They asked follow up questions to make sure they understood our needs, and did everything neatly and in a timely manner. They were polite and understanding. The loading went OK since we had already packed everything except for the furniture and art. All the boxes we packed were labeled by room and contents. The damage was discovered after the move. If the Forman chosen for the job is not good your move will be expensive, difficult and there will be damage. The guys they sent worked hard but not smart because the Forman was inexperienced. He did not focus on priorities that would make the move smoother, He was in CYA mode the entire time. He pointed out minor flaws in a few pieces of furniture that we already knew about and acknowledged. The irony of all this CYA is that these movers or rather their forman deliberately hid damage that they caused. * They damaged the wall in the stairwell of the destination we moved into by gouging the drywall and chipping the paint. And said nothing. * They chipped the glass of an expensive dining room table top. And said nothing. * They spilled Gatorade on the carpet in one of the bedrooms, covered it up with boxes. And said Nothing. * At the destination they dropped boxes that were clearly marked by room just about anywhere and everywhere. We found boxes marked "Kitchen pots and Pans" in the garage. * They left Art sitting in the hot sun * We had specifically asked that the beds be unloaded and set up in the bedrooms as one of the first things upon arriving at the destination, to determine what other furniture would fit. This was repeatedly ignored. Instead they dragged their feet but kept asking where certain pieces of furniture were to go. The move ended up being much more expensive by 30%. Take this is a caution. Maybe if you're a student and you have inexpensive stuff - things like this will not bother you. But if you have things you care about. Maybe you can hire a company that can do better. Working with them was frustrating and in the end very expensive.

The office people had the nerve to tell me "the movers don't always know the policy" then why let someone represent your company make false promises IF THEY DON'T KNOW NOTHING. This is on top of being an hour late to the house we moved from, taking at least 3 breaks, and taking several pictures while inside our home for who knows what. Update: Rachel also likes to post as the company on facebook with the same lies as they continue to make. As I expressed there others should be concerned with going with a company that is not trustworthy or honest especially when it involves entering your personal space. Best to avoid. First, with a positive, the follow up and customer service is great. It has to be, due to the following comments listed. 2. Moved a 1 bedroom apt( bedframe , mattress, dresser , 2 TVs , and a sofa), and it took 5 hours , with a locked elevator , in the same building, separated by 2 floors.Everything additional was boxed or bagged. No loose items. 3. They attempted to change the charges the day of the move , even though we had confirmed less than 24 hours prior. Claimed the 3rd person Was due to their double booking, snow , etc . And the additional man would speed up the process . Did i mention this simple 1 bedroom move took 5 hours for an in building, one bedroom transfer? Does that seem expedited ? Everything was a group effort, and teaching moment. this slowed the move down. For example, it Took 20 minutes of discussion to figure out how to disassemble a bed frame efficiently . Constantly going back and forth to the moving truck on the clock ( for what idk ) . If not watched , disappearing for 15-20 minutes at a time . 4. I was advised that I could leave my dresser items in the drawers, and they could move them efficiently. I now have to find someone to take my dresser apart, due to items some how making their way to inside unreachable areas insiders dresser. 5. I have to find someone to reassemble my sofa. They didn't put it back together. 6. You're charged 30 minutes to and from . So, you owe an hour before they start . They didn't have to leave the property, but charged me fuel . How do you charge someone fuel, and time for arrival, and departure ? Seems like the rate is only labor . You're also charged for any items used to rap to transport furniture . The intimation that they try to give you when you book is that is inclusionary. 7. With a discount, A DISCOUNT, this move cost me $1,000. Between the random 3rd man up charge , wrapping items for the large furniture , fuel charge , insurance that they make you cover that they don't disclose until the last minute that is almost $200 additional ... 8. Moved my items into the hallway, and left them there unattended while moving. 9. Even if you pay by phone, they want you to write your credit card information on a random piece of paper. It's a hard NO, for me. Yes, I signed, and let them go about their business. I booked my move a week in advance and paid a $100 deposit after being told it would guarantee my moving date and secure my spot. Then, only 3 days before my scheduled move, the manager -- I believe his name was David -- called to tell me they were fully booked for the entire week and that my move would either need to be rescheduled or canceled altogether. I made it very clear from the beginning that my apartment lease ends on the 31st and that I needed to move before then. Had this company been honest about the fact that paying a deposit did not actually guarantee service, I would have hired another moving company much earlier. Now I'm left scrambling at the last minute, despite having everything planned out. I also have to report to work in another state on the 1st, so this has created a major inconvenience and unnecessary stress. To make matters worse, speaking with them on the phone was a complete disaster. The communication was unprofessional, disorganized, and unacceptable. They agreed to refund the $100 deposit, but that does not make up for the inconvenience, stress, and potential consequences this situation may cause me. If I receive penalties from my landlord for a late move-out or face any employment-related consequences because of this company's failure to honor their commitment, I will absolutely be exploring all possible legal and consumer protection options.

We used Patton's Moving to move us 15 minutes away from our current house. The move was today - May…read more22, 2026. Their employee, Tyler, came to our house and looked over everything we had to move and gave us a price of $1750 to move 2 beds (frame and mattresses), 2 nightstands, 8 dressers, a washer and dryer, and 1 mirror and a small chest freezer. We also had another quote for $1200 from a competing company. I told Tyler, the estimator, that the other price was $1200 and he said, "let me see what I can do" and then offered to do the job "all in at $1425.". All we had to do was leave our $200 deposit & we'd get a call from scheduling. The price fair and we shook his hand and left the $200 deposit. A few days passed, and no one had called to schedule a time for the move. We called them yesterday, the day before the move, to see when the movers would arrive. They told us that our time was between 8 AM and 9 AM. They arrived around 8:30 today. We met the movers -Carlos, the lead mover, Juan, and Jesner. The gentlemen were just awesome. They were professional, hard working, excellent at making sure our items were placed where we wanted them, and they were so kind. They are the only positive part of Patton Moving. When they finished the job, Carlos provided us a bill for almost $2300. We explained to him that Tyler had quoted $1425 for everything. To get this fixed, we needed to call the office. The owner was so incredibly rude and argumentative. He told us that quotes are "just ideas" and he demanded payment. We explained that there was absolutely no information, spoken or written, that covered this. We reiterated that Tyler told us that we were "all in at $1425..." and shook Tyler's hand. The owner remained belligerent and started telling us that the movers didn't have lunch and had to walk 36 steps to get into our house and it took longer than expected to move us and to pay him. He was extremely unprofessional and treated us as if it was OUR fault that their employee lied to us and misquoted the job. We are the customer and Tyler had ample opportunity to walk our home, see our furniture, and provide us with a price. Tyler demonstrated that either he is awful at quoting jobs, or he is awful at it AND he engages in what I believe are devious business practices. The owner must also engage in these devious practices as he did not listen to a word we said. Tyler did us wrong when he lowered our price just to get the job. He told us "all in" it was $1425.00. He said nothing about mileage, additional hours, or that your "quote" was floating. Never in my life have I had a "floating" quote for moving. He walked through our house with us, gave us a price, and we shook hands. I felt horrible for the gentleman who did our physical moving for us. They were just awesome. Patton Moving does not deserve to have such good people working for them. I'd hire all three of them to work for me any day! My husband agreed to split the difference with them, and yes, we did get screwed over. Legally, we didn't have to pay it. I would've preferred to see them in court than pay a company that sends people out to give low ball quotes with nothing else disclosed, then bills them frivolously and fraudulently. My husband just wanted an end to the stress so he paid - although now he regrets that. We paid more that "splitting the difference" because they also didn't credit our $200 deposit. He also said my husband was rude when he called to talk about the bill. My husband was not at all rude. From the moment the owner picked up the phone, he was aggressive and my husband called him out on his rudeness which made the owner even more aggressive. This company is not one with integrity and I cannot believe what we experienced from the shady tactics to the treatment from the rude owner and his lies. Buyer beware. What I've written is the truth.
