Careful of these guys. I had an old card which failed payment, received a voicemail from them and updated it on the day the invoice was due. Got a voicemail today that payment was past due. They ran the card today and all good. Except they are charging a late fee...essentially because they re-ran the card late. They refused to remove the late fee. They're unethical and cruel. Stay away. There are better options out there. read more

Do not rent a storage unit from this company. The monthly cost seemed reasonable when I first signed up, but they raised it by 40% over the course of a year. They know it's difficult and costly to move to a new unit, so they take advantage of that to jack up the rate. read more

We were in a jam, needing to find storage on short notice and for a two month period of time. Luckily, right nearby, this storage facility was able to assist and save the day! We initially had a smaller storage assignment, however, the day of our move, we had to switch to a larger space. Consider it done. No issues. The management here is super friendly and accommodating! Wendy is one of the most wonderful people I've had the pleasure of working with. From the very beginning she was nothing but kind, honest, straightforward and understanding. She covered everything I needed to know so thoroughly that I was left with zero questions or concerns about storing my belongings with Cubesmart. I had the utmost confidence leaving my belongings in a storage unit that I knew she was overseeing. I even (accidentally) violated a couple policies pertaining to the removal of stored items, and instead of getting irritated or impatient, Wendy kindly explained the regulations and procedures on their end, was empathetic toward my situation, and took the extra time to help me find a solution. They'll say what they can to get your business. The facilities and staff are nice enough, with the exception of the elevator and general manager. However, I don't walk away from my experience with Cube Smart with a great feeling. I was told that my monthly fee would be prorated if I chose to close my account mid-month. I'm positive about this because it was a specific question that if asked the staff upon signing up. So today, upon closing my unit, I was surprised that was not the case, especially since I was only a few days into my new month, and the general manager offered nothing more than "Sorry." Not sure if it was incorrect information given intentionally or unintentionally, but either way, I wish I'd been given correct information, as that impacted my decision to go with this company and when I decided to close the unit. I've moved to a further location, so I decided to come by here to close the unit and empty it of the handful of things still inside when I was in the area again. If I'd known that I'd be charged a full month, not pro-rated, I'd have made it a point to come by before I was charged for another full month. All in all, pretty disappointed and I will not be going back to this Cube Smart location, when I'm in need of storage options again. read more

Parking makes it very hard to load in anything with wheels, and you can't use a ramp to get over the parking bumpers. Staff was very rude and unhelpful. read more

very professional. they make your transitions easy. common sense is the factor. the staff at this place is very accommodating and understanding, almost too much. but if you're a dead beat don't pay your bills, or trying to live in your storage unit...... yeah you're the one with the problem. definitely going to stay with this company if I need to store anything elsewhere, it's an organization you can trust. read more

If you care about your belongings DO NOT store them at this place. They have severe flood damaged and STILL have water in over 200units. They never informed most customers that their units where damaged and didn't inform ANY customers that the the roof had blown off from hurricane Sandy damage until 4 days after the fact. They just closed shop and waited for people to pay their rent. The entire storage facilty was flooded from the 4th floor down to the bottom. Not only is there water damage but now mold damage because off the procrastination in informing the customer. I myself have lost over half my storage unit not just from water but mold. Mold that would never have been a problem if I was notified and was able to salvage my belongings in a timely fashion. I understand Mother Nature can not be stop but CubeSmart has handled this very poorly. Not only are we still required to pay this months rent, mind you they are currently providing 1month free to NEW customers affected by the storm, but they are even refusing to provided cardboard boxes to those whos belongings where so water logged the boxes fell apart. They will only provide boxes if you are willing to buy them at $3 a piece. They are using this terrible tragedy to make a profit. read more

I've had 2 storage units here for the better part of 4 years and the customer service and personal attention is always stellar. They go out of their way to assist you when you need anything, calls are returned promptly, you're treated more like 'family' when you show up - they know you by name and always say hello. Facilities are always clean and there are always (with the very, very rare exception) plently of carts to help get your stuff in or out. I was with Public Storage for 8 years and you can read my reviews about that abysmal company. Cube Smart is the polar opposite. Can't say enough good things about the manager, Kristen and her team - they really understand customer service. The facilities aren't gated, but I've never experienced any problems there and Public Storage's gates were always broken - supposedly better security, right? I had items stolen from there but never any issues with Cube Smart. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good, safe, reliable storage facility. read more
