I was originally skeptical because really good pho is usually not found outside Asian communities and in a strip mall but I was pleasantly surprised. Loved the addition of brisket and tendon as well but didn't get much filet, which is fine with me since I prefer the other meats anyway. Service was decent and typical of an Asian restaurant which is also fine with me. Means the food is more authentic :) Pro tip: get the bean sprouts pre cooked. Broth stays warm that way! The food, service, and attention were amazing even though we showed up about 1.5 hrs before closing. They will be having a grand opening soon as well. We both got pho and it was fantastic! The two ribs tasted bland with a pronounced watery boiled taste. The accompanying filet and brisket meat was very tender & flavorful, but its portions were lacking. And the broth's initial light savory flavor slowly grew bitter as the meal slowly cooled. It's a decent meal, but it's not very memorable. I also appreciated how staff left a complimentary mini dessert for guests. Staff described it as flan with coffee syrup. Unfortunately, this complimentary treat tasted somewhat watery & gelatinous; it lacked a dense body, and it barely had any taste. Concerning ambiance, Pho Rib (Glendora) is comfortable and very clean. I appreciated the beautiful art mural on its wall. Also, the tables and seats all felt well-maintained. I hate to leave this negative review as my previous dine in and to-go experiences have been good. In fact, the younger gentleman who usually takes phone orders and works at the cash register greeted us warmly on this visit. My daughter and I were craving pho and she really likes the eggrolls at Pho Rib. We ordered two orders of eggrolls and one Pho Combination. The menu says eggrolls are three pieces for $7.00, so we were expecting six. The older gentleman who took our order struggled to understand what we were saying. My husband speaks English as a second language so I'm normally pretty patient to speak slowly and articulate my words. The server seemed very frustrated to take our order and truthfully was a little rude. My daughter even commented that the server was "annoying." We both weren't confident that he understood some of our requests (including an extra bowl to share the pho). Or order came out (served by the same older gentleman) and thankfully he remembered a second bowl. Seemed a little stingy that he brought one napkin when we had two people dining. I had to use napkins from my purse because I didn't want to bother to ask for more. Our eggrolls arrived, and it was three somewhat long eggrolls that had been cut in half to equal six. I immediately realized that he had not understood we wanted two orders. But, I didn't decide to bother him to place a second order and figured the order was lost in communication due to the significant language barrier. We finished our meal, and I went to the register to pay. I didn't think much of the total ($35.15 with tax) but as we were walking to the car I checked my receipt. Yes, we were charged for two orders of eggrolls. Two orders at $7.00 for $14.00. Huh? I felt cheated. Because of his frustration and rudeness I just felt as though he intentionally tried to dupe us into thinking we received two orders. Did he think by cutting three eggrolls in half we would be fooled into thinking we received two servings? My daughter and I checked Yelp while sitting in our car to see both the menu picture of eggrolls as well as other diners who had posted pictures of their eggroll orders to compare. I was honestly heartbroken and offended to have been cheated. I don't think this mistake was inadvertent. Although the younger gentleman is friendly, we won't be returning. Two other small quibbles...Pho Rib serves lemon with its pho (I prefer lime) and the pho broth is very cinnamon-dominant. read more
