DO NOT RENT HERE!! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!! i rented a 5x5 unit for the past 6 months and i want to start by saying that the inside of my unit was not swept out when i first got it and the employee just kicked the trash out with her foot and had it sitting in front of my door for well over a month before it was picked up and the inside of my door was covered in white fuzzy mold!! then today my fiance went to empty it out my storage unit and my boxes along the top were covered in rat piss and feces!!! there was a dead roach and roaches walking up the wall! and not to mention WE FOUND A DEAD F*KING RAT IN THE BACK OF MY UNIT BEHIND MY MATTRESS AND THE PLASTIC HAD BEEN CHEWED!! Do not go near this facility. I must have paid them $70,000 over the years. In November 2024 I signed a letter of abandonment with CubeSmart Oceanside, CA. But that did not stop them from billing me. I spoke with a manager in December 2024, asking why they were still billing me. The manager located the Letter of Abandonment and acknowledged it. I told him I was still being billed and asked him to stop billing me. He said that he probably could not do that. Today I got a bill for more than $700 from them, and that is after I placed 3 phone calls last week, none of which were returned. So, if you think you are ever going to leave CubeSmart without a problem, good luck. Over the last 3 months I have called numerous times, and sent one email. No one responded to any attempt on my part. read more

This place is horrible, do not rent a space here because your stuff will not be safe. There are no security measures at all. My stuff was stolen and the all of a sudden the cameras were down. Please trust me when I say do not put your items here. read more

On Sunday 11/24/24 while visiting my storage unit I had to call Oceanside Police Dept. As a woman alone, I did not feel safe. A gentleman had dragged his items and filled up the hallway not allowing me access to my paid storage unit. There is also a man 'living' in E309. Rents are high everywhere so people have figured out you can rent a storage unit for much less than an apartment. In a different unit a man and woman were loudly fighting and the woman was crying out of control. In that unit the man had a loud construction project going on with drills and saws leading me to believe they were going through the walls to steal their neighbors property. This has already happened to me. In August 2024 there was theft of myself and about 30-35 other units. Even then there have been no changes made to this property. When you enter this building it reeks of pee, and there is always trash left behind by the un-housed. Doors to the building are left unlocked. Many find shelter here because the surrounding wall of the property is only 5-6 feet high, and the neighborhood is inundated of homeless people. I have complained to management and also the district manager. I have asked for alarms, cameras, combo locks and razor wire, what has been done?? - nothing! If you are a US Serviceman DO NOT rent here. You do not deserve to be treated like this. read more

Been renting a storage here for two years and during that time there's been multiple people living in units, homeless are always on the street outside. It's a rough area so I wouldn't recomend any women coming alone. They recently had some work being done on the doors for the outside street level units and the guys that they hired to do the work were sketchy and confrontational with renters trying to get into their units. Now just overnight mine as well as multiple units throughout multiple buildings were broken into and ransacked. Conveniently their cameras are down and the manager was out today. The lady filling in for the manager was very nice and as helpful as she could be but I just find all of this to be very weird. You need a code to get in and out of the gate and it locks at a certain time at night so it must be someone that knew they could get away with it. I will be moving my stuff elsewhere but look forward to hearing from management to see how they are handling this. Their resolution so far has been to let us move our stuff into another unit 2 buildings away. Impossible for one person to move a completely full unit by themselves down stairs and back up stairs in another building in just one night. When asked for a lower level unit instead they said no because it cost too much more and they were already giving us a deal letting us take another one that cost more and not charging us for the difference. The least they can do though right? They said to just move the "important stuff" for now. Its all important. When asked for another lock so that we can move some stuff for the night and lock both units they said they were under 20$ and we can buy one. Take your business elsewhere. read more
