I did a review about ten days ago and I was happy come to find out I think I got jacked I got a call a few days I picked up the Coach saying I got charged for a belt that they didn't even put on I like ok ... So the only reason why I didn't make a big deal out of it because it was at another shop and he said he would put it on so... I said ok but the other shop showed me all the screws and stuff that was missing from them fixing the generator screws broke screws just laying around inside I fell like I just got taken 3000 grand and the Gen didn't even get fix properly makes me wonder what they really charged me for I hate to say not going back and I still need more work on the gen after they said it was fixed not cool so.... avoid this place read more

This year, I stopped for an oil change again and very pleased with Tony, Damon and really everyone in the front office You could not ask for a better group to take care of your engine service Yes, it is more expensive, but I find that everywhere. Always excellent service by my experience. I bring my motorhome here for ISX12 engine service, and to date it has always been done professionally, promptly and properly. I can't say this would happen with everybody, but during my most recent visit to discuss engine brake issues, service director Tony resolved it by explaining its intricacies to me, helping to determine that the underlying issue was my lack of familiarity with engine brake intracacies, and he did so at no charge, which blew me away. How refreshing to work with a shop that are not complete money grubbers, like many, and who actually care about their customers. Bakersfield Cummins needs to make a living like every shop, so I expect the freebies are few and far between, but I am still in shock that he spent some of his time educating and helping me at no charge. read more

After spending $5200 to have some maintenance done and to have an issue with the engine not getting fuel flow addressed. we picked it up after they had it for 1.5 weeks only to discover they had not replaced 2 of the 3 fuel filters. Took it back they had it and addition 5 day. Got it back headed out to the coast and fuel issue showed up again in Lost Hills. Got it back to Cummins they had it another week, replaced the fuel pump and charged another $1200. Got corp in Nashville involved who got Lisa the regional manager involved who has yet to callback after saying she would look into the matter. He told me the shipping box is messed up so he went ahead and charged me the whole 15 percent on everything which came out to 119.48 out of 990.00 for a restocking fee on everything else that was in perfect condition. Randy told me he could wave the restocking fee but not this time due to the fact he had to put the water pump and oil cooler in 2 new boxes does that really cost 119.00???? The worst & a Total rip-off, Don't ever deal with these people for anything cummings related.. All I needed was a battery charger for my stand-by home unit . I received a quote from Tracy in thier office to have it replaced, that quote was $2287.00. They listed the part(charger) cost was $730, all the rest was for trip charge & labor. I thought that this was a high estimate & cancelled the scheduled appointment. I contacted Cumming parts in Elkhart, Indiana to get the cost for the new charger, the cost from them was $119.00 plus $30 for shipping, and I can install it myself. again, don't have anything to do with cummings of Bakersfield, Caifornia. read more

RVers BEWARE: My wife and I brought in our motorhome to have the generator looked at as soon as they opened at 8am. It wasn't staying on when the start switch was released, and we were getting an error code E03 for the AC Output. ASHLEY, who introduced herself as the Supervisor of the Service Department said that they could service it within a couple of hours and had us sign an estimate of $340 for "LABOR". She said it covered the diagnostic, labor for 2 hours, and the repair that they most likely could fix within those 2 hours. 2pm rolls around and we hadn't received a call back so we reached out for an update. JERRY who we later discovered was working from home, rudely answered the phone and said that there was no way they'd look at it today, but maybe tomorrow. He told me to hold on while he read a text message and then said that they actually had looked at it, but couldn't provide a diagnostic unless we paid an additional $700+ to remove the generator. We immediately went to pick up the rv, where Ashley gives us a revised estimate with notes indicating their "findings" that we actually brought to their attention. These findings supposedly took 2 hours to reach (No AC Output). After trying to sell us again on an additional $700 to simply remove the generator, she said that if further service was required, they'd just recommend replacing it because it's in really bad shape anyway due to it's age (after spending $1,000+). LAZY work, POOR customer service, SUSPICIOUS business dealings. Total rip off. read more

They are HORRIBLE!!!!! They fixed our RV ,Atleast we thought. When we got our RV back it was worse then when we took it in. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE IT THERE. Daniel who works the front needs to be fired. The manager is a coward and will not talk to you. The mechanics have no clue on how to fix your vehicle unless the computer tells them what to do. We took it to there sister company in Ventura and they fixed part of what the Bakersfield branch screwed up. PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOU RV. Take it to the Ventura branch. I will be turning them into the BBB. When we took it back to them they tried to charge us again. They are a horrible business. read more

They took me without an appointment and fixed my motorhome which was leaking oil heavily and not drivable. Charges were reasonable.

They took them 5 days to fix my truck. New egr valve, new Dpf filter and some few problems. I spent 2k for the parts and another 2k for the labor. It doesn't make sense why it take so long. read more

The parts ppl, Randy and Damian, are two classy gentlemen. Always willing to help no matter how busy they maybe. I approached Damian with an issue where my cummins motor mechanical fuel injector pump kept shaking off the fasteners loose. He was willing to help diagnose the issue and finally referred me to their technical dept in Fresno. It was here, where the problem was corrected - so far. Also, not ever knowing the proper terminology on a description of parts, Randy seems to always understand me and get me the part I need. I am very opinionated to how ppl treat others, and I know we all have good and bad days, but Randy and Damian, always treat me right. I'm not just another customer!!! read more

Only reason they get 1 star is i can't give zero. First off they played the "it will be done today" game for 3 days. When it was done they didn't even bother to call me and tell me. Then wanted to charge me 1100$ to replace a crankshaft sensor and tighten 2 clamps. I called BS so it got dropped to 700$. Being able to drop it that easy just shows they didn't need to charge that in the first place. After that they wrote "wash me" in the dirt on the door. A week later my power steering is still leaking and they want yet another 250$ for labor to replace a part they could have already replaced the first time. TERRIBLE customer service. DO NOT bring your truck here. If it isn't anything major I HIGHLY recommend Big O Tires, yes it's a tire shop but they can do a lot of stuff and will help you to their best abilities! Ask for Sal. Make Cummins your last resort. Took my motor home in to have the generator worked on. It wouldn't start. They charged me $1,300 to replace starter, solenoid, relay,and spark plug. Got it home and it still wouldn't start. When I took it back they tried to have me sign for a $248 diagnostic fee. I refused and argued that it should have been repaired right in the first place. 2 days later they had me pick it up and it still wasn't fixed. They didn't charge me but the work order report written by the tech indicated every other reason why it was never going to work right. I feel like they ripped me off. FYI. The company I work for spent $57,000 with them last year. They knew where I worked since they always saw me in my work uniform. Evidently this doesn't matter. read more

On road trip from Oregon through Sacramento to Bakersfield then to Orange County. Our Onan Generator quit running 1st hour into our trip with temps running Into triple digits. We were recommended to stop in Cummins Repair Shop during our quick stay in Bakersfield. I was amazed with the service from Jerry & Technician, Jeff who quickly inspected and discovered the issue with the generator. The problem was fixed within a couple hours and we were back on the road for a scheduled event in Orange County. Jerry (Military Veteran) was an excellent example of how he has served our country with pride and returned to serve his community the same way. I could go on and on with 5 star reviews about this establishment but hope if your ever in need of repair to your RV you should consider stopping in. Serviced my motor home, oil change, fuel filters and charge AC. The mechanic bent my motorcycle rack and it took two mechanics two hours to fix it. On the way home to Az the AC stopped working. $300 wasated. Would nor recomend. read more
