Had the pleasure of having dinner here last night w/ friends, and it's going to have to become a regular occasion! Great little dining room separate from the busy takeout entrance/area is a nice touch. Samosa and pakora (I could've eaten the whole basket by myself it was so good!) as apps. I had Chicken Makhani w/ garlic naan, hubs had Chicken Korma w/ barotta (or as he took to calling it, bread spaghetti), friends had chicken tikka masala and chicken chettinadu. Everything was delicious! We were stuffed but just wanted to keep eating! And the staff was very kind and patient w/ us - our questions were probably dumb and our pronunciation terrible but we were responded to with a smile. The bonus carrot halwa treat was also greatly appreciated! Thank you for being here! Can't wait to come back! Tip to first timers in this shopping center... be mindful, people drive like maniacs in this lot!

I tried their dishes at one housewarming party last summer, it's been a year and I wanted to visit this restaurant since then. I wrote the review at that time but since then, I was waiting to visit this outlet in person. While coming from Poconos, I decided to take a detour and came here. The first thing I noticed- was no dine-in without reservation!! How would I know this? None of the Indian restaurants ( not talking about fine dining or upscale restaurants) has this thing, I thought I ll get the table, but nope it was a 20-25 min wait to get a table so the lesson is " call and reserve the table". They don't have resources so they don't prefer dine-in, but they do have 4 tables so that patrons like us who prefer hot food at the table rather than packing/to-go/door dash/GrubHub it. Anyway coming to food- The lady over there- she helped us while ordering, suggesting what is good for us. We ordered Fish marina- confused bw fish Apollo and marina, Apollo is more yogurt based so we chose marina. What I loved apart from the spiciness & fresh fish is their uniform coating. Normally in fish fry, the coating is not that uniform. Loved this item and the quantity was good. Mutton biryani: Fri-sat-sun- biryani is available for only 3 days, and mind you I have been a lover of biryani since the day I tasted it first. On the east coast- it is one of the best biryani I have ever had, definitely top 3 for me. This is not Hyderbadi nor Kolkata, it's their own version. pieces were well-cooked and you can feel pieces are covered in spices, I meant it's not there just for the sake of it or added separately, like many Indian restaurants. and yes Raita- it's good as well, unlike other restaurants where they serve watery ones, god knows what that is. Chicken dum ka- it was also good. be careful about the spicy level; here spicy means "really spicy" Menu: interesting, they did not just fill out the pages with 100s of items and confuse customers. they have their cooking style (masala base) and mix it with Chicken/Lamb/goat/egg/veg- that's it! The only thing that was not in my favor was it's far from my home; then the owner informed - me they have one branch in Seacaucus and now I can't wait to go over there. This small restaurant is one of my fav Indian restaurants on the east coast. (I am among the top reviewers on various platforms) so I know what I am talking about. Definitely 5 stars.

I am happy that I found a new Indian food place which is just 12 mins drive from Breinigsville. The food was delicious, and the service was great. A great selection of options with a brief description of sauces/curry styles with 1-5 spicy levels. Great place for Biryani lovers. read more

Let me start this by saying that I never really had Indian food before. I saw the great reviews here on Yelp for Cumin N Eat, and figured I'd give it a shot. I was NOT DISAPPOINTED. The food was amazing. I got the butter chicken and the chicken tikka masala. The spices and taste of it made each bite a pleasure. I would also advise getting some of the kinds of milk that they have, it really adds to the food. I am now a lover of Indian food, and I can't wait to get more soon! read more

so delicious! the best takeout, and everything tastes do authentic. they have so many vegetarian options which is great. the food also lasts well for a couple days in the fridge. the rice is one of the best things on the menu! and the naan and tofu are SO GOOD. i can't get enough of this place, definitely try it! read more

By far the best Indian food we have ever eaten. Spices perfectly blended. No one flavour overwhelmed the others, all worked deliciously together. The lamb in lamb Kedai were large pieces with no fat or grizzle, so tender they could be cut with a fork, moist and flavourful. read more

I saw a local news story about this place (which had the misfortune of opening in the thick of the COVID-19 pandemic--not great timing!). The people who opened this restaurant used to own Biryani City out by the airport, which has been my go-to Indian place for the past few years. This spot is much closer to where I live in West Allentown. That was enough to entice me to order once, and the amazing food has inspired me to order again and again. Everything my husband and I have gotten from here has been excellent--chicken tikka, paneer vindaloo, lamb sukka, aloo gobi masala. Watch out: One chili ("mild") is pretty hot and two chilis ("medium") is fire. I think the chili system goes up to four, and I don't even want to know what would happen to my body if I tried something that hot. (But that's one marker of great Indian food!) They're offering curbside pickup right now, and everything we've ordered has been ready right when I pulled up to get it. We are trying to order from here at least every other week to ensure they stay open until we can actually, ahem, Cumin N Eat. read more

We had couple of take outs from Cumin n eat. Loved the chilly chicken. The mutton Sukka, naan and curries were good too. I was so excited for Indian restaurant in Allentown , 2 miles from Costco. Amazingly clean and safe place to get delicious Indian food. Our food was flavorful and not too spicy. It was nice to choose the heat level from zero to five. Serving sizes were enough for lunch and dinner which justifies the higher price. We'll return and hope to be able to dine in and get to know our neighbors. Had never been before and decided to try and new place tonight. Sat outside tonight with my friend and thoroughly enjoyed the lamb sukka, fish marina, lamb vindaloo, and goat makhani (I think), as well as some naan of a number of varieties of course. We got our first dish, the lamb sukka, at a spice level of 3, and that was dangerously hot, but we ventured to try level 4 with the rest of our food and everything turned out perfectly. I tried the biriyanis for first time here. Comparatively egg biriyani was not that good. Goat biriyani was tasty but both are in less quantity. I ordered fish Apollo and Majestic Chicken and both are tasty and good amount of volume. I'll strongly prefer Cumin n Eat for the starters! Best among other Indian restaurants. read more

I had a chicken tikka wrap and my friend had a chicken tikka bowl (salad). We had a side of masala fries. The food was A+ and plentiful. Enough for a doggy bag for each of us. We've ordered take out from here twice. Both times it has been amazing. The flavor is absolutely delicious. It's so good you almost can't stop eating it (I typically have no problem, but with this food it's hard). My picky two year old devoured my tikka masala. This is the closest place to us by far to get Indian food. They have always been friendly and the prices I believe are fair. My only gripe is that they could add more protein (i.e. chicken) to their saucy dishes. Otherwise I'm ecstatic to have found this place! read more

Unfortunately, there was a strong cold draft at floor level, leaving our feet uncomfortably cold throughout the meal. The hostess was sweet and greeted us with a smile. The food service was unremarkable. Our waiter was not particularly friendly nor personable. The drinks were a weak start. The red sangria was poor. The bourbon cocktail was an odd mix of bourbon, apple cider, and other elements--an awkward, Frankenstein-style whiskey sour that simply didn't work. Worst of all, both drinks were served in thin plastic cups, which immediately cheapened the entire experience. I ordered the falafel sandwich and specifically requested a toasted bun. It arrived not just room temperature, but cold. I sent it back, and it returned burning hot... the bottom soggy... literally too hot to pick up... with no browning or color change, clearly microwaved. Microwaving is not toasting. At that point, the sandwich was inedible. I removed the bun entirely and ate just the falafel, which was dry and largely tasteless. At this point I knew coming back to this restaurant was a mistake. Food timing was another issue. The dishes took roughly 45 minutes to arrive after the drinks, possibly longer. We were all getting annoyed and what started out well when we first walked in turned negative. I wasn't impressed on my first visit years ago... and this second visit confirmed it. Between the poor drinks, cheap plastic cups, ridiculously long wait (with no explanation nor apology), and careless food execution, there's no reason to return.

Two of us each had a beer, one Shrimp Cocktail for the table and two dinners & the bill with the tip was $150. Wow.

My family and I stumbled upon Cumin N Eat, an Indian restaurant, while searching for a vegan-friendly dine-in option in the area. We made a reservation and promptly headed over. The restaurant had a simple, no-frills ambiance, but the exceptional food and customer service more than made up for it. Our server patiently guided us through the menu, which was a bit confusing for some of us who were new to Indian cuisine. Thanks to their help, we all thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. We began with the vegan Samosas ($8), which were fresh, crispy, and had a delightful hint of spice. For my vegan dinner, I opted for Mixed Vegetables with Korma, cooked in a rich coconut and cashew gravy. I ordered it with a mild spice level. The sauce was flavorful and creamy, and it was accompanied by perfectly cooked Basmati rice. As for vegan sides, I tried the Plain Roti ($4), which lacked flavor by itself but was decent for dipping. Also, the Vegetable Fried Rice ($11), a tasty and generously portioned choice. My non-vegan family members ordered Garlic Naan, which looked and smelled amazing. They also appreciated the option to choose their preferred spice levels for their dinners. Cumin N Eat served everything in to-go containers, which was convenient since we took our leftovers home. They provided plates for transferring the food as well. The restaurant impressed us with its commitment to fresh, made-to-order dishes. If I ever find myself in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to return. It caters to both vegans and non-vegans, and I'd recommend making a reservation for a seamless experience. CHEAP RESTAURANT THAT DOES NOT EVEN offer even plastic cutlery and utensils on a TO-GO ORDER for $10 price tag on most of their menu items. WHAT A PIECE OF JOKE! THEY LIE AND BAD MOUTH CUSTOMERS ON their reviews as well. even after the fact, they don't learn from their mistakes. This kind of place should outright be closed from further operation. You do not even have the basic courtesy to treat customers well. Your guy was throwing satires at us on the phone when asked for utensils/napkins asking us to buy them by coming inside instead of apologizing. Thank god I verbally complained over the phone and did not come inside your unworthy restaurant, where customers are not respected and in fact considered a joke for not even offering basic cutlery and napkins to eat on a to-go order. WE DID ASK FOR UTENSILS AND WERE ASKED TO BUY THEM. If you don't treat customers right, you will experience the wrath of customers and your reviews are already evident of what you offer to customers in return when they come to your restaurant hoping to have good food and a good time. I've enjoyed their food a many times, and I'm glad to say that I doubt that will be changing. All of the cuisines that I've ordered with my family have been excellent, as to be expected. Only suggestion is as mentioned by someone before, to differentiate between the level of spicy you would like. The difference between American spicy and Indian spicy is vast. read more

I am on an odyssey to order everything on this menu. So far I have ordered 16 dishes and all were terrific! My favorites so far are the Chicken Majestic, the Lamb Sukka and the Chicken Dum Biryani.
