My oldest kid really wanted a burger so we all decided to go here so we could enjoy a meal together. We ordered a variety of food between us and it was all excellent. We dined inside and placed our order immediately. I ordered the roast beef as a sandwich with coleslaw on the side. I also got an order of cheese curds to share with the table as everyone enjoys them. I like that this sandwich they pack in separate parts so that the bun doesn't get all soggy from the meat. You just open the bun and you can turn the little tub of meat over on it and it makes a perfect sandwich. I like it with the coleslaw because I can then add some of that right onto the sandwich and get some flavors that really work well together. Personally I have to be careful of sugars and I can't have caffeine so I avoid ice cream and soda for the most part these days. They still have fabulous root beer though. They are a little costlier than some places but the quality of food usually makes it fully worthwhile. Not just this but the one 33 minutes away at Saint Cloud are without a doubt the best dining experience this family has had in ages. We ordered our food online after the iPhone did an upgrade...that caused a mistake to occur. It told us something was only 3 miles away when it wasn't. We drive to the one in Kissimmee even though our order was at the restaurant 33 miles and a 45 minute drive away. Despite the fact that our order was complete we called and explained our mistake. The manager refunded our entire order so we could place it again at the Kissimmee location. We ended up buying over $100 worth of food including frozen custard. As fast food options go, Culver's is a step above the rest. Their menu has typical offerings of burgers and chicken fingers, but also elevated choices like pot roast and a pretty good cod sandwich. My two favorite things at Culver's, hands down, are: fried cheese curds and their house root beer. The cheese curds are similar to fried mozzarella sticks, but so, so much better. Cheese curds (the type used in poutine) are nugget shaped firm bites of cheese. When fried, they don't get melty and gooey, but rather hold their shape. This makes every bite a perfect combination of crispy hot coating and dense, not melted cheese. The root beer is...(well, how do you describe root beer?)...delicious. It tastes like expensive craft soda - that's the best way I can describe it. Best of all, Culver's has it in both diet and regular versions. As I'm closing this review, it dawned on me I didn't even mention their ice cream (custard) which is very good, and it seems like that is what they are best known for. I, however, go for the food because as good as their frozen treats are, the food equally stands up to it. Note on this location: it's on the west end (less busy, less touristy) part of 192 aka Irlo Bronson Highway. It's spotlessly clean and we are always impressed with the service for a casual counter service place. It can get busy around the times tourists are leaving Disney and looking for a quick dinner, but things move quickly there and they have a drive through. read more

I have been waiting for a long time for this Culver's to open. In fact, I may have told the manager I have been waiting 10 years. I am no new comer to the Culver's brand. I am a huge fan of their custard as well as their Ruebens, fried fish and chesse curds. So when I saw that this location finally opened, I decided it was time to pay a long awaited visit. We ordered the cheese curds, some onion rings, one scoop of chocolate custard and a double scoop Caramel cashew Sundae. The drive-thru was a little busy so upon paying we were pulled ahead to wait. This is pretty typical but the end result is fresh food. I also understand they are a newly opened location so they are still feeling their new skin. Finally one of the employees walked up to our car door with our custard and sides, ready to go. I was happy to see one of the managers smiling back at me, reading me back my order as she handed it to me and then asking me how long I had been waiting for them to open, which I jokingly told her 10 years. With this she proudly announced that we were in the lead for the longest wait. I hope her employees realize how fun their employer is and I hope she is that way with every one else! I'm so glad this gem of a chain fast food place opened nearby. Sometimes, we want something quick and unhealthy, and want make sure it's going to be guaranteed delicious, unlike the popular chains who regularly disappoint with their food and service. Just ice cream for two that is all that was on the order. It took 20 minutes of waiting in the drive thru being number 4 of ten cars waiting. When I went in they had put half the order in the well and forgot about the rest. There were at least ten people behind the counter with five of them doing the drive thru. One drive thru guy was leaning on the register and just laughing and having a good time. "Everyone makes mistakes" is what I was told but forgetting about your customers is more than a mistake it's a problem of how you do business. I just moved to the area and stumbled upon Culver's while hunting for lunch. How good is Culver's? Good enough that my bank called me to confirm if the number of transactions done during the span of the long weekend were really me. I told them it was me as I stuffed another jumbo shrimp while balancing a deluxe double on one hand and a cole slaw on the other. Holy wisconsin cheese, where has this franchise been all my life? This is the best fast food burger in town. The meat is grilled to perfection and it actually has flavor. I love the occasional crunchy bit on the meat from the grill. The american cheese is so creamy. All is perfectly sandwiched between buttery buns. During my first visit, I tried the deluxe classic single. The meat is so delicious that I switched to a double in the next visits. During my labor day weekend adventure, I also tried the jumbo shrimp; perfectly fried shrimp that is not greasy or "bready". The cocktail sauce was nice as well. The coleslaw is the right sweetness and fresh, it does not feel like I'm eating a blob of mayonnaise. The pretzel bites with a side of cheese sauce were the bomb. The dough is outstanding and the cheese superb. During one of the visits, we decided to dine in. The place was spotless clean and adjacent tables were marked off for social distance. Culver's is a fast food chain from the Midwest. I just tried it for the first time last year and since they've built this one I've been by a few times. I LOVE the cheese curds. They are amazing. I've been missing these in my life. I wish the small cheese curd was a bit smaller. It is still enough for me to share with someone else. I wish I could get them instead of fries with a combo. The cheese curds are my favorite thing here. The butter burgers are also quite delicious. They are made fresh to order. If you go through the drive through they will have you pull into a parking space while they make your food fresh for you. The bun is soft and buttery. The burger is not too thin, but not too thick and even though I always order my burger special, they've always gotten it right. Finally, you have to talk about the custard. It is really yummy too. Custard is made with eggs so it is creamier than your typical ice cream. I love the shakes and sundaes. Peanut butter is my favorite. The only thing I don't like here are the fries. They are standard crinkle cut like you would get at Sonny's or Zaxby's (where I also don't care for them). My mother can make better crinkle cut fries at home. So, I wouldn't waste your time on the fries, but everything else I've had here is well above average, especially if you are looking for something quick and convenient. read more

There are some places where you need more than 5 stars and this is one of them! I'm originally from Wisconsin and Culver's is a regular option when trying to decide where to eat! They are known for their butterburgers and custard, which is like ice cream but better and smoother. They also serve a Wisconsin staple deep fried Cheese Curds. I visited this location because I was staying at a resort nearby. So sad they don't have one in Jacksonville, yet. They have an extensive menu including different meal choices, dessert options, kids menu and a flavor of the day. You can also purchase their custard in quart size containers! I love that they have a snack pack option that consists of a certain sandwhich, small fry and small soda all for under $5.00. This is a great choice if you are on a budget. You'll have to go back again and again in order to try all the yummy items on the menu. Be sure to try their root beer, they make their own! read more

The burger and fries were nice and hot and tasted good, but the tea was weak. For dessert got a concrete mix with vanilla custard, peanut butter sauce, hot fudge and marshmallow cream....wow...that hit the spot (actually probably settle on both love handles but I don't care because it tasted great:) so a .5 star added. Service: 5 stars- Walked in with cashier (Stephen) warmly welcoming me. He was very courteous, professional and personable. When I went back to order dessert, he still had that "can I help you" attitude. My wife decided to get the flavor of the day and she didn't care for it. She took it back and Stephen was very apologetic and asked what she would like to have instead. He also personally brought it out and made sure it was right. Stephen should be cloned or at least be a customer service trainer- a big guy with a big heart. In addition, other team members who were bringing food around were also cordial and cleaning the place up as needed. Environment- 3.5 stars- Nice location with plenty of parking. Bathrooms and eating areas were clean. Basic restaurant that is a bit hard to get into when traveling west due to traffic. read more

5 stars for a fast food chain restaurant??...seems unlikely. However, there really is NO fault with this specific location on 192. I've had nothing but great experiences (plus they're open til 11pm which is nice...most close at 10pm). Disney people know EXACTLY what I'm talkin about. While sitting down waiting for your delicious order to arrive you'll notice a very clean restaurant, good classic rock music typically playing, and just an overall welcoming atmosphere. Came here specifically for their custard. I was recommended to get their blizzard-like custard mix so I did. It is basically a build your own sundae kind of place, but when compared to other restaurants like McDonald's or Dairy Queen, this place doesn't quite match up. Ice cream gets very melty very quickly. I got the brownie and salted caramel one, and the brownies don't taste fresh at all. I ended up not eating them. As far as the other food, I cannot say whether that is good, but I would like to note that this is a fast food restaurant with a demeanor similar to a Wendy's. Had a similar experience to Krystal G. and I'm one and done with Culvers. Had heard good things, but the #1 reason to go here wasn't good, so bleh: The burgers. The meat is thin like you'd expect at McDonald's and the cheese is thick. Guess what happens when you put a think piece of cheese between thin patties? Room temperature burger. Both my wife's and mine were that way. I just ate mine, but my wife brought hers back to get a hot one. After waiting 10 minutes, my wife went back up and sure enough, they'd completely forgotten about remaking her burger. They did so kind of quickly and... it was the same luke-warm temperature as before. I guess that's just how this place rolls. The fries and onion rings were good, but not really different I can get anywhere else. The custard was good, but not good enough to steer me back. I liked culvers when i lived in the midwest but it seems that they opted to go south when they expanded to the South. The meat was dry and rubber/styrofoam tasting. They gladly changed my burger to get me a super greasy version that had grease dripping all over the place. The onion rings were obviously made hours earlier and left waiting under a heating lamp somewhere until they became dry and stale. No this is not what is expected from the awRd winning chain that we loved in MN and WI. It maybe time to look for and try other burger chains that maintain a decent standard. read more

I am Continuously underwhelmed by this Culver's. Today I ordered a single Swiss ButterBurger with Bacon added and it was extremely disappointing. While my fries were piping hot and fresh, my burger was barely lukewarm. It's always a telltale sign when the cheese on the burger isn't even melted. It was also dry even though I asked for mayonnaise to be added. The burger itself was also incredibly flat as if someone had smashed it. Overall, my burger looked unappealing and looked as though it had been sitting around or even given to someone else then handed to me. My food arrived very quickly after ordering, but I'd rather have quality then quickness any day. This is not the first time I've had bad food at this Culver's. Maybe fries and shakes are the best thing on the menu for a reason. I think I am one more bad order away from washing my hands of this place. read more

Culver's is pretty good but I am a pescatarian so I'm only able to eat so much from here. This specific restaurant was pretty clean, and the employees were really nice. I got a shrimp basket and sub'ed the drink for a mixer and my meal ended up being $14 for just myself. I'm not too sure why (I didn't see the receipt) so just be cautious with up charges. Overall, good place and fresh food. Update: today my family went here to grab dinner. Every order was messed up. There were 4 sandwiches and 4 drinks. One burger was supposed to be no cheese, they added cheese and also put way too much mayo. One of the burgers tasted like it had been sitting in the window for too long. There were 3 different sweet teas and one was supposed to be with lemonade. All the teas were unsweet and the tea lemonade ended up being straight lemonade. I doubt we will be coming back. read more
