Good place for beer and food. In my experience they have solid wings on days it's not wing night. The food has always been good. Lots of tvs to watch sports and the place is clean. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. I've been to Cunningham's about 15/20 times and have yet to be really disappointed, I'd give it a 4.3 if I could. The bathrooms are average and the TP is a little tougher than I like, because a soft TP is always nice. read more

I'm always indifferent about Cunningham's. Every time I arrive at this place, I don't have a great experience nor a bad experience. The food is good, but nothing I would go out of my way to eat. The beer selection is great, but half the time the beers I want are not available since they ran out. The service is okay. They're friendly, but not phenomenal when it comes to quick delivery of service. There are times we could be waiting for our refills, checks, or food for a decent amount of time. 4 stars only because it was so delicious. We went on St. Patrick's day and enjoyed their specials. The corned beef, cabbage and potatoes was absolutely delicious. Portion size was great for the price and the wait wasn't too long. I would definitely recommend adding carrots to this meal. There was a mix up with a kids meal order and instead of the server offering to bring the correct item I decided not to argue with her and just asked to order another different kids meal on top of our wrong order. My 10 year old sat there waiting while everyone else ate. The server should have apologized and brought the correct meal. Since it was St. Patrick's day they were handing out wrist bands for drinkers. Even though only one person at our table ordered a beer and we were there at 11am, one of the staff insisted we have wrist bands. We told her we weren't drinking and she insisted. My sister politely declined and the staff member gave her one anyway. My sister declared she wouldn't put it on and the staff member called her a "psycho". Just because it was solely based on the service we got (which was bad, bad,bad) but today I got better everything than last time. Thanks for my family to take me there otherwise I would not have picked this place from last experience... Today I got their Thai Chicken Wrap and Onion rings. It was pretty good. My husband got buffalo chicken wrap which got kick to it and good. Foods were great and server was nice too. They have huge selection of beer and many quality beers on tap. Price for those beer are very reasonable compare to other places. I couldn't drink today because it was my working hour still but I'd definitely go back for beer. Cunningham's is our after work go-to thanks to its close proximity to our Omaha office. Truth be told, when I'm working out of our Omaha office, there's so many other places I'd rather go than Cunningham's, but precedent often overrules me. There's nothing particularly wrong with Cunningham's, but when I come to Omaha, I like to try and experience things I wouldn't normally find back in NJ. Cunningham's, for better or worse, is akin to a TGI Friday's, Applebee's, Bennigan's -- or any of those types of chain restaurants. You can count on decent bar food coming out of the fryer that you can wash down with a cold beer or simple cocktail. Nothing to write home about, but fine for getting everyone together after work for a quick happy hour before heading home. (Or in my case, back to the hotel.) read more

I was pleasantly surprised by Cunningham's. It's located in an unassuming strip mall tucked under the expressway in Old Mill. Add in its generic Irish name and you have the type of place you honestly wouldn't expect to be much more different from, say, a place like the Fox and Hound. But I had heard rumors about them having some excellent wings. So I got there and, first off, was highly impressed with their beer selection. Dozens of crafts on tap, including a high ABV sour (which, of course, I had to try -- it was superb). For food, I ordered the peanut butter and jelly wings, which were essentially PB-battered fried wings that you dipped in a jelly sauce. They were honestly a little skimpy, but hey, some chickens are bigger than others. Big props to our server. He knew we were crunched for time as we were heading to Westroads to see a movie post dinner. I arrived a little later than the rest in my party and he promptly took my order as soon as I had a chance to browse the menu, and my wings and beer showed up in matter of minutes. Seriously, stellar service from the staff, especially considering it was a busy Friday night. I'm looking forward to going back and trying some other items off the menu. Wow! What great food and I can't hardly believe this place has been open since 2010 and I had never heard about it. Janet Yellen had the swiss and mushroom burger with onion rings. She demolished it in record time. Proof positive that she has fully recovered from her fainting incident. I had the grilled chicken sandwich. Very tasty, with the right amount of spices and juicy to boot. The cole slaw was just right. Plenty of screens for all sorts of sporting events with signs taped under the screen so you know what you are watching. Special props for the sound deadening materials placed in the metal ceiling. We had seen the positive reviews, so we decided to try Cunningham's out tonight. Got here around 9 & they weren't busy at all. We came for wings & found out that you can't order multiple sauces in their largest order, so we ordered several smaller orders. The wings are smoked & grilled, so the flavor was good but they were not hot when they are arrived at our table. Also, they didn't have enough sauce to really taste the different flavors. We also ordered nachos with steak. DO NOT ORDER. For the price they are small & everything was soggy and not warm/hot. Not sure if our order sat in the back or what. This place was amazing! I ordered the Big Mac & Cheese burger, which I thought would be a little messy. But the burger was well put together and the flavor of it was beyond spectacular. Along with the fried Mac & cheese, it comes with a couple thick strips of bacon, lettuce and a blueberry sriracha jam which gave it a unique but very tasty kick to it. Comes on a ciabatta bun which went well with it. Its a big burger thats for sure. Also the cajun tots as the side were awesome! Selection of drinks was big and the service was great! I'm very much between 3 and 4 stars for Cunninghams, but ultimately it's about the food, so I'll round up to 4. Cunninghams just has really tasty food. It's not particularly fancy, but it is satisfying, fresh, and (mostly) well prepared. The best thing I've had so far were the Grilled Wings, PB&J style. Large, tasty wings, smoked and grilled (not fried, yay!), and with just the right amount of peanut sauce with jelly sauce for dipping. Note: this is not just peanut butter and jelly. The sauces are well prepared and have some nice heat. Very much an Asian peanut sauce idea. The Ribeye Philly I had on the same night was also really good, but I wasn't up to eat much of it after devouring most of the order of wings! The Sweet Potato Fries were waffle style, crispy, hot and delicious. Oddly, they had powdered sugar dusted over them. Haven't had that before, but it wasn't bad. Another visit I had the Coconut Shrimp Salad(I freaking love coconut shrimp! Love it!), which was tasty, but had an overabundance of toppings for the amount of lettuce. I ended up with just a bunch of cheese, nuts and dressing in the bottom of my bowl at the end. It would have been much more satisfying with just another handful of greens to balance it out. My husband Brian had the individual pizza with sausage and pepperoni both times we ate here; he enjoyed it that much. He has basic tastes, so a good, solid pizza and some good beers on tap is pretty much what it takes to make him happy. So, all that said, why am I wavering on the four stars? Atmosphere. This place has pretty much, well, none. Concrete floors. Dark interior. One big box of a dining area with a bar on one end. TVs playing reruns of Nebraska Football(really? rerun sports?) in July are the "decor". Mostly high bar tables with cheap, spindly little stools. So, yeah. It's a bar. A cheap, unappealing, loud, uninviting bar. I shudder to think what the old location was like if this is what they came up with for the new location. Our service was passable on one visit and above average on another. Nothing great, nothing awful, so I don't add or subtract anything for the service. Overall, if you care more about food than other elements when eating out, Cunninghams is solid. If you would like a little something extra, like something on the walls or covered ceiling ducts, this place isn't for you. read more

The entrance is so strangely placed they need real estate poke in the ground signs to point it out... It's on the side And it's unadorned and insignificant. Felt like we were sneaking in. Once inside the floor is nicely done and the place is clean and smells good. There are the standard and large screen tv's for decor..a bar that stands by itself in the corner .. feels like the decor is not quite done. We're got good service...but we were early on a Saturday night ..there was only a large group of bicyclists who were outside cooling off with drinks and a smattering of others inside. This was our first visit....but we'd heard a lot about the place... The burgers were better than most sports bars...and my wife really liked the chicken sandwich. Most fried foods are beer batter fried so if you're not a beer drinker...less choices. The nachos appetizer was really good...all four of us liked it... flour tortilla chips was a surprise and you need your fork to dive in. We weren't there to drink but the waitress kept us plied with lemonade and Sprite... which is always appreciated. There are some interesting choices on the menu compared to other places so we may stop in again when the timing works out... but the place is a bit pricy for what you're getting...but a lot of places seem to be in the same range now. The Chipolte bbq sauce is mild and pretty good without too much heat. I guess if I want a really good burger I'm still inclined to go to Wendy's ... but if you're here for the beer I have to say they have a fabulous selection...Lots of great choices... read more

My husband has been trying to get me to Cunningham's for a while. He says they have the best wings in town. I was expecting typical sports bar-quality food. But I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the fish and chips. Instead of the heavy, deep fried version I was served a lightly-breaded whole filet with perfect fries, coleslaw, and spicy tartar sauce. It was amazing. I did try a wing and it was as good as my husband had claimed. The buffalo sauce was charred into the meat, giving it a smoky flavor. And I couldn't get enough of the addictive wasabi ranch dipping sauce. All of the employees were polite and attentive. The bathroom was clean. The price was right. Date of most recent visit: Groundhog Day. This is important, because on this day, Cunningham's was offering a large number of wonderful barrel-aged beers. I certainly had my fill of the lot (and at price points that were extremely reasonable,) but also want to praise the kitchen for its food quality. On this visit and my previous stop-in, the food has shown to be quite above what you would normally expect from a sports bar or neighborhood establishment. I did also notice that there was a SuperBuffet scheduled for the Super Bowl event, and it looked like a great spread. It was HUGE and it was delicious! My father in law had the chicken wings and he loved them! His co-worker had the pulled pork sliders. She said they were a bit too messy for her, and said they were ok. I thought they looked very tasty. My husband had a Philly cheesesteak that he said was ok. But, we would definitely come back here! Lots of TVs with sports playing, but also had a couple TVs with classic movies. So, while others watched sports, I was able to watch Jaws. I could say so much about Cunningham's! I've been here quite a few times and it's one of my favorite places to eat. Most recently I order the Blackened Chicken sandwich and let me tell you that the flavor is just an explosion in your mouth. I usually get the fries as a side because they are very good and have a great crunch and season to them. They have great wings too and I would definitely try the PB&J wings. It's just something different and has a very unique taste. When it comes to the beer selection I just love that they have over 20 plus beers on tap. Went here recently while in Omaha for work. Amazing craft beer selection, that you wouldn't necessarily expect from them on the outside. I tried a mango habanero beer from Michigan that was just the right amount of mango, heat, and hops. They had several other beers I was able to try for the first time. Prices for these were reasonable as well. Food is extremely reasonable and pretty delicious. I tried the Philly cheesesteak with the Guinness beef stew as my side, which ended up being about $12. The Philly was pretty good and plentiful with meat, onions, green peppers, and mushrooms. They use their special beer cheese sauce instead of the typical Swiss cheese, which provided an interesting twist on this classic option. The soup was okay, had hearty chucks of stew and potatoes, but was a little bland for me (I'm a soup snob). Atmosphere was very chill-casual sports bar look and great service. Despite it being fairly packed, our server was never too far off and made sure our tickets were divided up appropriately (as we had a big group). They have smoked wings on their menu that I was very tempted to try, and if I ever make it back, that's what I will do. read more

Only three parties were there and we still had to wait around 10-15 mins before the server took our order. It also took about 5-10 minutes to get one Coke to our table. The "jumbo" mozzarella sticks were small and they justified it by saying they cut the cheese in half so more gets fried. So you're really only getting 2-3 sticks for $7. The cheese was also completely outside of the breading and the breading was soggy. The spicy chicken sandwich had an okay flavor until I saw the very suspicious looking/colored chicken. At the suggestion of someone in our hotel we decided to give Cunningham's at try. Turns out they have lots of beer on tap, I'm in love. Beer from everywhere not the usual domestics. Those they leave in the bottle or can your choice. I enjoyed a Hefe Weizen from Germany and it's reminded me of the old country. Started with the smoked chicken wings served several different ways. I enjoyed the buffalo variety. They were marvelous, smoked to perfection and their buffalo sauce had a great balance of flavor and heat. Grilled to give the skin a nice crunch. For dinner I decided on the Ruben. If you've read any other reviews by me you know I'm on a perpetual prowl for the worlds best Ruben. It's not here, don't get me wrong their homemade thousand island dressing is great it's just a bit over whelming with the shredded corned beef all blended together. This is one of those sandwiched that should have sliced corned beef. I didn't really taste the sauerkraut. I could see it, but it lacked flavor. Instead of fry's a asked if I could get a cup of their Guinness braised beef stew. WOW! It's a must try. We were in a larger group and everyone loved their food so I'll be back. A little late getting caught on on reviews and this is an older one but I can still vividly remember Cunningham's. There is some wonderful when one can find good bar food in a bar/pub and grill; when the food is transformed into a level beyond "bar food", the experience is very magical. The smoked wings were amazing and MUCH better than most deep fried - I can only think of one or 2 places in town that can compete. I also at the brats bites - PERFECT size, great flavor, well presented and just that extra level to detail that separate Cunningham's from others in the category. Unfortunately their location is terrible and it is not one of those places you ever really see in passing. It has a very dim lit sports bar feel and there are tv's everywhere. The wings are big in size and flavor and also smoked and finished on the grill. That's right... Not fried! 6 wings for 5 bucks on Sunday's (happy hour all day) and dollar off beers. I'll take that. Five of us shared 48 wings on a summer Monday evening. The Four Alarm was my favorite. Better than BWW, not as good as Oscar's. I like hot but not killer hot and these delivered.
