They both had the Cheesy Burchy Burger and fries and I had the Deluxe Burchy Burger with onion rings. We split fried pickles and I had some hot wings. Server was friendly and food came out fast, which I appreciated because we were all pretty hungry. Fries were slightly underdone which is fine and needed salt but that was easy to fix with the shaker in the table. Burgers are a 1/4 lb smash style and were really good. Super crispy and tons of flavor. A+ on the burgers. Onion rings were fine, and I really liked my wings, crispy and the hot sauce was just right. We all agreed that the pickle chips were good. Kids liked their burgers as well. Note that the burger prices don't include a side, but $6 for a good burger is a Burger King or Wendy's price and for a local place, that's a great value. The staff were attentive and friendly. The gave a teacher discount which was very appreciative. There is onsite parking and restrooms available near the front entrance. I found myself in Summerville and really wanted to stop at the knot, but we had a baby with us so I wasn't sure if that would fly. It was early in the day so I thought it might be fine. We walked in and they said it was absolutely OK to have a baby with us and they even had a highchair available. We started with an app sampler and got mozzarella sticks, chicken bites, and fried pickles, which were all great, but the chicken bites were surprisingly tasty. I told everyone that they all had to get burgers because that's what the knot is known for... heck it's even in the name. Nobody put up an argument and rightfully so because we all loved our burgers. I was particularly hungry this time around and went with the triple which was huge. We also all shared a chili cheese, tater tots basket, and to be honest with all the food I didn't even finish my burger. Our food came out quick and our server was super nice and accommodating, especially with having a child with us. We got the jalepeno popper burgers, loaded tots, and a side of onion rings. Loaded tots was a meal on its own. The burgers were perfectly cooked and had great flavor. This week Dinah Yo and her staff warmly opened her doors to approximately 35 women meeting for lunch. She had an abreaviated menu made up for us, but it was still quite extensive. The waitstaff were friendly, helpful, and accomading while taking all the orders! This is a smash burger spot and the menu offers a variety of toppings. I chose the bacon and crispy Jalapeño one. I had no idea whether this place was a sketchy dive bar or a restaurant from the outside parking lot looking in. The place has no curb appeal and no real signage, but don't let that turn you away. I have never had anything here that I didn't love! The smash burgers are great, nice crispy edges, melty cheese. My husband loves their fried mushrooms. I don't like mushrooms so I've never had them but they do look good. They look like whole mushrooms hand breaded and fried served with a horseradish sauce if I'm not mistaken. Their onion rings are amazing. They are hand breaded as well. And I love their breading. Not too thick or too thin, they're just right. I went with my friend & her daughter for my birthday lunch and they both had the fried chicken burchy and had it in a wrap. They said it was delicious. Our waitress was great (the staff have always been pleasant and knowledgeable when I've been there). My smash burger was great as usual but I only got a single patty when normally I get a double. You can't go wrong with The Knot. They have consistently tasty food. Everything is yummy and they have a nice variety for everyone. I know they places looks like a dive from the outside, and it kinda is, but the staff is always friendly, there is plenty of seating, and the food is good! They also have some arcade type games and a pool table for some additional activities. They host different trivia nights, fundraisers, etc. so there's plenty going on. Been here twice, both visits were equally awful. I wanted to like it, and thought the first visit was just a rough night. It happens. It was not.... The bathroom is filthy, the bartenders are too busy pouring their drinks own to pour yours. I know it's a dive bar but it doesn't need to be dirty.
