Was in the mood for a burger and happened upon Culver's. Not familiar with this chain but heard it's worth trying. Culver's has both burger as well as seafood. We stopped by on. Saturday evening and the drive thru was packed so we decided to eat in. Restaurant was very clean and full of patrons. We decided on our order and found seating with the Blues hockey game on . Our order took a few minutes and when delivered to us we were pleasantly surprised with the servings. Culver's does also have fresh custard and was offered a sample of the flavor of the day. I will say it's pretty good and can easily complete with local custard places. Overall, had a great time at Culver's. It's a nice change from the traditional fast food and will be back to try their fish sandwiches. They were very popular when we were there. read more

It's fast food, but they do it well. I meet my mom here for lunch sometimes and we've had positive experiences. I like the double buttercheeseburger small combo with fries and a drink. I like that you can add toppings like lettuce and onion for no charge. In my experiences the food has been hot and fresh and cooked to order. Fries are crispy and their burger is always delish. It's a bit greasy but that's how I like it lol. Service is good compared to many places, average overall. Sometimes you have to wait to place your order, but not too long. Tables are usually clean and restrooms are clean. For fast food, I highly recommend. Deducted 1 star because pricing has gotten so high. Food: Good, better than you might expect for a 'chain' restaurant. Good selection and fair prices are even better if you use a coupon from a local circular publication. Service is excellent. Food is promptly delivered to your table and it is at the perfect temperature. Ambiance. Try to avoid between the afternoon hours of 3:00PM and 6:00PM. School teens and large (numbers of people, not large people) families with small children of all ages are prevalent. However I was disappointed in the portion size of the walleye. There were more French fries than the fish. Also with this dinner, a beverage is not included. The service and management were terrible. We were told they were having some issues and that food would take about 45 minutes -- we were understanding and agreed to wait. However, it ended up taking an hour and a half. Customers who arrived 45 minutes after us got their food, ate, and left before we even received ours. When our food finally came, it was wrong. We have eaten here more times than I can count, but the last few times service has been unusually slow. Tonight was the last time we will visit this location. It was obvious that they were busy, but it was also obvious that many of the employees up front needed some direction. It took 20 minutes to get our order, and my husband's sandwich was wrong (it was rung up incorrectly), so they had to remake it. 20 minutes later we still hadn't received it. I had to go up, ask, and then wait longer. The front area was crowded with people waiting on their food and for food to be remade. The drive thru was wrapped around the building. It was a Thursday evening, but I have never seen the place in that much chaos. We finally got the remade sandwich and took it home as I was done eating and my husband was just done. I don't know what happened, but it needs to be fixed. A remade order should NEVER go to the bottom of the queue, but that is what was happening for a lot of people. It may be a while before we visit Culver's again, and we definitely will not be visiting this one. This is very disappointing as we have been loyal customers here for years. read more

When Culver's first came to town it seemed to me to be a dressed up version of Dairy Queen with more menu items, comfort entrees, and more combos. But, it was still a fast food restaurant--albeit one where the food was brought to your table. Oh wait. The last time I was at Dairy Queen someone brought my meal to the table. Today at Culver's noticed two large tip jars front and center on the order counter. Labels boasted "We appreciate tips." And they were each about half full--not with change but ones and fives. So now we're tipping for fast food? Tipping wouldn't have made my fried and battered cod any less bland, the roll any less mundane, the mashed potatoes any more interesting, or added ANY seasoning--for crying out loud--to the steamed broccoli. And, when I asked for condiments I was directed to the counter. My son loves their food, but this location makes mistakes every time we go. Literally, every time. Most often the problem is with making the mixers wrong, but wrong sandwiches and missing items often occurs as well. Last night it was a mixer that did not have cherries mixed in at all, just a lone cherry on top. Tonight my son order two large mixers and they handed him mediums. He told them he ordered larges and they remade his mixers, with barely any of the items mixed in. His sandwich was wrong as well. He didn't say anything since they gave him a double instead of a single. We've asked for chocolate mixers and received vanilla. Even eating inside we have had to point out we were missing items we paid for. When it averages $25-$30 for two people at this place, constant errors are not acceptable. I cannot remember the last time we had an order go right without having to ask for corrections. They overcharge on sales tax. They hit me for 9.0% on 10/2/19. I called the City of OFallon and was told their total rate is 8.845%. That's called stealing from the customer. I will start this review with the fact that Culver's is one of my favorite fast food restaurants. As someone who has to be gluten free because of a wheat allergy, I love that their buns come individually packaged so you know they are safe. Except with this location, I have had nothing but problems with them putting my food on the gluten free bun making it harder to verify if the bun was handled properly and they constantly get our orders wrong in general. This last time when I went into get part of our order that wasn't in the bag and to verify that the bun was gluten free, I was met with attitude that the bun was gluten free and an eye roll about getting our missing food. The website/app specifically states that the bun will come packaged separately so it's really disappointing to see this location not follow their own guidelines ensuring safe food practices for those of us with allergies they are willing to help. read more
