I stopped there on my way back to San Diego. Was really excited to try Culvers cause we dont have them in my city. I really wanted yo try the cheese curds witch were delicious. Then I got the double deluxe berger. The girl ringing me up made me feel pretty stupid. Then I got the food went back to my hotel room ate the food witch was pretty good and an hour later was very sick. Im not going to get into details but it was not pretty. Visiting Culver's in Saint George makes my Midwestern heart sing. It's like a little taste of home tucked into the desert, a mere two hours away from my new home. If I lived in Saint George, I have no doubt that I'd be here at least once a week. But alas. My typical order (unchanged from my high school, Illinois living days) is an order of cheese curds and a strawberry milkshake. They do both perfectly. I decline the offer of dipping sauce for the curds, as I like the joyfully cheesy flavor to shine on its own. Stopped by here on our way from Vegas to Zion because you we had heard all about it wanted to give it a shot and ended up being VERY happy we did! The location itself was very clean and the staff was very welcoming. We both stared at the menu upon entering just agape with the options. Luckily one of the staff members took pity on us and explained all of their offerings. After combing the menu we decided on a triple butter burger meal and of course some frozen custard. Went there last night worst experience ever. We ordered our meals and they were brought out. Chicken quesadilla was dry and old tasting, Santa Fe grilled chicken salad was wilted and the chicken was cooked before the civil war. My granddaughter ordered Texas Fries they were soggy and the bacon was cooked with the chicken . No condiments on the table had to ask for everything. Restaurants windows were dirty as were the grounds. We swore we would not go back after our last visit when we were carded but my granddaughters wanted to go. We are on our 70's and we're carded. This location is small and doesn't have a terribly big parking lot, so visiting is tough during the lunch rush, but, the folks who work here try very hard and are quite friendly. It feels like you're in Wisconsin and they have decent burgers and sides, however the chocolate malt tasted like chalk and was less then desirable. Most people consume custard here, so it's not one of their featured products, but I'd have expected the malts to taste better. I think this place gets slammed with the drive through and dining room both getting busy and the key is probably not visiting then. Some construction is occurring outside by the parking lot, but it's not clear if it'll be another business or an expanded parking lot. The overall success of the chain is evident in it's lunch time popularity. The only other chain you'll have such friendly and warm folks helping you consistently is Chick-fil-a. They use cheese from Wisconsin in their food and it shows in the taste. I wasn't excited that there want sanitizer and noting was touch-less. After visiting Kolob canyon Zion park, my family and I love stopping here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon in October. Due to pandemic, their hours changed to 10am instead of 9am. Long line inside to order food since only one cashier. The menu has cheese curds, burgers, fries, custard ice cream. The cashier was nice and helpful. I ordered single cheese butterball burger combo with drink. After ordering, the cashier assigned us a booth. Everyone was sitting at every other booth. The crinkle fries was cooked just right. Most complied while others carelessly shunned others safety. Everyone ordered Butter burgers in our group with varied sides which were all crispy fried goodness including fries, onion rings and my favorite cheese curds. If your hungry I would recommend a double burger patty or more because the single left me craving more. What can I say I'm built of sturdy stock. Great food from a company that is taking the pandemic seriously. After getting food from another St. George restaurant (Wing Nutz) that abjectly disregards reality and the health of its customers, I almost abandoned the opportunity to to get Culver's because I assumed that all local restaurants were afraid of offending the Anti-Mask Plague Rats. After reading reviews, I gave them a shot via the drive through. There was a mixup between the words "peach" and "Heath". When I went inside to get my concrete replaced, I was pleased to see that Culver's has the best social distancing of any restaurant I've seen. They assign tables and walk you to them. I'm sure this blatant concern for the health and safety of their staff and customers does NOT go over well with the "BuuuuTttt maaaHHHH FreeDumBs" slack jawed yokels, but the Smart People commend their commitment to public health. This location is by far the best in the area. I have always enjoyed my food and how quickly they get it to me. I noticed their prices are more competitive than other Culver's up north and they are more consistent with their results. Any time I am in St George I make sure to visit this location as the parking is great for trailers and the staff is super friendly. I have never visited a Culver's before, but have heard quite a bit about the cult following in other locations. We happened by around lunch time and decided to brave the crowds. You enter the restaurant and order at the counter and they give you a number to find a table and wait for your food to be delivered. The staff was not overly friendly but was efficient. I ordered the Reuben Sandwich. It came on rye bread that had been toasted and was a bit oily for my taste. The corned beef had good flavor and the size of the sandwich was plenty big, but not too big. I just ordered a water, but my husband got a combo with is meal which came with fries and a drink. I guess I still don't understand the hype. I would probably return again, but would not battle any crowds to get in. read more
