Quick take out on our way through Knoxville. Not great but not bad. Culver Bacon hamburger one was right one was not as it had no bacon. The one that did was meager. The service here is superb. When the food was brought out, the server noticed I haven't filled my drink up yet. She then insisted that she go fill it up with what I wanted. She would not take No for an answer. She also picked up napkins and brought ketchup for the fries. The food itself never lets me down. First let me say I love the food here. Custard is great, crinkle fries great. What gets only 3 stars is the horrible drive thru experience. Admittedly one of my first experiences was after they first opened. Understandable working out the bugs. However months later still possibly the slowest drive thru in Knoxville. My last experience the poor teeny bopper drive thru runner had to go back 3 times to get my single scoop of custard on a cone right. Thankfully the rest of the order was correct but c'mon Culvers you've had time to work the bugs out. We sat in a curbside pick up spot for over an hour just to have to go inside to get anyways. Don't advertise as curbside if your employees can not manage to bring the food out to the cars not only did we have to go in to get our food the car there before us did as well. Then the car who came an hour after us got their food first. Worst service ever great food but they need to reconsider their employees obviously they aren't capable of working there. read more

Delicious! This was my first time at Culver's. It's a chain -- had no idea. This was the first time I had seen one. It was like a Local Burger Joint/Sonic/Chick-Fil-A. It had wonderful service like Chick-fil-A, their burgers were a similar style to Sonic, and I threw in local burger chain because the beef had a story (it came from framers in the Midwest). I was so excited when I saw a Culver's was opening up in Knoxville. My only disappointment is that it is on the West side of town. We went opening weekend and the lines were super long but the staff handled them like champs. The food came out quickly for the amount of people inside and in the drive-thru. It was cooked great and was warm. I had the cheese curds for the first time and LOVE them. The place was also clean when you consider how many people were coming and going. The parking lot was even being organized by a few employees to help keep things orderly. I will be back but would love if they could open a location on the East side of town. read more

Went to Culver's for the first time today! I had s great experience! Loved the burger i had. The cheese curds were not too impressive to me, but still tasty! However, the burger was a top notch fast food burger! I look forward to visiting again and having their custard! I was excited to see that they even had carry out pints of their custard! First time at Culver's. We were very impressed. The burgers were cooked perfectly on the flat top...a nice sear on the fresh, never frozen beef. The onion rings were crunchy and delicious. The ice cream (custard) was wonderful--double strawberry was the flavor of the day. Their own root beer was creamy and smooth. Even the sugar free root beer was awesome! Very good burgers, onion rings, chili. Fries are OK as is the pork chop sandwich Fried cheese curds ( a Wisconsin thing) are just OK...not really a fan. Service is surprisingly fast considering the number of customers stacked up to order. It's always a surprise to me that, even though they give you a large number to place on the table, the servers seem not to be able to match the order # with table number... they almost appear to walk around until they see a number on a table then ask if that's what you order...weird . Only real issue that I've noticed is that the tea runs out and they are very slow to refill the containers; you'd think they should have a spare container on hand rather than having to wait for one to brew- which is a slow process. Culver's is amazing !! It's not necessarily cheap but it's not expensive either. I would consider it a splurge place. I don't go that often but I absolutely adore their chicken tenders. They're unbeatable! I'm yet to try anything else on the menu because they're so good haha. However, I have bought a salad there before for somebody else and was told that it was not good but other than that, I've not had any problems :) 10/10 I would totally recommend coming here! read more

The food is extremely bland. I ordered the 2-piece cod meal with green beans and mashed potatoes. The cod was over battered & bland. The mashed potatoes were worse than instant box potatoes...seemed as though they were reheated from frozen. The green beans were rubbery. The roll was ice cold. The milkshake did not taste like a real milk milkshake...had an artificial aftertaste. My friend sent his burger meal back which prompted the manager to come speak with us. She was sweet and I informed her of the problems with our meals. Ultimately nothing could be done because our issues were with the taste of the food and it's obvious that they don't have much control over that. read more

Goodness, I just finished a butter burger and fries and I am one happy person. I love Culvers, although I haven't strayed from the burgers and fries because I love them so much, the other meals look really good as well. I used to eat at Culvers when I had to travel to MI for work and fell in love. I was over the moon when I found out we were getting one in Knoxville, but wondering if I'd love it as much since it is now readily available? Well I do love it as much! The employees are great, they do it with a smile and work so hard. I did the drive thru today and while the line looked long, it actually moved fairly quick. I appreciate that you are handed your drink when you pay at the window because it's a hot day today and I was thirsty! They have the crinkle fries and I'm one who loves those! I had to fight from eating them in the car but I waited. I will definitely be back. This was their first day open and they were super busy...There was 10 cars ahead of me in the,drive thru but I still got my food in 10 minutes including the time to get to order. Excellent burger and fries. Everything fresh and hot. This is a welcome change from the garbage McDonald's and burger king has been serving. I can't wait to try the frozen custard. read more

Expensive and Disgusting. To start off with the line was long which isn't a big deal then when I got my food the cheese custards where bland but not bad the fries where pretty good but the burger was awful I got a double bacon cheeseburger and the cheese was rubbery you couldn't taste the bacon the lettuce was nasty and the patties where chewy I usually like any kind of food but immediately after eating me and my girlfriend both felt very sick and I paid $20 for two burgers and a very small serving of fries would not recommend we are never going back read more

Had a Butterburger Deluxe with mustard instead of mayo. Excellent! Reminded me of a Whataburger, which has always been my favorite. With no Whataburger in town, Culver's is my new local favorite. The frozen custard was also creamy and delicious. read more

I'm going to begin this review where my experience with Culver's began, the drive-through. I can forgive some of my initial frustrations due to the fact that my first time here was soon after they opened, which means that they were very busy. There was no sense whatsoever with the drive-through but more specifically the people in it. The drive-through is a single lane, yet people were feeding into it from multiple ways which of course led to audible frustrations. The food was fine, better than most fast food places in the area and I thought the custard was great. There is a sizeable menu here complete with daily availability items and if you are in the mood for not the same old fast food, it's definitely worth a try. read more

I'd rate Culver's a 3.5 out of 5 if it was an option. Their burgers are good and consistently hot and fresh. Be aware that they are the greasiest fast food burgers I can think of. Buns are a little dry, but lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle are of higher quality than most fast food restaurants. I haven't yet tried the custards, which seem to be a favorite item for many, but I did get the strawberry smoothie which was extremely thick and delicious. Their crinkle fries are pretty good when hot and fresh, though I prefer traditional, waffle, or curly fries all over the crinkle. Cheese curds here are fantastic and make a great snack! read more

I heard a lot of good things. I must have heard wrong or maybe the love is all for the ice cream and shakes. My burger was not anything special at Ll and while the crinkle fries were not bad, anyone can pour from a bag of frozen fries and set a timer. I love Culver's! The first time I ever went was in Florida, where I was amazed by a place that offered both gluten free buns and frozen custard. I have gone twice now to this newest location - often driving out of my way just for it! I am partial to the Mushroom and Swiss burger, which I get on a gluten free bun. I'm always so pleased with the service I'm provided! They specify at the drive thru whether I'm working with an allergy or not and I receive my food separately packaged and distinctly marked as gluten free. The bun is so good and fluffy for having no gluten. I don't mind the wait because the food is prepared fresh for you and the extra effort is so special to me. I am so thankful for this place! I can't wait for my next trip. read more

In the interest of full disclosure, let me begin by admitting that we are avid fans of Mooyah and--most especially--Shake Shack (of which we have none here in East Tennessee...yet). We've been hearing about this Culver's place for months and decided to give it a try on our next errands jaunt to Knoxville. The building is very clean and aesthetically appealing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We ordered three burgers, a grilled cheese, fries, onion rings, a concrete, and a custard. The burgers are better than BK or McD's for sure; and the "buttered bun" added a more unique flavor to the burgers....but this wasn't enough to really impress us. The meat itself was rather tasteless, largely depending on that butter and whatever toppings for flavor. The fries...I enjoy good crinkle fries, but these were not good. If anything, they were nondescript, and tasted mostly like the oil they were fried in. The onions rings (as I'm told by the rest of my party) were tasty and had a nice breaded coating. The kid's grilled cheese was also nondescript, and our hungry child was so disappointed in it that they didn't want to finish it. After eating the sandwiches and fried sides, we decided that we really never felt the need to ever return to a Culver's. And then we got our concrete and kid's scoop of custard--these were the highlight and only memorable part of our meal. Both our chocolate-peanut butter-brownie concrete and chocolate-covered strawberry custard tasted of fresh flavors and ingredients. Even the brownie tasted fresh and yummy (which doesn't often happen with mix-in ingredients like that). We determined that if we were in Knoxville running errands and wanted a sweet snack, we just might pop into the Culver's drive-thru for a concrete or custard. But we will skip the rest of the menu; other burger places (like the ones mentioned above) do those items so much better. read more

Their food is pretty consistent. However, they are also consistent at not understanding on how to redeem the one scoop coupon. Every time I go through drive-through, I order two kids meals. I tell them I have additional one scoop coupons from previous meals to redeem two scoops of ice cream. When I get the meals and ice cream, the bags have the one scoop torn off after I've already paid and given them the previously torn free scoop tickets I've saved. So I've been losing out the past three times. Wish they would get it together. read more
