I went to the AutoZone on 332 Niles St first, and I told the guy (I didn't get his name) that I needed a headlight bulb for my 2018 Honda Civic. He sold me the wrong bulb (9005), and when I went to replace it, I saw that my original bulb was actually an H11. I was so frustrated because I couldn't believe someone who works in an auto parts store didn't know or didn't double check. On top of that, when I asked if he could help change my windshield wiper, he told me he couldn't do it. That confused me because I've had my wipers changed at AutoZone before -- just not at that location. I honestly should have gone to the Lamont location from the beginning. I went to the AutoZone in Lamont after that frustrating experience, and it was a completely different level of customer service. I was already stressed and in a rush because I had to work soon, but as soon as I walked in, Raul helped me right away. He took the time to listen to what happened, found the correct light bulb for my car, and explained the difference between the basic Sylvania bulbs and the brighter white ones so I could choose the best one for my needs. After buying the bulb, I asked if he could change my windshield wiper, and without hesitation, he went outside and replaced it for me. Raul was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful -- something that was very much appreciated after the morning I had. Raul's customer service truly made a difference. This is an auto-parts just like any other auto-parts store yu may have been to. Yes, they more than likely have what you are looking for. The problem with this one is that regardless of what you are searching for, you will need to wait in line before you can have someone assist you in finding the part "from the back". This is evident by the roped off queue area that you see as soon as you walk in. This is so that you know to just stand in line and begin to wait... It is obviously a problem or they wouldn't have to have that queue as soon as you walk in. read more

Well the place was slammed which is the norm for most auto parts stores on a Friday afternoon. As I walked over to lubricant section, I asked the Comercial Account clerk if they price matched Napa? His answer was "I don't know you'll need to ask one of the front counter guys." I thought hmmm really that's funny, alright. But I needed some other things anyway which they didn't have in stock either and turned out that Autozone doesn't carry the 0W-20 Motor Oil I needed for that vehicle either. But when I got up to the front of the line, I asked the clerk, "Is the Comercial Account guy the manager?" His answer, "YES he's one and points over to another guy and he's the other." But I already knew the answer to the question I was asking anyway, because they were both wearing Autozone's Manager Attire... (All managers wear grey shirt, black pants, black belt). And before selling one of my businesses I had an Autozone Commercial Account. I'm retired now after 40 plus years in the Auto Collision Repair Industry. Normally I go to O'reilly Auto Parts across the street because their parts counter guys there knowledgeable and don't act like "CLOCK PUNCHERS". It's absolutely unacceptable in my opinion for a manager to look you square in the face and straight up lie to you. I wouldn't put up with that from my people and they did and I caught wind of it they would be looking for work. So I went over to NAPA got everything I needed in one stop, so from now on, I'll have no problem driving right passing them on my way to NAPA if O'Reilly doesn't have it first. All my vehicles are on a fluid analysis program with BLACKSTONE LABS and usually I keep on the shelf everything for a complete service for all of my vehicles but this truck was still breaking in. Since this vehicle has had plenty of time to seat the rings and the wear metals have stabilized and nothing is out of range I was ready to switch it over to my preferred brand Full Synthetic Brand I just didn't have any "0W-20" on hand. But today just reinforced why I use O'Reilly's across the street first and Autozone on Niles Street won't be my second in line, they won't even be my last in line. read more

I called at 10am to inquire about getting an alternator for my truck and was told they didn't have it but they could get it from the warehouse and it would be there around three when I went in at 4pm and stood in line for twenty they looked on the computer and said we don't have an order for that name or # and that they never ordered the part to be delivered. They make everyone stand in one long line only to tell you your in the wrong line and if your making a purchase you need to stand by the front door register even though no employee is at that register. They tell you they'll send someone over to that register. read more

I bought a belt for my truck a week ago and it ripped , I called to check the warranty and the person over the phone said as long as I brought in a piece of the ripped belt, they would respect my 3 year warranty , when I showed up with a piece of the belt and my receipt the "manager" LUPE witch I have no idea how this individual got that tittle was extremely rude. She saw the piece and her response was "I don't see no belt here " and said she would not respect the warranty if we didn't bring the whole belt in , a belt that ripped while I was driving , then her response was "WELL WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO" in the most aggressive disrespectful way , I will never go to this location ever again . I'm a employee of pepboys and chose to go to auto zone for a replacement battery for my car remote "push to start" so as you know my car won't start without a battery working, anyways auto zone is walking distance from my house so I sent my partner to auto zone to replace the battery. Not one person would help my partner take the cover off to replace the battery. Pathetic I know it's a risk but you can show someone how to take the cover off it took over 20 min to have the "manager" help. Come on guys get better customer service. This place was packed when I went, which was a late Saturday morning. There's a hiring sign out front, so possibly the long line is due to under-staffing? Almost all the registers were filled with employees and the guy that helped me was nice and did his best to help me as soon as possible since I had an appointment coming up. He checked my car battery and installed a new one for me, answered all my questions and seemed knowledgeable about his work. Overall I'm happy with the service I received. Paid to get a tow truck to take my car there, they couldn't even figure out how to open my hood. They took one look at the battery and said it was too complicated of a battery change. Also that they were too busy today. I drive a 2015 Ford how complicated could it possibly be..they just said sorry, try another place. Had to call another tow truck.
