Great location right off the 10 fwy located in an outdoor mall with plenty of parking and Tesla supercharging. I love pho but I've never had Pho as amazing as theirs! O M G!!! This location appears like one of those small hole in the wall places that is an absolute hidden gem. Their food is SO SO good. Atmosphere is totally casual with music playing. All the employees I have encountered are exceptional. It is obvious this place is known and has its regulars. Many dine in their small dining area and many order out for pick up. Their thai tea is also SO SO GOOOOD! If you've never been here you gotta experience it at least once. I dare to say that you WILL be back. Get the Pho for sure

Back again with my vegan partner and he approves all the vegan options here! We have been back 4x already and he always wants to eat at Culantro when he visits me. He always gets the large vegan pho which I've tried. The broth is flavorful and soothing. Loaded with veggies and tofu. I have gotten both the lemongrass tofu vermicelli (normal fish sauce) and the tofu and veggie egg roll vermicelli with vegetarian fish sauce. The egg rolls are really good! They are vegan despite the name "egg roll." We've been on weeknights and weekend nights and they're always popping! Service is always super nice too.

We were supposed to go to another restaurant in the same area but the wait list was long, so we walked around and saw this Pho place and decided to go to this one instead. The place is small but it doesn't seem to run out of customers. The ambiance is ordinary with a no-frills vibe. Service is just okay, they forget to give stuff that's supposed to go with the ordered food. The staff are kind but busy so it's understandable if our server forgot to give us whatever things we were asking for, or that it's easier to go to another server yourself to ask for something rather than wait for them to notice you needing anything. Food is okay. Their nước mắm is so-so, I make better nước mắm at home. We ordered the following: Egg rolls - 3/5 They were just so-so compared to other egg rolls I've tasted in other Vietnamese restos. They scrimped on the lettuce (notice in the picture that they just give 2 pieces of lettuce leaves, and just cut each in half so there are 4 halves for each of the 4 egg rolls) to be wrapped around it. I just asked for more lettuce leaves. Seafood pho - 3/5 This was our first time to order pho in seafood form as we always ordered the regular pho with beef. The taste neither disappointed nor dazzled us. We just enjoyed the hot broth since it was a rainy and cold day. I had to ask for the leaves (mint, etc.), lime and bean sprouts to be added to it since the server didn't give us any. Lemongrass Rice Plate (with chicken) - 4/5 Among our orders, this was the one that we could actually say was delicious since the chicken did not disappoint. In the end, though he didn't need to (since we understand how busy he was), our server offered to give us a discount for the things he missed to give us. Their bathroom was just okay.

Came here on a rainy Sunday around 2pm and luckily we got in right before the lunch rush with a line of people waiting! We ordered: - Egg Rolls - Thai Iced Tea - Lemongrass Rice Plate (Chicken) - Seafood Pho My favorite was the lemongrass rice plate and the egg rolls were pretty good too! I usually order a combo pho but tried seafood this time and it was pretty good and came with a side of fried fish fillet that was honestly good on its own. The space was cozy, with cute signs and even though it was packed, the service was kind and attentive as could possibly be given it was so busy. They were even kind enough to give us a discount due to some small things missing we had requested (herbs for the pho and takeout containers) Glad we stumbled across this place!

Came here with my partner on a Sunday around 12:30 PM (peak lunch hours), and we just barely missed the crowd. There are also Tesla chargers in the parking lot, which is nice if you want to multitask while eating. AMBIANCE The space is clean but quite small. Tables are a bit tight--just enough room for two entrées, one appetizer, and water cups. Anything more than that would be a squeeze. FOOD Combination Pho: Great ratio of meat, noodles, and broth. The broth is more spiced and less salty than other pho, but in a good way. It's my partner's favorite pho we've had recently. The noodles were also super fresh and bouncy. Bitter Days Coffee: AMAZING--I would order this every time. Super creamy, not too sweet, and with a strong black sesame flavor. Heads up: the black sesame can be a bit grainy, which I personally liked because it tasted very fresh, but it might not be for everyone. SERVICE It seems like a family-owned and operated spot, and they're clearly working hard. We had no issues with service, and everyone was very kind. Overall: I'd definitely recommend this place and would happily come back!

Whenever the weather shifts or I'm craving delicious pho, this is my favorite spot. Everything is freshly prepared, and I can really taste the high-quality ingredients. The service is exceptional, and I enjoy eating there. I highly recommend the egg rolls, and I always opt for the chicken pho. It never fails to impress.

Visiting from out of town and stopped in for lunch. So glad we did. The service was quick and friendly. The pho was incredibly flavorful and the fried rice was delicious. The vermicelli was good as well though my partner mentioned the fish sauce that comes on the side could have been a bit sweeter. Other than that no complaints at all. Would definitely come back again if we're in the area wanting our quick pho fix.

The experience when visiting Culantro & Basil Pho Bistro was unexpected. The service was superb, the staff was very attentive. The place was clean and the food delicious.

    A bug

So nasty my food had a roach.. They still charged me $15 for the appetizers ridiculous. Be aware if you want a pho with roaches I use to go all the time until now.

My son and I went out for dinner and yelp guided us here! The ambiance is super cute and clean. We were seated immediately and given water. For our appetizer, we went with the sweet garlic wings. They were freshly fried, extremely hot and delicious. We both ordered pho, one beef and chicken. The chicken pho broth is amazing on its own but, I added some hoisin sauce, siracha and it was even better. We were feeling a little greedy and ordered the garlic noodles with chicken. They were good but, I was focused on the pho and decided to take it for leftovers. I probably ordered more than I should but, it was worth it. I recommend giving them a try, the service was great as well.

Looks like this place is kind fusion, with modern decor. The noodle came with different types of topping tasted pretty good. The friend chicken wings was nice but the taste was as expected.

They always have a lot of seating and are always willing to help if you have any questions or need any additional service. Their menu is extensive and they have a bunch of items, but my favorite thing to order there DIY spring rolls, as well as bun bo hue. To be honest, you could order almost anything on the menu, but those are my go to. It is quite loud in there, but there's always people inside, enjoying their food. It's a place to go and it reminds me of home when I can't get home made food. There's a bunch of TVs around if you feel like watching the news or any sports, their restrooms are relatively clean, and their parking is in a huge plaza so depending on the time you go, there should be parking! This is my place to go... I'm already thinking about when I'm going next.

The food tastes authentic, the quality is amazing, and everything is so rich and flavorful. You can really tell they care about the food they make. It's located on the corner to the right side of Hong Kong Plaza near Haven City Market, and honestly this restaurant really stood out to me. I already love this plaza, but this place quickly became one of my favorite spots there. One thing I really love is their pork spring rolls. They make them fresh when you order, and you can definitely taste the difference. They're so fresh, delicious, and honestly one of the best spring rolls I've had in a while. They also do catering, which I definitely plan on using in the future if I ever host a party or birthday because the food is just that good. I only had one issue during one of my visits. I can't eat cucumber, so I asked for no cucumber in both my pork dish and spring rolls. They accidentally still included it in my pork dish. Thankfully, when I brought it up, they fixed it quickly and apologized right away, which I appreciated a lot. I still love this place, but I do think it's important for people with allergies or food restrictions to double check their food before eating, just to be safe. Besides that, everything else has been amazing. The restaurant has a really calm atmosphere with lots of greenery and that open, cozy Vietnamese restaurant feel. The workers are also really kind and welcoming every time I come in. I also appreciate how authentic this place feels. Whenever I'm trying food from another culture, I always want something that feels genuine, and this place definitely gives me that experience. I come here a couple times a month now, and it's honestly one of my favorite places to eat. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the cucumber issue, but overall the food and experience are still amazing.

Not too many local Vietnamese restaurants offer Bun Rieu, I'm surprised it offers this soup! Good portion and plenty of broth for both noodle soups. Tastes as expected. Pricing wise, a little more than I expected considering the local area, but I can't complain about the portion. Also keep in mind it does charge an 18% surcharge for party of 5 or more. Parking: The place is located in a plaza. You won't have trouble finding a space to park…read more Inside: It's a small and cozy mom and pop shop that gives at home vibes. The inside has a few booth and table seatings. I would say no more than 15 tables total. Phở Tái Sách/ Pho w/ Rare Steak and Tripe (regular): The pho bowl came with a huge size portion of noodles, soup, rare steak and tripe. On top they garnished it with green onions, cilantro and thinly sliced white onions. The meat they used is very thinly sliced and tender. The tripe was also cooked well. If you have never had tripe before I would describe it as having a super mild taste and it's mostly there to adds texture. It tastes really great too because t soaks up the broth flavor. If you like chewy noodles or mushrooms with a bit of bite, you might like tripe. The pho noodles they used are the ones I love the most. It's a thin pho noodle and they cooked them perfectly. The broth is clear, has a good depth of flavor, not overly greasy and the salt amount they added is perfect. On the side they give you a plate of other garnishes, beansprouts, chili peppers, lime, and basil which you can add to your hearts content. Spring rolls: I loved these a lot. They were very fresh and stuffed. Inside the spring roll is shrimp, sliced pork, lettuce, basil, and vermicelli. This is served with a side of peanut sauce. Loved that the sauce had chunks of peanuts for crunch. Overall: All the staff are very friendly, and the pho tastes homemade and authentic. Definitely a solid go-to when you're craving something warm and comforting. I'm so glad I found this lovely gem! I can't wait to come back again. PSA - They offer vegan pho bowls and vegetarian spring rolls and egg rolls.

Very good food, but the prices here are astronomical…read more I ordered by phone because I was driving and didn't have the ability to do it online. I was shocked when I went in to pick up that my order (a grilled pork banh mi, an order of egg rolls, and an iced coffee) was freaking $32!! I didn't get an itemized receipt, so once I got back to my car, I went to their website to look up prices. 4 egg rolls are $12.50. That's $3 per egg roll! The sandwich is $11 and the coffee is $6. The kicker is that there's a combo--sandwich and coffee--for $15. They could've saved me some money, but they chose to not to in order to make a few extra bucks. Their prerogative, but in this economy, not cool to not help out. The result: a customer who's not coming back and who's posting about it to warn others. I normally don't do this because I'm aware that mom and pops are struggling. It's also possible that the menu prices on their website are out of date and they did give me the combo price, but THIRTY-TWO DOLLARS (!!) for a sandwich (great bread and tasty but sweet pork, a little underwhelming on the fillings overall), some egg rolls (with enough lettuce for each one, as well as sauce and do chua, but also a little underfilled), and a 16 oz cup of coffee with ice and condensed milk is pretty crazy. I can get the same meal nearby for at least $5 less or find other types of food that'll feed more people for the same price.
