    Fried chicken dinner

The complimentary valet is wonderful! The hosts are super nice and polite! The servers were very helpful, knowledgeable about the menu, so nice and welcoming! The interior was gorgeous! I can't get over the chandeliers! Live music!! The food was fantastic. You can taste how fresh it was and how much care went into seasoning and plating. The menu is not over whelming but has many wonderfully made and absolutely delicious choices! I can't not stress, the fondue!! GET IT! Great place! Hope it does very well in SLC

Soft opening for Culinary Dropout - First off, I love the vibe of the entire restaurant. The staff is friendly, the decor is spectacular, there was live music, overall, a great place to be! Great idea to host an event for the soft opening for people to enjoy, staff and chefs to practice, and just brings great energy to the place! The whipped feta and tahini dip was great! Beautiful presentation and the grilled ciabatta paired very nicely. I do wish the apricot jam was a stronger flavor but still great! The salmon was ok, I think I just prefer a stronger flavor with salmon. The couscous was tasty and the entire dish was cooked well. The Korean style ribeye cap was AMAZING! Meat had great flavor and melted in your mouth. Great presentation as well. Definitely my favorite on the menu!! For dessert, there were three options. We decided on the monkey bread - it was packed with flavor and came out fresh! Wish there were more dessert options. Overall, such a fantastic experience! I highly recommend trying this place out!!!

Brand new spot in up & coming area. Nice complementary valet service. Decor inside is really cool with a slight goth feel. Greeted warmly, seated for lunch immediately. Service was outstanding! A very nice complete menu, that we sampled well. The two ladies ordered salads after we started with the soft pretzel buns with provolone cheese fondue. Absolutely terrific flavors, but do maintain some discipline, one could easily fill up on that alone! The Shrimp & Avocado Louis salad was delicious with a more than ample portion. While the Butternut Squash & Kale salad was nicely chopped and added some grilled chicken. Very flavorful. I was torn between the Chopped Chicken salad or tasting a couple more of their appetizers. I opted for #2, ordering the Pork Belly Hand roll with an easy spicy soy glaze over cool seasoned sticky rice. Additionally had the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp that stole the show! With just a tad bit of corn bread stuffing, with a good sized shrimp all held together with a tasty strip of bacon, all atop a wonderful pimento aioli sauce that complimented it all. It was perfectly sized for our group. I highly recommend Culinary Dropout, as all items are fully prepared on site and delicious! Give 'em a try!!

They absolutely killed us with kindness! Our server Brandon greeted us with a smile and brought out some amazing pretzels. The wings offered a unique take on traditional Buffalo wings--slightly sweeter than expected, but still delicious. I also loved the house-made potato chips with garlic dip, which were a fantastic way to start the meal. I'd definitely come back. A 10/10 experience!

Soft opening for culinary dropout and it's one of the best dining experiences of my life. We pull up unsure of where to park, but that isn't an issue because there was complimentary valet. My husband and I walked in and were immediately greeted by multiple people who all looked incredibly cool. The whole restaurant has a hip vibe. They had live music. There are ping pong and foosball tables in the back. One of the hostess took us to our table. She was talkative in a good way as she walked us to our booth. Our server, Rylee, was with us shortly after. She was kind, funny, and passionate about the menu. The drink menu looks really awesome, but we were boring. I got a Diet Coke to drink and my husband got a beer. Super good Diet Coke brew, and they were great about bringing refills. It was hard to decide which appetizer we wanted to try since so many looked amazing. We ended up going with the pigs in a blanket. Delicious!! My husband wanted the ribeye cap, but it had sold out (guess we have to go back). He ended up getting the steak frites. The steak was cooked perfectly and covered in a yummy butter sauce. It came with an arugula salad and of course fries. I got the fish and chips. The coleslaw that came with it was incredible with a very fresh taste. It was also super crispy. Both my husband and I thought they had great fries. For dessert, we got the peanut butter and banana sundae. It was sooo yummy. All the food was delicious. The service was incredible. Thought out the night, multiple people came to check in and see how things were going. You can feel the excitement the employees have!! The decor is super fun. You have to check out the walls in the bathroom. Super cute and kooky. I'm super excited for this new addition to SLC.

From the moment we walked in we felt welcome. Once we were seated our amazing server Izzy walked us through the menu. An amazing array of choices. I'll get right down it: everything was delicious and well seasoned. Service was attentive and thorough. Try the Bloody Mary and pretzel fondue. This place absolutely blew as away. What a wonderful addition to our community.

We had hoped for a more intimate atmosphere for our night out, however, the restaurant is definitely more lively and louder than a quiet intimate dinner out. There must have been a notable person sitting next to us because everyone it seemed that worked in the restaurant stopped by the table and had a conversation with this couple, and when the chef came out and walked right by us to have a conversation with the table next to us, that's when it dawned on me as a chef doesn't normally come out just to talk to a normal person like us. It was a little bit irritating with all the hoopla at the table next to us which put a little bit of damper on our anniversary meal. Especially when our waiter devoted significant time to the "special" table leaving us feeling a bit neglected in a top-tier restaurant like Urban Hill. However, the meal itself was delicious.

This one delivered with large, firm, expertly seasoned portobello & forest mushrooms over wide, freshly handmade pappardelle pasta that soaks up rich beef stock (a touch of black pepper) blended with crème fraîche. A generous portion of wagyu is tender and rich. PRO TIP: Mix then let it sit & marinade a minute - flavor pays in dividends. For dessert, a Valhrona Chocolate Pudding topped with whip cream and Maldon flake salt - exquisite, but expensive. The texture is comforting and delicious - olive oil adds a lingering finish with slight fruit.

Honestly the cheese course was not my favorite. It was good cheese, but I didn't think the greens paired well with it so it really was just cheese, which I found a little disappointing. They quickly boxed our food and even brought me some Claritin to help tide me over. The food was piping hot when they boxed it and traveled beautifully, which was a bonus for sure. For brunch, my husband had the burger with a fried egg and I had their special of the day: chilaquiles. This might have been the best chilaquiles I've had in the valley.
