Great location right off the 10 fwy located in an outdoor mall with plenty of parking and Tesla supercharging. I love pho but I've never had Pho as amazing as theirs! O M G!!! This location appears like one of those small hole in the wall places that is an absolute hidden gem. Their food is SO SO good. Atmosphere is totally casual with music playing. All the employees I have encountered are exceptional. It is obvious this place is known and has its regulars. Many dine in their small dining area and many order out for pick up. Their thai tea is also SO SO GOOOOD! If you've never been here you gotta experience it at least once. I dare to say that you WILL be back. Get the Pho for sure

Back again with my vegan partner and he approves all the vegan options here! We have been back 4x already and he always wants to eat at Culantro when he visits me. He always gets the large vegan pho which I've tried. The broth is flavorful and soothing. Loaded with veggies and tofu. I have gotten both the lemongrass tofu vermicelli (normal fish sauce) and the tofu and veggie egg roll vermicelli with vegetarian fish sauce. The egg rolls are really good! They are vegan despite the name "egg roll." We've been on weeknights and weekend nights and they're always popping! Service is always super nice too.

We were supposed to go to another restaurant in the same area but the wait list was long, so we walked around and saw this Pho place and decided to go to this one instead. The place is small but it doesn't seem to run out of customers. The ambiance is ordinary with a no-frills vibe. Service is just okay, they forget to give stuff that's supposed to go with the ordered food. The staff are kind but busy so it's understandable if our server forgot to give us whatever things we were asking for, or that it's easier to go to another server yourself to ask for something rather than wait for them to notice you needing anything. Food is okay. Their nước mắm is so-so, I make better nước mắm at home. We ordered the following: Egg rolls - 3/5 They were just so-so compared to other egg rolls I've tasted in other Vietnamese restos. They scrimped on the lettuce (notice in the picture that they just give 2 pieces of lettuce leaves, and just cut each in half so there are 4 halves for each of the 4 egg rolls) to be wrapped around it. I just asked for more lettuce leaves. Seafood pho - 3/5 This was our first time to order pho in seafood form as we always ordered the regular pho with beef. The taste neither disappointed nor dazzled us. We just enjoyed the hot broth since it was a rainy and cold day. I had to ask for the leaves (mint, etc.), lime and bean sprouts to be added to it since the server didn't give us any. Lemongrass Rice Plate (with chicken) - 4/5 Among our orders, this was the one that we could actually say was delicious since the chicken did not disappoint. In the end, though he didn't need to (since we understand how busy he was), our server offered to give us a discount for the things he missed to give us. Their bathroom was just okay.

Came here on a rainy Sunday around 2pm and luckily we got in right before the lunch rush with a line of people waiting! We ordered: - Egg Rolls - Thai Iced Tea - Lemongrass Rice Plate (Chicken) - Seafood Pho My favorite was the lemongrass rice plate and the egg rolls were pretty good too! I usually order a combo pho but tried seafood this time and it was pretty good and came with a side of fried fish fillet that was honestly good on its own. The space was cozy, with cute signs and even though it was packed, the service was kind and attentive as could possibly be given it was so busy. They were even kind enough to give us a discount due to some small things missing we had requested (herbs for the pho and takeout containers) Glad we stumbled across this place!

Came here with my partner on a Sunday around 12:30 PM (peak lunch hours), and we just barely missed the crowd. There are also Tesla chargers in the parking lot, which is nice if you want to multitask while eating. AMBIANCE The space is clean but quite small. Tables are a bit tight--just enough room for two entrées, one appetizer, and water cups. Anything more than that would be a squeeze. FOOD Combination Pho: Great ratio of meat, noodles, and broth. The broth is more spiced and less salty than other pho, but in a good way. It's my partner's favorite pho we've had recently. The noodles were also super fresh and bouncy. Bitter Days Coffee: AMAZING--I would order this every time. Super creamy, not too sweet, and with a strong black sesame flavor. Heads up: the black sesame can be a bit grainy, which I personally liked because it tasted very fresh, but it might not be for everyone. SERVICE It seems like a family-owned and operated spot, and they're clearly working hard. We had no issues with service, and everyone was very kind. Overall: I'd definitely recommend this place and would happily come back!

Whenever the weather shifts or I'm craving delicious pho, this is my favorite spot. Everything is freshly prepared, and I can really taste the high-quality ingredients. The service is exceptional, and I enjoy eating there. I highly recommend the egg rolls, and I always opt for the chicken pho. It never fails to impress.

Visiting from out of town and stopped in for lunch. So glad we did. The service was quick and friendly. The pho was incredibly flavorful and the fried rice was delicious. The vermicelli was good as well though my partner mentioned the fish sauce that comes on the side could have been a bit sweeter. Other than that no complaints at all. Would definitely come back again if we're in the area wanting our quick pho fix.

My son and I went out for dinner and yelp guided us here! The ambiance is super cute and clean. We were seated immediately and given water. For our appetizer, we went with the sweet garlic wings. They were freshly fried, extremely hot and delicious. We both ordered pho, one beef and chicken. The chicken pho broth is amazing on its own but, I added some hoisin sauce, siracha and it was even better. We were feeling a little greedy and ordered the garlic noodles with chicken. They were good but, I was focused on the pho and decided to take it for leftovers. I probably ordered more than I should but, it was worth it. I recommend giving them a try, the service was great as well.

Looks like this place is kind fusion, with modern decor. The noodle came with different types of topping tasted pretty good. The friend chicken wings was nice but the taste was as expected.

I really wanted to love Couwami Asian Fusion!…read more The small, family run restaurant cozily braided into a strip mall one block south of the 210 FWY on Azusa had piqued my interest when I'd ferried an Uber Eats order from there on SAT. Interest captured by the vivid scents wafting from the kitchen and the mostly positive Yelp reviews, I boomeranged back 24 hrs later to place my maiden order. I went with Shanghai Egg Rolls and the Yang Chow Fried Rice, but I'd asked them to substitute more chicken and Chinese sausage for the shrimp, as your favorite Yelp correspondent has never enjoyed shrimp in any form other than cocktails. The staff is exceedingly nice!!! Owner/proprietor JOSEPH and his wife skate around as balls of determined energy, but with welcoming smiles affixed to their faces. The prices are pretty reasonable- My tab for a generous multi-protein entree and appetizer was $19.34 including taxes. But can we please have a conversation about the flavors? Couwami partisans! Tell me-- Did your faithful correspondent order the wrong items?! My Shanghai Egg Rolls were undercooked, limp and flaccid. The flavors were solid but the texture was so off-putting and uncharacteristic for a typical egg rolls, that I could barely get them down. The Yang Chow Fried Rice was also undercooked- I'm used to fried rice that has a toasted, beigy-yellow finish with chicken or pork cooked to at least medium to medium well doneness. My entree was, as the picture attest, a faint ivory hue and I actually hadta toss it in my skillet for five minutes to toast up the rice and finish cooking the tendrils of chicken, which were served medium rare, a micro-degree above pink but with the unpleasant mouth feel of sushi. Not exactly the way you'd expect your proteins to be prepared! I'm a huge believer in redemption. And judging by the hundreds of 4.2 level reviews on Yelp, I suppose its possible I just caught the cook on a bad night or ordered the WDT (Wrong Damn Thing)...twice! I'd normally accord two stars but will bump this up to three based on the utter civility and decency that Joseph and his staff extended to me.

Plenty of noodles even in half portion. Love the fresh veggies! Brisket was tender and quite flavorful. Yes, I took a bite of the beef. I am seriously reconsidering to add beef back into my diet. I will need to start slow. Thanks And Broth for the tasty offer! In support of biz, I also got the Grill Chicken Salad plus an Ube Cream Viet Coffee. WOW, chicken and salad portions were impressively huge! Chicken was perfectly marinated and grilled. Just delish. Greens were very fresh and crisp. However, there was still a lot of water on the greens. After I brought it home, salad got whimpy unfortunately. They need to let the salad drain to dry. Ube Cream Viet Coffee was decent... ube flavor blended with viet coffee nicely. Staff was friendly and nice. Food came out timely. Atmosphere was quiet at shared seating. Girls' Night, Loud Music & Mystery Margaritas…read more Met up with my girlfriends after work and decided to give this spot a try. Parking was easy enough with plenty of spaces out front, which is always a great start. Walking in, I immediately noticed the ambience was on the darker side. Part of the dining area was closed off for a large party watching a soccer game, so we were seated at a few high-top tables near the bar. Not a big deal, but wow... this place is dark. And the music? Let's just say if you're planning to catch up with friends, be prepared to leave with a slightly raspy voice because you'll be doing a lot of repeating yourself. Now for the fun part... the margarita flight. It was my first visit, and honestly, it felt like it may have also been our waitress's first day. She was very sweet and checked on us often, which I appreciated, but when I asked about the margarita flight, things got interesting. The flight that arrived looked nothing like the photos I'd seen. Instead of the three cute margarita glasses pictured online, ours came as four small colorful shots--yellow, green, red, and orange. Naturally, I asked what flavors they were. Her response? "I have no idea." I even showed her the photo from Yelp, and she said she'd never seen it before. At that point, my friends and I just started making up our own flavors. As for the food, we took advantage of the 2 for $22 lunch special and ordered: * 6 Chicken Taquitos * 3 Steak Tacos * Steak Nachos * 6 Lemon Pepper Wings Honestly, everything was pretty decent! Then again, food always tastes a little better when you're starving after work. The asada tacos were flavorful, the wings hit the spot, and the nachos disappeared pretty quickly from the table. Now for the moment that truly left us scratching our heads... We ordered additional food and packed quite a bit to go. Since my friend's taquitos came with salsa, sour cream, and guacamole, we naturally asked if there were lids so we could take them home without turning the car into a dipping sauce disaster. Her response? "I'm sorry, we don't carry lids." Confused, I asked, "So what happens when people eat here and want to take leftovers home?" And without missing a beat she replied: "People that eat here don't usually take things home." Wait... WHAT?! I've eaten at a lot of restaurants over the years, and I can honestly say I've never received that response before. No lids? For anything? It was one of those moments where my friends and I just looked at each other wondering if we heard correctly. To be fair, I don't know if she was new, nervous, or just having an off day, but that interaction alone pretty much sealed the deal for me. Looking back it's actually pretty funny, but it's definitely not the kind of service experience that would make me want to come back for a second visit. Overall, I'd give this place 3 out of 5 stars. The food was decent, the waitress was sort of kind yet dismissive, but between the extremely loud music, dim lighting, mystery margaritas, and the unforgettable "people don't usually take food home" comment, this ended up being more memorable for the wrong reasons than the right ones. So for her responses & personality alone, bumped it down to 2/5 stars for me. Worth trying once? Sure. Would I come back? NOPE! Happy eats!
