Only thing that was great was the coffee! I was visiting my friend & we went there for Sunday brunch... I'm not Latin at all but apparently it doesn't matter because everywhere you go, everyone who's is Latin speaks to everyone else as if that person is a Latino - I'm Asian! Everything was bland, the "hot" dishes were ALL COLD! Even with the heat lamp. It's like no water was in the buffet bins to keep them warm. So they had mac/cheese & Alfredo in aluminum tins which lets me assume/believe that this was a frozen item they just heated up to add to buffet. Everything on buffet line was bland, dry, hot food was cold, cold food didn't look fresh at all. It seemed like everything was a day old. Although food was excellent. Hostess ladies were not amiable and in fact they were rude. We had a group of 8 but they refused to sit us until we had every single person with us although there was plenty of tables open for seating. I understand the culture and typically cubans are not the warmest when it comes to customer service. There was a person that just stared at people all the time. The servers were very serious although our server treated us nice. First time coming here and it was to celebrate my grandfathers birthday. I happen to come in with a group of 7 and a 1-year-old. The lady who greeted us and the lady behind the counter I think her name is Yusleidy or something similar was very rude. When we asked to be accommodated, to a bigger table than the one beside the door and they said they couldn't give us a bigger table because they would have to charge us $10.99 for the baby's chair even if she didn't eat out of the buffet. (which she drinks milk so no she wouldn't be eating out of the buffet ) which BTW it says for lunch children would be $5.99 not $10.99 as the claimed and their other sigh says SHOULD pay meaning I'm not required to do so all for a damn chair. he best part is that they have a whole other section with tables and chairs to the left when you walk in and she said that she couldn't accommodate us due to her establishment getting filled and then not having enough space for others. (mind you the section to the left was empty!) The food they have a selection of cold pasta salads, some regular salads, ceviche, fruits, bread, cheese then a section for rice and chicken soup, and beans. Then another section with meats( grilled chicken, fried chicken, meat, fish) etc... I will tell you that they only reason why we stayed was that we had an 80-year-old with us because if not I would have been long done from there. The staff and I mean the waiters all need to be retrained in hospitality. They are very rude, they don't ask out of courtesy if you're done with your plate. One actually just snatches the plates off the table and when they pour water for you they don't say excuse me they just come from behind you and grab your cup. I had to request a new soda and cup after pouring mine halfway I realized the cup was dirty inside. Oh and the fly that landed on our food since the door was beside us. Before we left we actually saw a family walk in, greeted and told to wait to be seated when the waiter went to call them instead of walking up to the family and walking them over to their table he yelled from behind us to them "Hello!" cause they were all conversating amongst each other and weren't looking in his direction! For being a buffet, the quality was great and such a vast variety of food. Mariquitas and fried yuca at every table, and servers walking by offering queso frito, croquetas de bacalao, vaca frita, tostones, ribs, and almost any other Cuban delicacies you can think of. The buffet itself offers churrasco, congri, arroz imperial, ceviche and a variety of salads. I give it five stars for what it is: a Cuban food buffet. I was intrigued by the concept of this restaurant. Having been born and raised in Miami and being half Cuban, I have developed a strong love for Cuban food. This was my first time hearing about a Cuban food buffet so I definitely had to check out. I wanted to visit this past Thursday night and took a peak at the restaurant as I was driving home and noticed it was completely empty. After seeing it was basically a ghost town, we decided to go elsewhere for dinner. About an hour later, as we were driving down to our destination for the night we passed the restaurant again and noticed the place was completely packed! At that moment my date and I decided we would definitely check it out during the weekend. We decided to visit Saturday night around 8:30 p.m. The restaurant was pretty full and there was loud music being played. At this point, before I continue this review, I would like to make a disclaimer. This review is based on my experience at this kind of place. I knew there would be live music so I expected it to be loud. I was not expecting a five star restaurant with soft music and the finest cuts of meat money could buy. I visited expecting the vibe of a big dinner at my family's place. The kind of night where they are blasting music and serve an absurd amount of food. The kind of meal that starts off with your abuelita or tia telling you you've gained weight and that you should be watching what you eat only to end up in a food coma later on because they keep forcing you to eat. We were greeted and seated promptly, on the opposite side of the stage where there was a talented singer performing. I would advise to request not to be seated too close to the stage if you want to have a conversation with your party. The drink list was handed to us and the waitress explained to us how the dinner worked. We ordered two shots and two mojitos and made our journey to the buffet. What You Should Try: - Kamikaze: Simple, sweet and cheap. For $3.50 it's a great way to start the night - Fresh Croquettes: There's a server that walks from table to table, offering everyone freshly made, warm croquettes. We really enjoyed the ham ones and the fish ones. - Macaroni Salad: Mmmm, so good! I'd go back just that alone. If i'm not mistaken, I don't think it contained any relish or pineapple which I was happy about. If it did, the amounts were minimal and the salad taste creamy and savory. - Churrasco: Normally I like my meat medium or medium rare and this meat was cooked more medium well-well but it was still delicious. Juicy and bursting with flavor. - Ribs: Dry rubbed and tender, the meat falls of the bone! - Ropa Vieja: They do this Cuban classic fair justice. - Pork Steaks: So tender and moist, make sure to grab extra onions for it! - Arroz Imperial: Layered yellow rice, shredded chicken, a touch of mayo, Ham topped with melted cheese. It's like an arroz con pollo that has leveled up. Make sure to eat it with a side of sweet plantains because if you're going to do something, you might as well do it the right, ya dig? Thank me later. What You Should Skip: -Ceviche: Alright, as always I like to make it known how much I LOVE Peruvian food. I should have known better than to eat ceviche from a Cuban restaurant but what can I say? I'm only human and I'm weak so I had to try it. It was bland and clearly had been marinating for way too long. - Mystery Shot: I completely forgot the name of the second shot on the drink list but judging from what I tasted it was probably vodka, simple syrup and grenadine. Stick to the kamikaze or one of the other million drinks they have to offer since they do have a full bar. - Mashed Potatoes: Again, why did I got to a Cuban restaurant to try mashed potatoes? BECAUSE CARBS ARE LIFE, THAT'S WHY! With that said, you're better off with the rice or yucca selection. I enjoyed this place because of the nostalgia it brought me. The food tasted homemade. The atmosphere was warm and we left extremely satisfied. I'll most likely be back soon to try their soups, beans and desserts but the first impression they made was definitely a positive one. read more

I don't live in FL, but I have been here twice and loved it both times. Fresh and delicious Cuban food with strict Covid safety protocols in place like masks and gloves. Unlike some reviews I saw, we found the hot food to be hot and the cold food to be cold. The food was delicious and there was a good variety to choose from. I came for dinner with my family, a party of 8 people. The dinner buffet was well priced, and the variety of food was amazing. Salads, fruits, vegetables, ceviche, churrasco, steak, chicken in all forms, fish, rice, pasta, mashed potatoes, sweet plantains, beans, soups, and Cuban toast. ALL of this for one price. Then, a lady passes by with a cart, and she has croquettas, stuffed potato balls, fried cheese, shrimp, and ribs. The only mishap, that doesn't let me give this restaurant a 5 stars, was the service. It took them forever to have the waitress come take our drink order. Then she forgot a lemonade. I had to get up and remind her about the lemonade. I also had to get up to ask for the lady with the cart food to pass by because we had been there for an hour, and she had not passed by our area. This was my first time here and I have to say, the food is great! For the price of around $17pp for the weekend dinner buffet you get so many options from traditional Cuban dishes to international options. The drinks were good and cheap, $5 for a bud light and $7 for a mojito. The servers were very attentive and polite. I would definitely go back and will recommend to friends and family. The reason I gave 4 stars is their live music and other customers. The live music was a good idea in theory but in an enclosed space does not work. I could not hear the people I was sitting with, my ears were hurting from how loud the music was playing, and the singer was borderline harassing people table by table for tips. It's one thing to mention that you would appreciate a tip and it's another to get in people's face with the tip jar while they're eating. The customers they can't do anything about but unfortunately there were a lot of underdressed, rude, and loud people. My mom and aunt literally got pushed out of the way by a woman who wanted to take a phone call outside. The same woman spent the entire night bumping into the back of my dads chair and pushing him forward. I think the location of the place partially aggravates this issue. Overall I would say to everyone go and eat great food but have patience with the people and maybe avoid the weekend times with the music unless you're into blaring music in your ears lol read more

I was happy to find this gem on google. While traveling in Florida, I wanted to grab some good Cuban food. This place came up with high ratings so we gave it a go. Upon entering I noticed that we were the only tourists in there. The host spoke english so it made it easy to communicate. We were welcomed with lots of smiles and a very clean restaurant. After being seated, we were served crispy plantain and a side of an aioli type sauce. It was light and flavorful. This is a buffet style restaurant serving beans and rice, veggies, various types of salads, meats, poultry and fish. Everything that we ate were tasty. The pricing is great. I've been there twice. 1st time was on the weekend on a Saturday. Food is very good, but the service was horrible. I went back again during the week on a Wednesday. And once again the service was unsatisfactory. There were only 4-5 tables that were there. We had to ask for water refills ask for the bill and they didn't even bring us the bread they give when you first sit down. When we asked about the bread the server told us the machine wasn't working that well and they only gave it to some people. How tacky for the server to even say that. He could have addressed it in a different manner. This particular server (a gentleman with blonde hair) is very rude. I can honestly say that even though the food is good, I'd rather go somewhere that the service, hospitality and atmosphere is more welcoming. Advice for the owner - change your staff. It is good for what it is. We got there and no line, were sat immediately. The buffet, well it is too close to the tables but has a great variety of items; everything cooked and presented great. The staff is always going around picking up plates etc. it's true that they are not the friendliest, but they aren't as bad as other reviews say they are.
