    I love cows!

First of all, I love Culver's. They have good food, and usually, they have good service too. Today, I had to come inside to get my order fixed. I asked for a chocolate concrete and I got a vanilla one. I came inside to ask them to make me a chocolate one like I asked for. This has happened before. They make me a new one and let me keep both the new one and old one. Today, I came inside, the lady I asked about it was very nice. She told the other employees to make me another concrete. I heard the male employee say something like, "oh no I'm not remaking this, make her come inside." Then I heard the woman who I originally asked about it say, "she did come inside. She's right over there." Then they all started laughing. I mean, I guess it's good to have fun at work, but rude comments about customers should be left at the door. I didn't do anything but order my food and get the wrong item. I don't like vanilla. Now I feel like I inconvenienced this man at his own job. Anyway, this is a rare occurrence. Most of my trips here are lovely. I get the pot roast sandwich usually with pretzel bites. It's so good. And there's not a lot of places around here that serve pot roast, especially fast food.

My wife saw a commercial while here in SC , so we thought we try it Wasn't disappointed they make a great burger and shakes also they have shrimps fish and a pot roast sandwich. Service was great they give you that #sign and bring over your food. Atmosphere was chilled. There are over 900 stores in 26 states. When I'm back down here again I'll have another option for lunch.

This location was the best I've been to. Clean inside and out, great outdoor seating area and friendly staff. I can see they try to emulate Chick Fil A with their top notch hospitality. I got the crispy spicy chicken sandwich with cheese curds and hubby got butter burger with fries. Love the sauce options they give you and everything came out in a timely manner and tasted good for a quick fast causal lunch!

First thing I want to say is I absolutely love Culvers. Yesterday thought at the N Main Street location was not a good experience. Service was good a little long but not too bad. The fries were ok. I ordered the Double Sour Dough Patty Melt....... Disgusting!!!! No flavor, greasy, just overall terrible. Very disappointed. I go back but to Ladson Rd.

This was my first visit to a Culver's. I'm happy to say that I really enjoyed it! The shakes were wonderful and some of the best I've had. The fillings were great and the ice cream tasted thick and creamy. The butter burger was delicious. I'd happily go back for another one. However, the fries are pretty weak. They're a little bland and not memorable. The service was also a little weak. The food took a while to get out and I saw multiple tables going back to get items they didn't have. So it's good food that needs some service tweaks.

I am so sorry to have to burst any of you Culver's fans bubbles but this has to be said. I have tried Culver's a total of 4 times and I one time I just got the ice cream only. I have no idea why this is a place. I went because my son asked to go and honestly it wasn't our first choice. Of course there is a line and a wait... I tried something different this time and got the cod sandwich. I asked him what's on it and when he said shredded cheese, I should've said never mind. $21 later, I get my food... ate the fries first ... they were ok... and man that fish sandwich was the worst! No flavor I legit felt like I was eating cardboard. How can they serve food like this to people?? Tarter sauce even had no flavor... this need be taken off the menu, asap... and I will not be going back to another Culver's... I'm still trying to figure out why Culver's always have a line ...

They both had the Cheesy Burchy Burger and fries and I had the Deluxe Burchy Burger with onion rings. We split fried pickles and I had some hot wings. Server was friendly and food came out fast, which I appreciated because we were all pretty hungry. Fries were slightly underdone which is fine and needed salt but that was easy to fix with the shaker in the table. Burgers are a 1/4 lb smash style and were really good. Super crispy and tons of flavor. A+ on the burgers. Onion rings were fine, and I really liked my wings, crispy and the hot sauce was just right. We all agreed that the pickle chips were good. Kids liked their burgers as well. Note that the burger prices don't include a side, but $6 for a good burger is a Burger King or Wendy's price and for a local place, that's a great value. I'll take a Burchy Burger over a franchise mystery patty any day. J.Ja

I can't believe I've lived in five years I've lived in 4 states and never tried Culvers! Well that…read morerecently changed and I'm here to talk about it. Located on Ladson road in a safe and easy to access area, Culvers is home of two notable products; the butter burger and concrete. I will start out with for some reason all the cars were in one line, totally dismissing the other order station which I accessed and skipped ahead three spots! Also the people are extremely nice although they have an interesting number system as I suspect it takes them a while to make their offerings. First up I ordered onion rings since my mom finally got out of the hospital and was craving "real food." I'll go on the record stating the onion rings were probably in my top two in town. Freshly fried with REAL ONIONS and a semi-thick batter. First bite, if one survives the magma hot touch will be a huge crunch with a slight resistance from the onion itself. In thinking back, I should have ordered two servings as I didn't want to share. Alas I ate less than half because I'm trying to be a good son. Next, I finally got to try a butter burger or in this case a mushroom and Swiss burger. To be honest I thought they cooked the burger in butter rather than they lightly toast the top bun in butter. That seems a flimsy proclamation to hang your hat on but I digress. The burger was darn good, the meat tasted better than a fast-food joint and had a slight smash to it. The mushrooms were perfectly cooked and the Swiss! The cheese really brought the sandwich together. I dare say this is the best fast food burger I ever had, yes it was that good. As for dessert, I love concretes; I eat them anywhere I can find them. Culvers is probably last among the restaurants that offer them. Please note a concrete is basically a custard - think ice cream with egg yolks; it offers a thicker and richer experience - with a lot more calories. I got the cheesecake concrete with cherries. What I got was a little bit of cheesecake, no graham cracker crust and 6 whole cherries thrown on top. Moreover, it wasn't that thick, but thicker and tastier than any milkshake available from competitors. I'm a bit confused about my experience at Culvers, I was expecting a more decadent hamburger, one I thought would be seared in butter but what I got was equally good. The onion rings were phenomenal compared to subpar concrete offering. The people are nice and the speed is a bit slow, but perhaps that's warranted. After a few months if the hamburger and onion ring itch comes on, I'll be back but if I desire a concrete there's better options. Still, Culvers is a very good restaurant and I advise dropping on by to try for yourself.

I have difficulty with steps but there were enough railings to make it navigable for me. The building was likely to have at one time been a small house. There were six of us in our party and we were initially told we would be sharing one bill and the gratuity would be automatically added. A couple of our folks expressed concern and intentionally ordered cheaper items and no drinks to make sure they had adequate funds to split the bill. Fortunately our waitress, who was a joy, did individual bills and did not put on an automatic gratuity. The policy had the potential to seriously reduce the restaurant's income. They should probably rethink this stance. As noted, our waitress was terrific and rapidly got drink and food orders sorted. The menu is pretty short, but probably a good choice for a small pub type restaurant. My wife and I both selected an on-tap local brew, both of which were good and reasonably priced. We both also selected the fish and chips. The order came with a side of cole slaw that was pleasant. The chips were obviously made on site and both properly cooked and well seasoned. We are always surprised at restaurants that serve obviously bagged and frozen fries. The fish itself was reasonably sized and nicely fried. Quite tasty, but we sort of expected good seafood as this is a sister restaurant to a local seafood establishment. For the price the portion sizes of all the meals at the table seemed just a bit small. So we will quite likely return. It's not fancy. It's not high end dining. It's a tad pricey for pub food, but overall pretty good. I note here that had our waitress not been a gem or had they enforced the one check policy, this review would have been a good deal more negative. I suspect they have an accessible entrance but it was not obvious. That may be a consideration for some and checking ahead of time would be prudent.

This is a pet friendly restaurant and you can see people eating outside with their dogs as early as 11 in the morning. There wasn't any ducks to be seen. Our initial gripe was the service which wasn't particularly warm or friendly (not something that we usually find in Summerville). A patron's connection with a server is probably 75% of your dining experience at an eatery and here it was cold and unassuming. However, what was especially disappointing was the food. My burger was a dry hockey puck and was basically your typical frozen burger that you would order on the cheap from Costco. This isn't typical for a pub, a freshly made burger is usually a staple of Pub fare and it was a surprise that they would serve a frozen paddy. The fries were also nothing special as they were unenjoyable and a disappointment. My guests were also disappointed in their individual meals as well. It's possible that we hit this spot on a "bad hair day" and since we live in Summerville, we may at some point give the Dog and Duck a chance for redemption.
