Lehi Cubby's...you are beginning to disappoint me! This location is kind of the worst. First of all, I feel claustrophobic when I'm standing in line to order my food behind that huge wall. Second, the last time I came in with a group of girlfriends we waited almost 50 minutes for our food and it wasn't the usual delicious Cubby's I know and love! Sweet potato fries were burnt and my order was wrong but it had taken so long at that point I didn't want to say anything. Third, everyone should just plan on waiting till spring/summer to come here and eat because with the two giant doors in the middle of the restaurant it is FREEZING! Fourth, the signs on the bathroom doors make it very confusing to know where to go. We ordered this to go at 10:37am, as we needed it to go for teacher appreciation back at the school by 11:30am....Don't come between 11:00-11:30. It's the time breakfast and lunch is changed. Half the staff stands around, the other staff is rude. This is the second time they've made me late and I'm tired of it. My sister came from out of town with her 3 year old and we waited (the last time) 40 mins for food. Here I am, 15 mins in... waiting for food to go! Oh my GOSH this place is good. Service was fast and friendly despite being very busy and crowded. Drink machines have pebble ice. We ordered a Totonka (buffalo chicken sandwich), a Tri Tip Steak Sandwich with spicy BBQ sauce, an Apple walnut chicken salad and the Buffalo Bleu Cheese fries. EVERYTHING was delicious but id drive back to Lehi for those fries alone. The only down side to this place is that there isn't one in SLC. read more

This was my first time going to Cubby's, and I was impressed. The decor was contemporary and there is plenty of seating including a small outdoor area. I had the Lemon Chicken Parmesan salad, and the chicken was grilled and seasoned just right. I rate salads based upon if the chicken is real or not. This is REAL grilled chicken. The Lettuce was fresh and the dressing was not heavy at all. The combination was tasty and refreshing. Looking at the other sandwiches, it seems all the food is prepared with attention to detail and using fresh ingredients. You can't miss this hidden gem... I will be trying it again!! read more

This locations quality has gone since my previous review. We went last night because my 4 year old wanted "the good Mac and cheese". There were 6 of us and we all shared food and ate the same stuff...except for my 4 year old who was the only one who ate the Mac and cheese(2 year old refused).. he's thrown up 5 times since last night starting at 3am and it was just the Mac and cheese and liquids. It had to have been the Mac and cheese and he's the only one who got sick from it last night. Definitely a bummer because we used to love this place. Went here on a Monday around 2 pm and it was super busy. I got the Mr. Beef (6 inches) and the Buffalo Blue Cheese fries. My wife got the Cockadoodledoo and Sweet Potato fries. My kids got a chicken finger meal (grilled) with fries. My sandwich had great flavors and was super juicy. If you get it dipped (like I did), just make sure to eat the sandwich quick, or it will be really soggy. The buffalo blue fries had great flavor and were really creamy from the blue cheese dressing, which was great--although I would have loved to see some blue cheese crumbles on there. My wife said the chicken on her sandwich was a bit dry, and the sweet potato fries had good flavor, but most of them were overcooked. The kids chicken was dry and the fries were fine. We definitely wouldn't get their chicken again, but the beef was great. Next time, I think I'll try the tri-tip steak, since I've heard it is spot on. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'll be back, but I would like to see them up their game with the chicken and sweet potato fries. Update: Went back after being asked to try the chicken and sweet potato fries again. This time the chicken and sweet potato fries were excellent. Glad we gave it another try. Got the Tri-Tip steak sandwhich with rosemary fries and my wife the beet salad. Both were very tasty if a tad small. The sandwhich meat was tender and mixed with the right amount of chopped onion. The spicy BBQ sauce I chose had a nice hotness with some balancing sweet. The bread was ok. Soft and fresh but nothing to write home about. My wife enjoyed her beet salad and it did feature ample beets, nuts, cheese and crisp, fresh spring mix lettuce. The portions of fries were huge. The Sweet Potato fries were accordian-style, very cruncy, and lots of that sweet potato flavor without too much residual oil. The rosemary fries were solid, well-seasoned and crisp. Too many crunchy little nubs in the bottom of the bag for my taste, but that may be a bonus for some. Finally the side of Mac n Cheese: the noodles were firm, and the cheesy taste (3 cheese blend) was more sophisticated than the runny, velveeta-style offerings at many places. I try so hard to like this place as much as everyone else I know does, but I am just not feeling it. Their salad dressings are pretty much water (or cilantro *insert gagging emoji*) and that's a little disappointing to me for how much I'm paying for salad. I really feel like a dressing is what makes a salad! I am also a hater of arugula so that might have something to do with this review and every time I ask there is no possibility of them making a salad without it for me, so my disappointment just hasn't be shaken no matter how much I try. I love everything about Cubby's. I rarely give 5 stars. To be honest I always get the same thing: tri-tip salad and rosemary fries, but not because I'm afraid of the rest of the menu, just because I have been so satisfied since my first order. I'm sure everything else is just as good. I only wish I could go enough that I felt free to explore a little more rather than always get my favorite. :) Food is always fresh, quality, and the service is quick and friendly. It has been nearly a year since I last visited Cubby's. After 3 or 4 times of standard food and more options opening up, I gave up on them. Some friends wanted to eat here for dinner and I'm glad they did. A couple of things have changed since a year ago. Multiple people no longer ask what your order will be as they did before (that was really weird), they've put up a glass pane between the line and the food prep area that wasn't there before, and I believe they have a new (as in new to me and wasn't there a year ago) chipotle fry sauce...which sounds like heaven and tasted pretty good too. Some things are still the same, the oddly large chalk board menu that you can't read without eagle vision, the annoyingly loud noise inside, and the great outdoor seating are still there. That's okay though. I ordered a Dragonslayer and split some blue cheese fries with my girlfriend. I got a small drink and a cream cheese cookie sandwich thing to share as well. The drink selection is better than I remember...I love when restaurants offer things other than the standard Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite line up. They've got Apple Beer, Red Cream Soda, and Squirt here. Not a huge deal, but a nice touch. The food came out reasonably quick, especially for the number of people there. The food was really good. Previously I complained about the burgers being dry. This was fixed. My burger was perfectly cooked, full of juice and flavor, and overall just a really good burger. It's still not worthy of the name Dragonslayer as it really, really isn't spicy at all, but it is a pretty good burger. The blue cheese fries were the stars though. I love good fries and I especially love good sauces. The toppings on them were incredible, and they were perfectly cooked as well. Once I got to the under layer of fries I was able to dip them in the chipotle mayo and thought that was really good as well. Overall I was pretty impressed with my meal. They've certainly fixed a lot of things over the last year and I won't hesitate to come back. Absolutely delicious tri tip steak sandwiches. Tender, flavorful, generous portions of meat. I had it topped with the sweet barbecue sauce, and they loaded my sandwich up with thick cut pieces of bacon that was fresh and not processed. The rolls were crispy on the outside with the perfect amount of crunch, and soft inside. My husband had the blue bacon tri tip sandwich, with spicy barbecue sauce. He absolutely loved it. We topped our meal off with a tasty shake that we sort of fought over. It was blueberry buttermilk. I was skeptical at first but upon first sip, I can say it did not disappoint. Five stars. The restaurant is very clean and simple and the staff are always super friendly (personally like the American Fork location better) Anything you order here has such good flavor! I mostly go for their salads, a few of my favorites are the rice and kale salad, tri tip steak salad and the lemon chicken salad ! If you go here make sure you try their Mac & cheese !!!! Tons of options that range from healthy to not so healthy, just my type of place. I have yet to try something that wasn't tasty. The wild rice and kale salad, three cheese grilled cheese (add steak), and the Houdini burger are my faves. All their fries are amazing but the sweet potato and the Buffalo fries are the best. Has amazing spicy chipotle fry sauce that I wish I could buy in a huge container and take home. The brunch is pretty good- i would say the breakfast burrito and the French toast are the best options, but the lunch and dinner food is by far better. Also, has amazing pebble ice for drinks. The only complaint I have about Cubbys is their take out service. I've had several experiences where their online ordering is disabled but also their phones are turned off. Local chain seems to be going down hill. Tri tip steak salad comes with very little steak. Most recent visit I was customer 3 of 3 total. The steak sandwiches come topped with homemade Giardiniera (Italian relish) and an in-house secrete sauce that sets the sandwich apart from the rest. Highly recommend. The Houdini is my favorite burger on the menu. The top sirloin beef is incredible. The burger comes loaded with sautéed portobello mushrooms, smoked bacon, smoked Gouda, mixed greens, crispy onions, and a garlic aioli tarragon sauce. Guests have the option to order the Houdini as a single or double. I go with the single. The sweet potato fries are definitely worth mentioning. I had the Houdini burger and some herbed fried. There was nothing special about the fries. They are your regular Fries. The burger was dry. It had a fishy taste to it which I can't seem to still make it out from it. This burger is priced okay. The bun is huge when you first open the burger but shrinks as you grab and eat. The lettuce gets really soggy inside. I can't really make out the cheese. The burger is really confusing in taste maybe the purpose of the name. I chose this restaurant based on the yelp reviews and was not disappointed. This restaurant is in a shopping center and close to an outdoor mall. We came on New Year's day for lunch and they were open and packed. The place was very clean and had a hipster vibe. We stood in line to order our food. I got a chicken sandwich that had pesto and other good stuff and my husband got a steak sandwich. We got two sides, one of macaroni and cheese and the other of French fries. After we ordered we received a table marker and sat and waited for our food at the table. Although we had a large party, the food came out quickly and was hot and fresh. Everyone enjoyed their food.
