Used to be a solid Culver's but has really dropped off. Concretes are pretty poor now, not sure if it is a machine problem but they are very runny- more of a shake than a concrete. Inconsistent with add_in as well, sometimes very little in there. Changing over to McDonalds for McFlurries. read more

Today makes my second rude and unpleasant visit to this particular Culver's in Wixom. The Shift Leader Dakota was very sassy and rude, when all I wanted was my ice cream remade. Then to only get home and my order is made completely wrong. Just wow robbed me of 35$. won't every give this place a 3rd chance. Awful experience! read more

Ugh...I just don't "get it". This review is specifically about this particular location, yes, but it could very well apply to any other Culver's location, too. I guess people must come here for the custard, because if they're coming for the burgers and fries, they must have very low standards. Look: the employees are pretty much, to the one, nice folks. I don't believe that I've ever had any kind of service issue, to be honest. So it's not as though they're personally trying to tick me off or anything, or that there's any kind of attitude from these hard-working folks. Too, for the most part, it's usually a pretty clean joint. Clean tables have always been available for me, the trash cans are (usually) pretty well taken care of (this does not apply to the one in the drive-thru which is nearly *always* overflowing with trash), and the bathrooms are pretty clean and stocked when I've used them. Sounds pretty good so far, yeah? If only the food were much good at all. I'm sorry...what they do to beef here ought to be against some kind of legislation. The beef patties you get on your burger are just COOKED TO DEATH, even if you ask them not to. They're squashed flat on a grill, and any-and-all juiciness, flavor, and good texture is just cooked *right out of them*. Honest, I've had better beef at McDonalds. That's practically heresy, right there. Other ingredients are hit-and-miss, too. The tomato I had tonight was just *sad*. The onions I'd asked for were missing (but kindly provided when I went back up and asked for them). The extra pickles I wanted were there as requested. The lettuce was pretty stinking sorry. And the fries...oh, mercy, those awful crinkle-cut fries. Almost always overcooked, yet somehow not crispy or enjoyable. What did those poor potatoes ever do to deserve such a fate? Fountain drinks are fountain drinks. Those are fine. I have had their custard on occasion here, and I'll spot that it's pretty good. Certainly not life-changingly good or anything, but it holds its own decently. If someone wanted some, I wouldn't wrinkle my nose at them or anything...they do offer a ridiculous amount of fillings/mix-ins with their custard, but it really doesn't benefit from those things very much. Good custard can/should usually stand on its own, and this stuff pretty much does. But heaven above: going here today cost me $0.00, as I had a gift card with a remaining balance on it. I honestly don't look forward to going back to use the remainder that's still on there. Why? Because they can't get the "real" food right. It's not what I want out of a burger and fries, and it's nowhere *close*. It's never made me sick or anything (how *could* it, when it's cooked that far?), but it pulls up the rear in terms of burger destinations. How they think a burger of that "quality" can be worth anywhere near what they charge, I'll never know. Go for custard. It's probably a good summertime destination, just for that reason alone. But if you're honestly *hungry*, you could do a *whole* lot better than Culver's. I won't one-star them, because of the good things that they do bring to the table...I just wish that some of the good things they bring to the table would be burgers and fries. I literally left the driver thru 5 min ago and this is probably one of the worst experiences I've had ordering fast food. I spent $30 and my concrete mixers looked like soup and none of the topping were correct. I get the tender basket and you don't give me a ranch and the grilled cheese is soggy as if it's been sitting out. When ordering after I ordered one item I'm cut me off as if I was finished ordering to have to finish my order at the window to have the girl throw a hissy fit that I'm trying to finish my order. These kids should be grateful I'm willing to come out and spend my money with everything going on and that they get to keep working but you don't have to be disrespectful and not care about the product your giving out to paying customers. read more

I'm having an annoying day... went in to this establishment and wanted just a drink. The sign had a different price for tea and pop. I wanted tea ($.10 less) but he rang up a med Pepsi and then argued with me about the $.10. He said he hit tea, on the screen it read Pepsi. Then he told the manager the sign displaying the prices was wrong. Bottom line, I was paying more no matter what. I walked over to the tea and if you are an iced tea person you'll get this - the tea was old. It had the pungent funky taste. And I wasn't going back to mr jerk store to get my $ back. Since I paid for a pop, I took it. $2 for a pop is a bit rich ($2.11 with tax...). It wasn't going well for me before, and it still isn't. read more

Based solely on the Concrete Mixer: Since getting this years ago, we never go to Dairy Queen anymore for Blizzards. Culvers doubles the goodies (candy or fruit) and blend it smoothly together with frozen custard. The candy is big pieces too, not just crumbs or shavings. Sometime when it's busy in the summertime, the custard is too soft, but I can't resist my favorite: Mini Concrete Mixer with double peanut butter cups. We tried other Culver's, but this one really does make the best Concert Mixers. The price for a mini has gone up twice totaling over 50 cents in the last 2 years which is a bummer. They now cost about $ 3.50 with tax, but are still delicious. read more

definitely the worse culvers i've been too. the prices are higher than i've ever seen, though the service was pretty quick. i got a 2 piece buffalo tender basket, a medium cheese curd, and medium coke and a cheese sauce. 12 dollars! i pay less than 10 for this same thing everywhere else i go. on top of that, they didn't even have the buffalo tenders so they gave me franks red hot and normal tenders. the normal tenders are Not good, and they gave me the smallest ones they had truly baffled. read more

This location again delivers quick and crisp and attentive service along with super good food. This was our first time eating at Culver's and we were not disappointed. The food is delicious. We were staying overnight at a hotel nearby and just wanted something quick. It was a nice surprise. My usually picky son ate everything - including the fries which he never does. He loves that their bbq sauces are bigger than your usual fast food bbq sauces. There was no charge for them either. My fish sandwich is one of my favorites. I love fish and am usually disappointed when it comes to fish sandwiches. My only issue was the gal who took my payment. She had a major attitude and sounded incredibly annoyed by us. Oh well. The other gal who brought our food out for us was super sweet so we didn't leave on a sour note. I love Culver's. Their butter burger with cheese is exactly what a good diner burger should be, and their milkshakes are my kryptonite. Hands down, they serve up some of the best fast food (if there can be such a thing) in Michigan, and this location is no different. However, they are still working out the kinks here. I've stopped in two times now, and both times have been a bit of a mixed bag, mostly because the employees are still a little confused about how to make the system work. (I think some of the customers are confused, too.) Give it time, though... the food is very good, and the people are very nice. They just need a little more time and practice to figure it all out. read more

First time ever trying Culver's Burgers, and it wasn't the best experience. The food was nice and hot, it was just so bland. It was like they didn't use any salt at all when cooking their burgers. The fries were okay, again it just seemed like it was missing something. Another thing that was slightly annoying, was that on the menu board it showed the burgers having plenty of veg on them, but when I got my sandwich it was only unsalted burger, bacon, and cheese. Don't show a burger with veg, if you aren't going to serve it by default. I will probably try this place one more time, but if the food is as bland as the first time, I won't be back. read more

Without a doubt, they get it! What do they get? Customer service! Culvers has figured out how to get every single employee to be of this mind set, which makes this place an enjoyable visit every single time. It leads to friendly happy cashiers/servers (yes, fast food delivered to your table), and the food preparation in that it is rare to get a bad meal! Fries always fresh, never once have had over cooked food.... It's exactly what you'd expect from fast food.... Only better! Clean restaurant too, as I watched a young man with autism most likely, cleaning with pride the tables and chairs and doors. I also got a smoothie, that was real fruit....and incredible! The ONLY drawback is to get fresh Food you often have to wait longer than average for fast food, but still faster than many places. When I went back up to let them know, the woman at the counter said she'd asked if I wanted a basket, which was a sandwich - if I wanted just the cod, it was a dinner.
