When you walk up to the location it is very cute and charming. It has picnic tables for seating and they're very comfortable for sitting at. I got black beans and rice with mojo pork and my husband got a cuban sandwich. I tasted his sandwich and it was very delicious and the portion was really good for the price, it filled him up. He also received a small bag of plantain chips. I also got some pan cubano with my meal. Our food tasted like my cuban abuela made it which is a huge compliment. I also got a large iced cuban coffee and it was perfect. They also have a food truck if you're not downtown, it's on the waterfront. Didn't even wait 5 minutes for my food (Friday morning and 4 ppl waiting before me) The coffee was delicious and the coffee ice cubes add the final touches on the iced coffee. Excellent little breakfast or lunch spot in KeyWest. The foods made to order and delicious. I got a key wester with bacon for around 8 dollars. The sandwich was hot and tasty. The main attraction here for me is the amazing coffee! I got an iced cafe con leche vanilla no extra sugar! The guy was surprised of the request for no sugar for sure haha! While in Key West we had to try this place - so many great reviews on Yelp...and of course on the way it started pouring down rain! We made it there dripping wet (we had a super guy that waited on us- even got a towel for us to dry off!)...well it was worth walk in the rain! My husband and I both had a iced cafe con lèche (mocha & caramel) - and we split the Key Wester. Our sandwich was fabulous, very fresh & tasty - loved it. Great coffee of course. We made sure we bought some coffee beans before we left. Went out and spent the morning walking around shopping & exploring - and came back for another iced coffee on our way back to the south end! Five stars for price and unexpected high quality of both food and drink for the seemingly lower prices. We visited here nearly everyday on our vacation in Key West at the urging of a friend. So glad we did. This downtown location is the only one that provides adequate seating, the waterfront provides a couple of benched but we saw people getting attacked by the chickens there (one jumped up and grabbed a bite of a guys sandwich) The Cuban Carmel was good--we had one hot and one cold but my favorite so far is the Cuban Vanilla with sugar. We have also grown fond of the Key Wester with bacon. Fair warning that although drinks come out quickly, they are a bit slower with the food orders.
