A Major Upgrade at Golden Corral Hialeah! I recently revisited the Golden Corral Buffet & Grill in Hialeah after about a three-year break, and I was genuinely impressed by the improvements. The entire establishment feels very clean, and the service is much better--attentive, friendly, and efficient. It's clear they've made a real commitment to quality and the customer experience. Plus, redeeming that $5 discount through the app made the already great value even better! The food quality was a major highlight. I must give a special shout-out to the Cuban Pork; it was incredibly juicy and tender--hands down, one of the best buffet pork dishes I've ever had. Beyond that standout, the buffet classics were excellent: the steak was very good, cooked just right for a buffet setting. The vegetables were noticeably fresh, bright, and not overcooked. The popcorn shrimp and fried chicken were perfectly crispy and delicious, and the meatloaf was satisfying comfort food. Selection of food choices were great. A wide variety of salads and desserts were available. The lady that waited on our group was pleasant and responsive. For the price you pay, this is a really good deal. If you are 60 years or older, you can get a senior discount in the early afternoon ($9.99 between 1-3pm). You also get a free drink with your buffet. This location is clean, modern and very stylish. I am used to the old Golden Corral restaurants that look like an old Ponderosa or Sizzler (if you don't know what I am talking about, you were not eating out in the 1980s...LOL). Their selection of salads, Mexican food, soups, vegetables, meats, pizzas, desserts and other items are really good. Many times you go to a salad bar and the leaves or vegetable are not great looking....not here....all the veggies look fresh and taste great.....The staff is constantly replenishing the food as it gets eaten. Nice waitstaff cleaning up the tables. The first Golden Corral restaurant opened in Fayetteville, North Carolina, in 1973. Fifty years later, Golden Corral is America's #1 buffet and grill. The girl who was out waiter was amazing she was respectful and always checked up on us. The plates were clean but the food was questionable, after taking a bite of the fired chicken I lost my appetite and decided to have desert. First of all when I read the deserts on the website I got so happy, they had all my favorites. However, the carrot cake was dry and tasted raw the puddings and flan tasted alright and the slushie was horrible. The ice cream (chocolate) was like any normal chocolate ice cream but the toppings were hard to look at. It was messy and the toppings were basically all mixed. And lastly, the interior. When I say it smelt like salt and vinegar in there it would be an understatement, I was happy leaving the buffet because it meant fresh air. This restaurant was so packed that people were waiting to get in. However, the line moves pretty fast; and once you pay, the hostess does an incredible job in having your party seated in no time. The buffet stations are all spotless and one has to wear disposable gloves to deal with the food. The staff is constantly cleaning stations and replenishing the food. Food - Is very well assorted. From diverse cooked & grilled steaks - to southern fried chicken - to assorted charcuteries - plus all types of pastas and pizzas. For the mindful and conscious eater, there's a salad bar. The dessert stations have cookies, brownies, soft served ice creams and anything in between that'll make a kid happy. Except for the salad bar, I tried a good amount of food from all the stations. All were fresh tasting, enticing and delightful to the palate. Just delicious...!! Although the chicken tried to k!ll me with the amount of salt that was on it. The desert, now I'd never think that ANYONE could mess this up. The disappointment on my face. Cake dryer than the Sahara Dessert, brownie taste like a crayon, the jello was good tho. But back to the smell. The food was as good as you can spect from a place like this. What really surprised me the most is the customer service. My table was attended by Leysi and she was amazing. I never had to ask for water or anything else as she automatically did it on her own. Little things matter and I can already tell she has a bright future. Me and my partner went to Golden Corral yesterday for lunch and I got to say I've never been to this one in Hialeah and I would never go back to this one ever again. First of all, the customer service when they are placing you at an empty table is just rude. The first person placed me at an empty table near the window and then the Spanish man who assumed I spoke Spanish when I don't just started to give me an attitude saying that it's reserved for someone else and I said how am I supposed to know that? I was furious and complained to the person who sat me down there because it's your fault for not knowing if it was reserved or not. And he's like saying "he's old, he's always like that" and I'm like I don't care, he was rude, he assumed I spoke a different language and it's not fair. So the other guy gave us a booth away from all that nonsense. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. And some customers don't know what space is. So the first time I came it was absolutely mid I mean it wasn't horrible but it was ok at best forgettable at worst then I go for a second time it somehow got worst and going for a while then I got for a third time and it was pretty good still nothing fantastic but then I go the fourth time and that's when they really shined. When we arrived for lunch, the greeter/cashier was friendly and very helpful. The seating area was very clean and well managed. The tables were clean, and the carpeting was clean. Which is hard to say as this kind of place... carpet is usually very dirty. Not here. Now, onto the food area. Huge select of meats and side dishes. As well as regional favorites like Mexican, Italian Asian. Everything was very fresh and extremely well presented. The dessert bar was ok. Had cookies and ice cream machine. Pies and cakes were minimal, but I suppose might have to have the wasting of food. The servers constantly checked on us, removed plates, and refilled our drinks. YUMMY! I've been here the past few weeks for breakfast and dinner. The food was very hot and delicious. They had a great selection of food items and they restocked many items in minutes. I wish I had room to eat more and more! LOL. The staff were professional and friendly especially the waiters and waitresses. The place was very clean and well-maintained. I had not gone to a Golden Corral in a long time, the last time I went was in Orlando this one is great they keep all the options coming and full, there wasn't anything I wanted to try that I had to wait for more then 5 minutes for a refill of it, the managers and cooks are very helpful even on a Sunday when the line is sometimes out the door, the food is tasty and hot they have the buffet very well structured, the servers are good and fast and attentive even though they handle multiple tables.
