So my bf is from Wisconsin where Culver's is super popular, but we both live in Henderson, NV so the closest Culver's is this one in St. George. We get Culver's every time we visit the Midwest, so we just had to stop here! Get the cheese curds and dip them in the fry sauce, SO GOOD. Burgers are good as well as the custard. I'm giving it a 4 out of 5 because my family and I felt that there were too many people inside and the line wasn't spaced enough between customers. Recently heard from others that the reason employees are so bad is because they are mistreated by the owner as he has no management skills. Other than the nice old lady taking food around, the staff look unhappy. I've been in twice so far when they told me my face was to ugly for people to eat around and refused me service and told me to leave. I waited 15 minutes in line to eat. One time the manager actually saw that it was me after order and told them to stop my order. She said the franchise owner couldn't stand seeing people with my faces skin colour in her restaurant. Recently did a road trip to Lake Powell and we happened to stop here both on our way to and on our way back. The trip on our way to was uneventful. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and it was as expected. Fries are ok, but fry sauce was definitely the highlight. But on our way way back we all decided to stop for dessert. They were really busy so we waited in line and when I got to the front Corbin was an absolute delight. I could tell he was tired but he was genuine and friendly and went out of his way to explain all the choices as I had never been there before. He was seriously the best. He is an ambassador for the company! My friend wanted the flavor of the day but Corbin explained that although they were technically out of it, he could easily sort something out that would be very similar. He was so friendly. My sundae was very good, but most importantly it is so nice to have such a friendly and knowledgeable person running your cash register. He made my night. He made me a Culver fan for life! We walked in on a Sunday after a softball game with a large group. I don't know if the young guy at the register had ever 1) Seen a so many whites, hispanics, and blacks together. 2) Was scared of taking all of our orders 3) Still shocked there was so many hispanics. Lordy do I miss Culver's classic Butterburgers! I've tried to find a comparable burger out there, in Culver-less California and Oklahoma, but nothing comes close. Not Steak 'n Shake, not Freddy's, nobody. I don't even crave In-N-Out like I do Culver's. And those crispy crinkle cut fries in the fry sauce, so good. Even the frozen custards are on point. My guess is the lower reviews are really about value, since prices are higher here than say Burger King (vomit). But you are paying for quality, freshness and most of all FLAVOR. Went to this Culver's after driving 6 hours to see my father who is dying of cancer. I wanted to get him his favorite fruit sundae, but the drive thru board does not say what type of fruit the sundaes come in... so I asked the drive thru lady once then twice for what type of fruit sundaes they had. I will start off by stating that we understand there are social distancing rules and we are more than willing to abide by them. But our first frustrating encounter was when we had to nearly argue with one employee to have two tables near each other since our family was being separated. So the food was great, but the service needs some improvement. We asked a few questions while ordering at the drive thru and when we arrived at the window, the cashier snatched my credit card out of my hand and was a bit abrupt with me. I saw this place on the way to another restaurant, which turned out to be closed. We came back to Culver's and ordered the kids chicken tender baskets, a burger, my husband and I both ordered chicken sandwiches (grilled and crispy). The crispy chicken in both the sandwich and the tenders were crispy on the outside and the meat was not dry. I must say, their root beer was superb! There were other things on the menu like seafood, salads, and soups. Their desserts looked amazing but we were too stuffed with our orders to even try them. My family loves the Culver's franchise, and we brought a large group to this location. The staff was immediately overwhelmed and as we got seated, we were told to stay in our appointed seats. When we questioned anything, we were back talked and told to leave by the MANAGER and OWNER'S SON. It was an embarrassing display, and the management really needs to get it together or they may not make it competitively. Not to mention, the food had no quality to it. I am not sure who would think this looks appetizing. The cheese looked like it just came out of the fridge and was slapped on, the bottom of the patty was still raw and the bacon was also raw. I am pretty confused on how Culver's is still around, I have had terrible service every time I've been to any location. The line was huge and they have a trainee that was trying to push all these people through (who actually was working really hard so good job on her part) while 3 employees were taking a break. People were having to clean off their own tables to sit down. The "Wisconsin Cheese Curds" were really good! They are made using fresh un-aged yellow and white Wisconsin cheddar and fried to deliciousness. I really liked these a lot and they weren't greasy, nice! The "Broccoli Cheese Soup" I had was not so great. It was about $4 and after one taste I threw it out. I haven't had the soup here (and more than likely never will again) before, so I don't know how it's supposed to be, but my opinion is it wasn't mixed or prepared properly. The soup just didn't look right and tasted terrible. Hubby really enjoyed his burger a lot and wants to come back. I might try something else since they have chicken and salad options however I see myself ordering from the dessert menu more. They have custard and cones and a flavor of the day that seem worth checking out. If you are a fan of root beer they have a signature recipe for you to try and you can even make it a float.
