, rotar and ruined caliper. Chris immediately called guy, and sounded like guy can't afford repair. Chris seemed genuinely worried about bike being too dangerous. To me, that is the mechanic I want on my bike! Not some guy looking to take quick buck and get me out of his shop! Makes me wonder what that owner will review, or how he will manipulate his review for others to read. Anyhow, guys at shop were friendly and chatted with me while I watched. Chris at CT Motorcycle Tires is the best there is. I've gone in twice, once to replace a front tire and once after my rear tire went flat. Both times he got me in at the end of his day without an appointment and went beyond the call of duty to get me back on the road as quickly as possible. His shop isn't a pristine pseudo-garage, it's got the grit you'd expect in a real tire shop. At the end of each tire replacement he gave me a run down on what he saw while he worked, describing the condition of my brakes, shaft drive splines, axle, and he greased everything up for me. Came down to visit LA from the Bay Area on my motorcycle. Near the end of my trip, I noticed that my rear tire was worn to the wear mark in the center. Not willing to risk murphy's law occurring on the return 400 mile journey, I decided to search on Yelp for a shop to change the shoes. I found Chris' shop on Yelp and it met my criteria of being a motorcycle tire shop with high reviews. I stopped by around the opening time on a Saturday (New Years Eve!), and was second in line. Lucky for me, he had in stock the tires I was looking for at a very decent price: Michelin Pilot 4s (excellent rain and commuter tire). Once it was my turn, he got my bike up on the stand and rear and front tires removed, balanced, and changed in around 45 minutes. His work was very good, and while he was working we were talking about good routes to ride around CA. Unfortunately I didn't get to hit up Foxen Canyon Rd on the way home, but I have it marked to check it out next time! read more

Wish I had found this shop sooner! CT Motorcycles is a one man operation tucked in an auto repair complex off of Reseda. I have always gone to Thousand Oaks Powersports because their prices are so cheap (I think they use tires as a loss leader to get you in the showroom), but they take at least a couple days to mount tires (their shop is always super busy) and are a big trek from the valley. I ordered tires over the phone from Chris and when they arrived, I dropped in at his shop with the wheel off the bike. He had me in and out in 15 minutes. Can't beat that. Prices are as good as you'll find anywhere else. He's got a nice clean shop and a good selection of tires for street bikes too. read more

My name David I know Chris from CT tires for more than 7 years I changed all my tires for all of my 10 bikes there I never had problems with him and he's service till Friday November 20 . I called Chris at Saturday November 15 I told him I need to get tires for my GS1200 BMW he told me call me Monday and he will order them. I didn't call him cause my friend gave me a deal of $200 for the pair. Cause they going for $260 so I came to he's shop with the tires I told him about the deal I got he start giving me attitude and start crying why I got it and everyone do that to him I told him I want to save money like every normal person. And I am giving you the labor bottom line he charge me installation for 2 tires $100 dollar and he say I didn't charge extra cause I didn't buy from him Ye right BS. BMW dealer in Thousand Oaks charge $111 for the pair. One things for sure he will not going to see me and my other 7 friends we all work hard and have kids family SHAME ON YOU jerk read more

On a recent trip from Phoenix to the LA area to check out the infamous canyon roads I've heard about I noticed the tread on my rear tire was in serious trouble! Of course the realization didn't happen on a Friday morning but Sunday evening at 6pm after 2 full days of riding pretty hard on the tire. After getting back to our hotel I began searching online for a BMW dealer who could help me Monday morning. NOT happening in this town! Even the Cycle Gear shops apparently don't have mechanics in on Mondays. Finally I saw CT' Motorcycle Tires. Sounded promising. Even better, Chris was in his shop promptly at 0930. One call and he confirmed he had the tire I needed and could mount it pretty quickly. He's a man of his word... I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Even got a tip on when the sensor inside the rim when it goes bad how to fix it on the cheap. That and a friendly offer to tell me about some roads we missed the next time we're in town riding. However for other Yelpers, he stated his price as $60 per rim, if I bring in my own tires and the bike and its $30 per rim if I bring in my own tires and just the rim. That seems very steep too me. Chris treated my bike like it was his own, and he got me a new tire when there were only 2 others on this side of the country. All garages should be like this - I think they used to be once. I searched for pricing of Pilot Road 4 for my r1200rt. Found Revzilla at 164.00. Now for install. Called West Valley Motorcycle Sales. They won't install a tire purchased elsewhere for 'liability' reasons. Their price was $233.00 for the tire plus $50.00 install plus weights. Cycle Gear in Reseda area will sell the tire for $159.00 but won't install with the tire on the bike. They referred me to CT Motorcycle Tires.in Reseda. Spoke with the owner, Chris. He quoted me $144.00 for the tire, 40.00 install. He put it on in less than 30 minutes, checked brakes, bearings etc. and had me out the door for under $200.00. Nice, friendly. I used to go to another tire shop on Sepulveda... not anymore!!! Been to Chris quite a few times for my bagger, and now for my Dyna. Never wrote a yelp review but, DAMN! Chris is a solid guy, has GREAT prices! I mean, to call him up and pay 5-10 bucks more than online prices, and know it's there and ready to be installed when you show up and not wait to deal with shipping and have someone drop the tire off while I ride....I'll pay for it every time. Especially in an emergency!! Chris will always go the extra mile for you. Pads are bad/low when changing the tire? He will usually cut you a break since he's already in there. I've sent well over a dozen people to him and they all say the same thing. Great guy, works hard, and unlike most dealerships, doesn't take long at all! I've waited for him every time. A few smokes and a few stories, and BAM! It's done before you realize it. Also picked up one of the "on-the-road tire patch kits" he has in a small pouch... saved my ass and a few friends more than a handful of times on long trips and very small/compact! Chris is excellent at what he does. I've been going to CT for past four years and two bikes. Although extremely busy, as a result from his service, he took the time to respond by email giving me options, prices and timeline. I had to wait a while when I got there, but that wasn't a problem as he is personable and knowledgeable, making good conversation. The others waiting all enjoyed the atmosphere as well. When it was my turn he went over my selection again by quality and price. I told him what my riding style was and he mad his recommendations based on my needs not the price. I was done in about fifteen minutes. The tires were a couple dollars more than if I ordered them but for on the spot same day service and a fast and professional install I would rather give the money to Chris and support his business than complain and whine about it.
