Salmon with a sweet sauce - so good
    Dawn K.

We came before the dinner rush, so not busy at all. We told the staff it was our first time and they were all so nice explaining every dish, very friendly. We started with the following appetizers Devils eggs- so good with that crispy pancetta and caviar! Killer shrimp- excellent, crispy and great flavor Beet and goat salad - delish! Loved it Cauliflower- this one fell a little short, not a lot of flavor and the florets were too big. Chicken thighs- amazing, that Alabama sauce is TDF Sweet salmon - so yummy, again very good sauce We definitely want to come back to try other menu items.

Holy shit!! When I tell you I want everything on the menu, I want everything on the menu. We ordered... short rib steak, crispy chicken skins, killer shrimp, pork Belly, black rice and oxtail risotto and two drinks!! Our server was Nicky - who was awesome by the way. Food came out fresh, HOT and tasty!! These are about the very best chicken skins I have ever eaten in my life ... and I'm black! The smoked honey that's served with it was divine ... we also dipped the pork belly in it and the shrimp. Nicky brought us a new portion of honey for our steak and spicy tots!! I love when we travel and are able to experience new takes on food. This place is a plus. When in Salt Lake we will surely visit again!!

We hosted a post convention event there and they did everything perfectly! hors d'oeuvres were all delicious and service was exceptional Location is perfect for walking to from the salt palace.

A fantastic spot for inventive, flavorful food. The menu is creative, with unique twists on comfort classics that really hit the mark. Everything we tried was well-prepared and packed with flavor, and the presentation was on point. The atmosphere is lively and fun, and the staff is friendly and attentive. It can get a bit busy, which makes it feel bustling, but that's part of the charm.

Great staff and location. The establishment is roomy, clean and food was great. We came by for a corporate event and was not disappointed. Everything was great. The mains had steak and chicken. I don't know what was in the chicken but it was friggin amazing. Would come back again.

Burnt end hotdogs in BBQ sauce

Everything was so flavorful that we returned 2 days later for a quick brunch on our way out of Salt Lake City. Our son had the Mac'n Cheese twice. The burnt end hotdogs were bathed in a tasty barbecue sauce, and the rainbow cauliflower had several tastes emanating at the same time. You have to try the fried chicken skins in toasted honey. Overall a good selection and amazing tastes.

Great little place in Downtown Salt Lake. I had a flight out and decided to drop by with my boyfriend for a quick bite before the airport on a weekend in October 2024. Reservations via OpenTable made it easy but the dining room was mostly empty at 4pm anyway. We had the pick of seating and made sure we could see the football game on the TVs at the bar. Our waiter was very sweet and daresay, a bit self-degrading! At any rate, service was fast and we ordered bites to share Tapas-style from the menu which included: *Deviled Eggs *Pork Belly *Watermelon salad *Gyro Tacos There was no room left for dessert! that was about all. I loved the deviled eggs with caviar (so fancy) and the watermelon salad the best. I liked the Pork Belly but boyfriend begged to differ since he's more of an aficionado but I stick by my five-star review! The Gyro tacos hit the spot with some more protein - they were filling! I'd come back if I was in the area: I'm sure a lot of power lunches are conducted here being so close to businesses. I'm not sure about parking since we Uber'd, but there are plenty of lots around downtown.

    Black Rice & Oxtail Risotto

I wanted to give this place a try. The place itself is very pretty and has plenty of seating. Their menu is pretty limited but surprising. The black rice & oxtail risotto didn't look very appetizing, but actually it was good. I would recommend this as an appetizer. Secret Sunday chicken was also good. It was ok trying out this place; now to the next one.

BBQ chicken thighs, we cut it into smaller pieces to share

I knew from the parking lot this place was a winner. Once inside, it had a welcoming atmosphere and people inside were all having a good time. This brewery features Lager Beers crafted using traditional Bavarian/European methods...thus I had to try one...two...maybe more. Luckily there was a ton of delicious looking food on the menu from the expected pizzas and wings to the old world treats like beef stroganoff, goulash and schnitzal. Everything is made from scratch and I couldn't help looking at all the neighboring tables to get an idea of what to try. Our waitress Ashley was really helpful and checked if the pesto was made with nuts as we have peanut and tree nut allergies in our family. Luckily there were no pine nuts or other substitutes and we could safely have it! We ended up getting quite a feast of plates and then topped it off with two desserts- the bread pudding and the German chocolate cake (couldn't come to a family agreement so had to get both!). It had a fresh taste to it and even a little lemon-y, which didn't make the fried cutlet taste too rich. It came with mashed potatoes, gravy and veggies. The veggies were your basic steamed veggies, but the dish was overall good. Service was great-server was attentive and the manager came around as well to check on us. I think it would be fun to come here for Oktoberfest, since the inside has a good ambiance.

For the month of June, Gracie's is packed with night after night live music, which for us was a DJ set on the first floor when we entered. Cover fee at door was $5 each, wasn't entirely bad but after ordering our food and drinks, it felt like we got priced on everything, even for fry sauce that the waitress offered. We had the spinach & artichoke dip, the garlic burger, and Shepard's pie, as well as two cocktails - Aperol spritz and a french 75. The French 75 was served in a glass full of ice, so it didn't really taste like the traditional cocktail so we ended up ordering different drinks. The s&a dip was good, nothing special. The garlic burger was juicy and very apparently garlic. The Shepard's pie came with a roll and butter, which the butter sat on the hot plate for too long and became complete liquid. The chili oil drizzle was nice but did not add the kick in spice we were hoping for, the mashed potatoes and gravy were pleasant however the meat part of that dish tasted so dense, it was difficult to finish. With the loud DJ set on the first floor, large groups of 22 year olds on the patio, and the food and drinks being alright, I feel like the idea of Gracie's is better than some nights actually there.

I tried with Twice Cooked Pork Belly, which was really good. Pork was not dry, the shave cucumber salad was oddly addicting and added a nice flavor profile to the pork, and the garlic rice was slightly crunchy as if it was fried. Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Cubano, House Potato Chips, House Pickles…read more I'd best describe the menu as upscale pub fare. In general it is well executed, but largely familiar. The meal itself was fine, though somewhat standard and predictable. I was lucky enough to dine with someone who was willing to share, which gave me the chance to try both the Cuban and the Grilled Chicken sandwich. The grilled chicken wasn't listed on the printed menu. It appeared only on the online menu, but was being offered as the special of the day. Of the two, the Cuban was the clear winner. The flavor combination of meats and dairy fats made it hard to compare the sandwiches head-to-head. Every bite was satisfying, and the richness worked exactly as intended. The grilled chicken sandwich had its own appeal, but it felt a little busy. Between the piquillo pepper cheese and the bacon jam, there was a lot competing for attention. It was still enjoyable, just not as cohesive as the Cuban. For a side, I chose the clam chowder instead of the fries or salad. The chowder was decent, but it wasn't a dockside shack in Boston Harbor or something from a family recipe. I missed the deep, rich texture that comes from a buttery roux. It didn't seem like this batch was simmered slowly to developed flavors, it seemed to rely more heavily on flour for thickening. We also started with the pickle plate and the house-made chips. The chips were easily the favorite of the two - crisp, salty, and addictive. If you didn't act fast those disappeared quickly at our table. The pickle plate was a bit more surprising, particularly in terms of the generous portion size of beets, though it didn't leave quite the same impression with our diners as the chips. What really stood out the most about the evening wasn't the food. The real stars of the night were the staff. We made an online reservation for Saturday at 7 p.m., and everything went smoothly on that front. We arrived as the restaurant was coming off the backside of its dinner rush, and you could tell the servers had already put in a long evening. Even then, they remained upbeat and genuinely pleasant. They kept the energy positive and made us feel welcome throughout the meal. Were they perfect? No. At one point a glass broke at our table, and we ended up doing the cleanup using napkins and our bare hands. But considering the pace of the night and the fact that everyone is human, it felt like a minor hiccup rather than a major issue. The staff's professionalism and attitude throughout the evening easily outweighed that moment. We made sure they understood this on the bill. Great hospitality can elevate an otherwise ordinary meal, and that's exactly what happened here.
