Let the record show, I love the Culver's chain. But this trip was simply "meh". We stopped here on the way to St. Louis, because it's not something we have in Southern Illinois, but is something we all love. This place was absolutely slammed. The drive thru was loaded, so we went inside and were met with a line that wandered back into the dining area. The line moved pretty fast, which was unexpected. But once we got our numbers, the wait was suuuuper long. The girl with the biggest order in our group of four's came out immediately, and the one who just ordered a shake came out like 20 minutes later. It just seemed to be a hot mess all around. The cheese curds were delicious, but the concrete mixer wasn't right. It was supposed to be turtle cheesecake. I didn't get one cheesecake piece, and there was so much caramel in it I couldn't even taste the custard. It's better than no Culver's, but it's definitely not the best location. read more

I had never been to a Culver's before and my sister in law was talking about how good it is. It is very good. The custard was so yummy. We got the oreo peppermint candy cane which was the flavor of the day and boy was it awesome. We also tried the buffalo tenders which were pretty good too. If only the DC area had Culver's....then again maybe it is good they don't...my waistline will be much happier that way! read more

Sometimes you're in the mood for a really good burger. Culver's butter burgers are among the best. This place does two things really, really well... burgers and ice cream. I'm never disappointed in either when I stop in. Also noteworthy is the cleanliness of the store. They have a drive thru but it's not exactly fast food...and that's ok. They ave a bigger than normal chain menu and the ice cream and shakes selection is great. Your food will be made to order and that will mean a few minutes waiting even in the drive thru in which you will be given a table number for your vehicle as you pull around the drive lane waiting for your food to be delivered by hand. The food is alwasy very good and really hot since it's made at time of purchase and sitting under heat lamps so give it a try, you'll like it...I think you will...I'm sure you will...but I don't even know you so, what do I know? The food has always been very good at this location, but the custard's quality seems to have slipped a lot since our last visit. I had a hot fudge sundae and my wife had a small Heath bar concrete. The first thing we noticed was that both items were a little runny. The second thing we noticed was the unmistakable crunch of ice crystals. The custard was more the consistency of Dairy Queen soft serve. There was no one that appeared to be running the store, so there was no one to whom to call attention. Is this a money-saving measure or was it just a bad day making custard? Don't know for sure but we'll wait a while before returning to dine at this location. read more

Growing up in Wisconsin, Culver's was a staple in my life since I was but a wee lad. When they started opening up in St. Louis, I was ecstatic! I used to work out in O'Fallon, so I frequented this Culver's almost weekly for about 3 years. I guess I have to classify this place as a fast food restaurant, but it's an **upscale** fast food restaurant, in the same category as Steak n' Shake, only better. They actually bring the food out to you after you order at the counter, which is nice. Butter Burgers! I love they way they melt in your mouth. There is something about the Wisconsin Cheese on these burgers that make them just a little better than your average cheeseburger. And the fries are AWESOME..way better than rival Steak n' Shake. I will say this place is a little on the greasy side, but everything tastes oh so goood! Some other items on the menu that are known to be my favorite are the fried chicken, the pot roast sandwich, and the chicken sandwiches. The chili at Culver's is soooo good! It is a great winter time meal to pair with a butter burger. They always have specials that are really hearty. My favorite part of Culver's is the custard. Always fresh, and always good. They make the best milkshakes in town. Culver's holds a special place in my heart, and I hope after reading this review it will hold a special place in your belly!! read more

This is not my favorite Culvers. The redone inside is nice, but the floors held condensation and were constantly slick. The food is good. I don't know why Culvers only puts one soda station in. That is were the hold `up is. I trying the banana peanut butter chocolate flavor of the day. It did not have much banana flavor or chocolate for that matter. It did have plenty of peanuts. On 3/4/16 I waited for 45 minutes to get my order and the fish was darn near burnt. Will never go to this place again. Saw customers getting refunds back because of the wait. There were 5 cooks in the kitchen and only 1 was working. read more

I'd seen Culver's elsewhere in my travels but never actually thought to stop at one until a recent visit to the area. My wife and I decided it would be a good spot to get a quick bite for a Saturday afternoon and it was a good call. Staff at the counter was on it, got our orders down pretty quick and we sat down and waited. Shortly after, our bacon cheeseburgers came - hers with onion rings and mine with cheese curds. Won't mind telling you that I think I got the better end of that deal... After the meal we decided to get some custard, and while I had figured out what I wanted, my wife was a bit indecisive. Once more, the person at the front counter came to the rescue and suggested a few of his personal favorites and we put in our orders once more. And again, nothing but pleased. We're fans of Culver's now and look forward to visiting this one again and others in the future! read more

Normally I would give this place 5* but not this visit. I am eating healthy and losing weight but my kids love this place, so before going I check the website to see what they have that's healthy. I normally get the burgers so I have no idea what they have that's healthy. I decided on a Garden Fresco with Chicken Salad and Sesame Ginger dressing. I get there just to find out they no longer sell sesame ginger dressing and what they do sell is not healthy or sound very good. So I got nothing and went else where to eat. These businesses want websites but don't want to update them or maintain them just ticks me off! read more

Traveling from Colorado to Florida we stopped at Culver's in O'Fallon, IL for dinner at 6 p.m.. The dining area is closed due to Covid (which I appreciate) so there was a line of cars at the drive-thru window that reached around the building but we noted that they were stopping and moving forward at a pretty good pace. There is a nice outdoor patio that was empty so we parked, masked up and went in to order. I noticed a whole lot of employees busy doing their jobs, everyone moving swiftly and efficiently to get the orders out. The young woman who took our order was polite but maybe fairly new. We placed our orders and she offered to make them "basket" orders which gave us a better price. She got stuck on something in the register so asked a young man nearby to help. His name is Rob and he knew exactly how to talk her through it and did so with quiet patience and kindness. He then moved on to the next thing that required his attention and I noticed he was keeping an eye on the way everything was going. Our order was ready in perfectly fast-food time and we took it to the outdoor patio. I discovered that we had two orders of fries instead of the one order of fries and one onion ring so I walked back in, stood off to the side at the register (there were several people in line ordering) but was spotted immediately by a young man who noticed I'd walked back in with my bag in hand. They did not let me wait there in a line until the rest of my food was cold but addressed it immediately. He turned to remedy the mix-up when Rob was right there to assure him to bag up the order of onion rings that was waiting under the lamps and give it to me so I could eat my whole meal together while still hot. At the same time Rob nicely requested the cooks to put in another order of rings to replace the one he took for me. Our food was well made, tasted fresh and hot like we expected and while we ate on the patio we noticed how quickly the line of cars kept moving up and around, awaiting their orders to be brought out and how diligently the employees were working to get their orders out to them. When we finished I returned inside to order a sundae to go. One girl took the order, another filled it immediately and SHE carried it around the register and handed it directly to me, rather than making it and setting it on a counter to wait for someone else to pick it up and bring it to the register. How many times I have watched my food get bagged up at other restaurants only to sit on the counter until I ask someone to retrieve it for me. In fact, I was surprised that the girl who made the sundae even knew who it was for. The whole team is on their toes here. Before I left I noticed the young man who had been overseeing things when we first arrived was near the door. I asked if he was a manager. He said no, but that he was the Shift Leader. I told him he should be a manager and that I hope some day he will be. I asked his name: Rob B. and promised I would write a review for him as soon as I returned home. Rob is an asset to Culvers and I hope he is appreciated both monetarily and in other ways. He will surely be an appreciated employee wherever he goes. P.S. Night out with family was ruined by the poor service here. They forget your order, serve others after you, and give an artificial apology for lack of effort. I haven't been to a culvers in a long time, but the service is still friendly and the food's still good. Since it's cooked to order, it does take longer than the microwave fast food places. I've always liked the thick crinkle-cut fries. Their root beer's good but too sweet. I was really happy to find that their website has great allergen information, so I found out the pot roast sandwich is one of the few things that's dairy-free - AND it's delicious! We love their butter burgers and cheese curds! I am sure they are totally unhealthy but they are amazing! The service at this culver's is outstanding and they are always very polite. The drive thru line always seems a bit slow (we are always asked to pull forward and wait) but they are always kind and you can tell they are working hard to get you your order. We find it goes faster if you go in and order but either way it is worth it because the food is great. Recommend the bacon burger with cheese curds and an oreo shake. read more

Pros: The rating would be a solid four or five based on the food alone. We ordered two different kinds of burgers, two orders of fries and two soft drinks through the drive-thru on a recent trip. The food was good and hot and up to the standards we have come to expect from Culver's. Cons: The service of the staff would have been one star at best. The order taker would not answer whether or not we could order a single burger the first two times she was asked and rang up a double. When we asked her the third time she said that we could but had to be asked to change what she had rang up. When we got to the window she took our money and thrust a plastic table top number tent at us and appeared to be done with us. We asked her what that was for and she said to "stick it somewhere like on our window or hold it" and that we needed to pull up and someone would bring us our order. We asked if we could also please have plenty of salt and ketchup and she said that it comes in the bag. We pulled up to wait and when the order came out to the car there was no ketchup or salt. The purpose of the drive-thru was defeated because I had to get out of the car and go inside to get ketchup and salt that I had already asked for and been promised. There were two or three different workers up front and one customer but no one offered to help me. The impression I had of the order taker was that she was young, only thought she got paid to "show up", and was more interested in her fingernails than in her customers. I really like this Culver's. The food is fresh and tasty. Not all that healthy, but thats not the point. The burgers are delicious, and the cheese curds are to die for. The frozen custard is a must have. Remember to ask what the daily custard flavor is or you might miss out on something really good like their pumpkin pie seasonal. Stopped here today for a quick concrete to cool off on this hot Mother's Day. Parking was easy. One way in and out. Kid decided she NEEDED a corn dog so we got the kids meal with fries and a soda plus a token for 1 scoop of oce cream. I was pretty shocked that the kids meal was over $5. Kid liked her meal and afterwards we went up to redeem the ice cream token. She got chocolate and they added kit Kat for free. Considering the price of the concretes, this turned out to be a better deal then I originally thought. They're doing major renovations and the patio and half the dining room was closed. But it still never felt too crowded and the food came out pretty quickly. Fries were hot, nice little cups for the ketchup. They bring your food to you which is nice. We also saw employees come and clean off the tables several times in the short time we were there so I'm confident that this helped keep the crowd moving. All in all, great experience. A little pricey but it's close, clean, and the custard concrete was good. We will be back! read more

stopped in for some custard after dinner with my wife and granddaughter. Talk about piss poor attitudes. Not by the entire staff but by one of the individuals supposedly there to help paying customers. I asked that the chocolate cone for my granddaughter be prepared so she wouldn't have to wait until our order was ready. It was like asking for the world. It was a simple request but the young lady would not make eye contact with me nor even acknowledge me when handing me the cone nor saying you're welcome after I said thank you. The young lady needs to find another job if she isn't happy or a complete 30 second tune-up in adjusting her attitude. Totally unacceptable customer service. read more

Stopped here for lunch while traveling. My first time at a Culver's, and I thought it was really good, for fast food hamburgers. Fresh and tasty burgers, fries were hot and crunchy. I had a taste of the kid's custards and they were yummy too. I see some of the other review complaining about the staff, but this day, everything was moving fine, and I even commented on the age of some of the staff (older!). So it was a good visit, and I'd love to see a Culver's in my area someday. read more
