We brought our boys in here for dinner last week and had a great experience. We skipped the biscuits and tried the house made naan. the first round was a bit undercooked, but we loved the yogurt dip so much that we ordered a second round of naan bread and we were thrilled that we did because it was excellent. The food was great. I had the salmon sandwich and my husband got the chicken. We both enjoyed our food. My boys had macaroni and chicken tenders and the portions were large enough for them. There is a great drink menu services friendly the space is beautiful and I love stopping in here.

We came here for our anniversary, and the service was impeccable from start to finish. They even printed out menus that said happy anniversary with our names on them. I am an oyster snob and I've tried oysters across the valley and these were some of the better ones. I've had the pleasure of experiencing. The drinks appetizers and dinner were all incredible. It is a luscious interior and a fancy vibe. I've gone to a couple of restaurants owned by the same group and I'm always impressed. Would highly recommend.

Smash burger with truffle fries is my go to order. Slightly upscale. Fast service. Free parking in garage

Can't see it but it's their weekday special salmon sandwich

Hearth and Hill serves a great weekday lunch special $20. This offers you to become familiar with their contemporary and comfortable interior.

Our party enjoyed an excellent dinner at Hearth & Hill. If we lived closer to Sugarhouse, I think we would be regulars. The Brussels Sprouts and Baked Brie got us started on the right note. Goat cheese on Brussels Sprouts was a first for me, and it totally worked. I had the Smash Burger--cooked perfectly, fun toppings, and a delicious bun. I also loved the fries it came with. My friend had the chef's cut, which was a NY strip, cooked perfectly, medium-rare. The Birria Tacos and Pork Medallions were also ordered and received well. I was able to steal a bite of everything on the table, and I was overall impressed! The squash puree and endives that came with the pork were standouts. My one critique was that the pork medallions were overcooked and slightly dry. Looking at other review photos of the dish, they seem to overcook it frequently. Beyond the food, the restaurant is gorgeous, and the service was excellent. Declan was an attentive server, and the staff around him tended to us with subtlety and professionalism. I would recommend Hearth & Hill to anyone prioritizing an upscale dining experience with a lively atmosphere at a mostly reasonable price point.

Went here for a friend's bday and LOVED how they had a custom menu for us! Overall the interior vibe is more cozy-upscale compared to the true upscale vibe of their sister restaurant Urban Hill, but I believe their aim is to be more of a neighborhood gathering spot versus and upscale restaurant. I love their open kitchen concept, it shows their confidence when it comes to their food! Parking; they validate for the sugar alley residence garage and NOT the VUE garage so don't make the same mistake as us! Service: service was great! All the staff from the hostess to the runners and server were all amazing and extremely attentive! I believe they change their menu seasonally so it was hard to find pictures of the food! Drinks: all the drinks tasted really good and I got to try both of the Sommelier's Recommendations and they tasted stellar! Food: We thought all the food was quality, but was expecting a tiny bit more considering the prices. My friend loved her bass, and I got the pork medallions and the endives were delicious but pork was a little bit lacking. The birthday boy got the chef cut and it was some form of 8oz wagyu but the black pepper sauce on the outside was DELICIOUS probably best tasting component.

I made a reservation for a large party and had to change to a few less as well as an earlier time and they were very accommodating. Love the area! The restaurant itself is beautiful and welcoming and the food was fantastic. We were there on Sunday during brunch - although we ordered off the menu. We all loved our meals. Thanks! We will return!

I live right next-door this restaurant. I've been there once before and had their breakfast burrito, which was amazing! Decided to take my son here while he was visiting town and did not disappoint. I had the eggs Benedict Florentine, which means no meat and we shared the bacon. And he got the hamburger. Our meals were absolutely delicious! The restaurant was very, very busy, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. There was not any long waits between getting our food getting our check, etc. The pancakes went by on a plate to another table and they look so yummy! I will definitely be coming back here again. I might try to go during the week because the weekend was very loud and busy. It didn't interrupt our meal, but it was loud so just FYI.

This was our first visit to the Sugarhouse location of Hearth and Hill. This is their second location after their Park City restaurant. Located on the first floor of one of the many condo buildings in the heart of Sugarhouse. The view from the outside looked inviting so we were glad to pop in and celebrate a birthday dinner here. We were promptly seated with our reservation for our party. The inside has a hip and modern feel with a variety of tables, booths and high tops for dining plus a full service bar on the one end with bar seating available too. Dio was our server and he sure made us feel welcomed. He reviewed the menu with us and offered a few recommendations to try. We started with a few cocktails and appetizers like baked brie, pork gyoza and some amazing cheddar biscuits with homemade butter. Wow all of the flavors were amazing and good portions too. For dinner I tried the Saddleback Pork Chop served with arugula, roasted potatoes and a demi-glaze. It looked huge when it came out but after the first bite the flavor explosion made me finish the entire entree. Fresh, flavorful and filling. The Chef's Cut steak was equally satisfying and tasty. Save some room for dessert too and you won't be disappointed. The Cherries Jubilee was a fun and tasty surprise for dessert. The only challenge is with the growth of Sugarhouse parking options are at a premium and many come with an hourly charge. So just be prepared when you come to dine or use a ride-share.

I got out to eat a lot-just check out my review count. So when I say that I've found the best chicken of my life, this means something. I'm not willing to give up the search, but so far, I'm ready to declare this one my favorite. And it came in an unsuspecting place-atop of green salad at Hearth and Hill. My son and I were enjoying a little staycation and wanted to try some new (to us) places and were thrilled to get in on a Saturday evening with no trouble. I was a little concerned at how many open tables we saw-people, get over here and support it! Service was outstanding, the ambience was elevated and inviting while the food was just terrific. I can't say enough about the refueled salad with chicken. I'll definitely be back to enjoy that one again. My son will be turning 21 in 4 months and is eager to try his first adult beverage. But he still has the palate of a ten year old kid, so we tried a couple mocktails to help him get an idea of what he's in for. He enjoyed both the drinks he tried and is excited to try the real deal soon. Maybe we'll come back here for his 21st birthday for his inaugural drink. And, of course, I'll have the salad.

My fiancé and I went here for Valentine's Day dinner. Made reservations in advance for a special curated 4 course menu for the night. I got the trout appetizer and it was a little bland, though I've never tried trout before. I got the hangar steak entree and he got the chicken, both were amazing, the steak was a 10/10. Dessert was up to par with everything else, raspberry macron and chocolate Carmel mousse. Would definitely be back for a normal menu seating.

Wow, their new sugar house location is nice. They have indoor outdoor seating plus seating at the bar area. Lots of great options. Parking wasn't bad, free parking across the street at whole foods with a short walk. If you have never explored sugar house this area is very walkable. The service was pleasant the GM and one of the line cooks said hi to us when we were entering and exiting. The bathrooms were so nice I even took a picture of it. Now to the best part, the food. The brunch was awesome. Loaded coffee cake was a fun way to start along with the cheddar biscuits. Egg's Benedict were a classic and delightful. Smothered burrito was hearty and had good sauce to eggs ratio. Fried chicken and biscuits had the best presentation + the waiter poured the maple syrup on the tower of delicious. Oh the drinks... all kinds, lots of options from cocktails to mocktails and more. I've been to the park city location many times but I think this is my new favorite.

Hearth and Hill made for a great business lunch spot, especially since our group of four was seated right away without a reservation. The space feels open, elegant, and hip--perfect for a midday meeting that still feels relaxed. I started with the Brussels Sprouts appetizer, which were bright and fun thanks to the pop of pomegranate seeds, and my Birria Tacos were fantastic, especially paired with the dipping broth. Even the beans had a nostalgic flavor I couldn't quite place, which made the meal feel a little extra special. Portions were generous for the $15-$25 lunch range, and our server did an excellent job keeping drinks filled and checking in without hovering. Parking was crazy, but the fact that they validate in their building definitely helps. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend Hearth and Hill for a flavorful, well-paced lunch in a stylish setting.

While visiting Salt Lake City from out of town, we treated ourselves to a fancy dinner at Monte, a…read morerestaurant that is rumored to be angling for a Michelin star. From the description on their website about a "chef-driven" experience, I thought it would be a chef's table, but in actuality it was a pre fixe menu, as we never talked to chef Martin Babio, although our server told us about each course. Online reviews are mixed, so we were a little concerned to be the only customers on a Thursday if it really were a simultaneous seating event (another couple came in 45 minutes later). TL;DR: It was worth the money. Drinks: rose lemonade (from a bottle, but the best lemonade hubby says he's ever had), a glass of brut to celebrate the publication of my book next week, and the house still (tap) water. The "snack" (hors oeuvre) was two bites. One was the best thing hubby has ever eaten that was made out of beets (which he doesn't usually like). The other was a light green puree with trout roe that made me exclaim out loud. Then we got three kinds of bread (breadsticks, sourdough, brioche) but didn't want to fill up on it. What we didn't eat was packaged it up for breakfast and lunch the next day. The brioche was realllly good, especially with the house-made butter (even the next day--the sourdough didn't keep well). I didn't finish the take on French onion soup, because I didn't think the onions were caramelized enough; however, hubby prefers his onions less cooked and liked it. The quail ravioli came in a sauce that didn't have enough salt, but it was balanced if eaten with the pasta. Next, the "black course" was a two-bite squid ink beignet with rabbit in the center. The protein was a really excellent 3 ounces of beef with two sauces. Then came a palate cleanser that was the best tasting "green drink" we've ever had (mint, lime, cucumber, and some other things). Between that and the dessert--the silkiest chocolate tart imaginable--the dinner was worth it. The last chef's table we did (for Valentine's Day) had portions that were too large. These were just right (although I did have to take my bonus madeleine home, since I was full by that point). Staff are attentive but let you enjoy the meal. The setting is industrial with a side of woodsman-naturalist. The music was loud but fun. My only real critique is that the restaurant is located inside Beehive Distillery, so when we arrived via Google Maps, we thought we were at the wrong building, and I had to double-check the address. Otherwise, 5 stars, would do again for a fancy occasion.

They ask me: "how bad are your allergies?" I explain I can't eat mushrooms- but I do have an epi pen. I have the first drink and appetizer. They bring out the bread (which is a course on their menu). It's been an hour. They pour my second glass, but as my dish for it hasn't arrived, I don't partake of it. The waiter comes back (its now after 9 pm) and tells me they can't accommodate me due to my allergies. Can I please pay $70 for the wine tasting and leave? The wine tasting you didn't serve me? Yes, its Utah state law. I look up the law. It's not. They charge me for the two glasses they have poured - the second which I never took a sip from. They somehow changed their version of what the law is? Very disappointed. Its a good thing my hotel was still serving food. I skipped lunch to come to this place. I was really looking forward to it based on the reviews.
