This cute food truck had so many items I want to go back again for. During my trip to Maui this time I caught some cold and was really looking for some spicy noodle soup kind of dishes and this one had the perfect one I needed. I have to bookmark this place again because they had more noodles I want to try with my next visit to the place. While I ordered a Miki Saimin dish, they made sure I understood that it had pork in it which I was ok with, so they were very helpful with taking care of any misunderstandings on their menu. Definitely a must try and will for sure be back.

This was the last food truck park we hit up for our Maui trip. We tried their dessert Halo Halo, which we had for the first time. Their poster on the truck made it sound good and thought the price was comparable so we decided to get it. The lady was nice and there are tables in the middle you can sit down to enjoy your food. Halo Halo is pretty much Filipino shaved ice. It comes with multiple ingredients. Ours had ube and coconut ice cream with some colorful jellies. There were also sweet potato chunks and some cantaloupe shreds. We enjoyed it, ending the day on a sweet note. Would be interested in trying their other offerings if we ever came back.

Found this place while looking at food trucks. Everything on the menu looked so good and comforting we had to stop. We ordered a Pork & Veggie Lumpia, Braised Short Ribs, and the Dry Mein. Food came out hot and quick. Portions were very big. Lumpia was crispy and filled well. The Braised Short Ribs were so tender and was a very heavy meal. The Dry Mein noodles were cooked perfectly and also had Braised Short Ribs on it. Very good flavor on everything. Worth checking out if you're looking for a good meal and don't want to break the bank.

Excellent dry mein!! The short rib was a fall apart tender. The bean sprouts gave it a nice crunch and freshness. It hit the spot after a day of water activities. Vidad's is nestled in a food truck lot, A a convenient stop in Kihei. Would've tried more if it wasn't so windy. Easy parking lot on top of gravel. There's plastic foldout seating in the center. Also so important to note, this place is affordable! $13 for a box of noodles. So excited to find this stop in the south side of Maui.

Amazing food as always at Vidad's. Their palabok is my favorite, with the pork adobo being my second favorite. The palabok is savory and comforting while the pork adobo has a rich taste with ample gravy and a strong peppercorn flavor with the perfect ratio of gravy/meat to rice. Their prices are super reasonable too with good portion sizes. Will definitely return to get my Filipino food fix!

I was craving banana lumpia but they had run out. So I decided to have a halo halo. I ordered a deluxe. iI was delicious and all that I expected for my first time. I also bought a passion fruit. I will definitely come back for that lumpia before my vacation here in Maui is over.

Went to Vidad's for dinner last night. Unfortunately did not enjoy the meal as much as we had hoped. Both dishes Kiwali and Sweet chili chicken were extremely dry and lacked a lot of flavor. Both dishes had great crunch factor but the flavors were lacking. Rice was cooked great - not mushy or hard. Good value for the meals - only $33 with taxes. Service was not the best - had to yell our orders several times before they understood. They were also out of lumpia which was disappointing but we did go toward the end of the night. Great food cart area though with seating and lights and lots of other carts around for options.

If you want Filipino comfort food, go to Vidad's. The pork adobo over adobo fried rice is a heavy meal, but reminiscent of eating from an Aunty's kitchen. We also opted for the mochiko chicken, and subbed the base with garlic noodles. Chicken was cooked to perfection, but I felt the noodles could have used more flavor (more garlic, some parmesan, and nah e even some fish sauce). There's a handful of other trucks in the lot as well as a few picnic benches to enjoy your meal. Vidad's menu stood out the most and also seemed like the best value.

They stopped by for Mango Fest in Wailuku Food Trucks recently and my friends got to try some of their foods/snacks and it was really good! Definitely enjoyed their specialty Mango Sticky Rice Lumpia they had for that day, and I'm hoping to visit them at their location in Kihei - Miguel Morales Photography

    Hurricane chicken with adobo rice

It was one single dish from that truck, but it was an AMAZING flavor bomb. Got the hurricane chicken bowl with the adobo rice. What a good and delightful surprise. Crispy, tasty corn starch fried chicken, hurricane sauce full of flavor and a little spice, and this adobo rice... the little bits of pork in that rice. Wow :-) one the best dish i ate on this Maui trip. On top of that, very good bang for the buck with the amount of food you get for a reasonable price. The overall truck park had very good options too. The setup is not the greatest but parking is easy and there is shaded tables. Food came in a reasonable amount of time but it was that busy either...

Oh my, what a delightful surprise this food truck was. Nestled amongst a half-dozen we opted for them and ordered the #1 braised short rib bowl... primarily because it's one of my absolute favorite meats. It was tender, delicious, lean, and plentiful... a home freakin run. Wished we could've hit it one more time!

They serve the food family-style but still high-end which was exactly what we were going for so we were not disappointed. Cocktails were great and the vibes in the evening are very nice for a more upscale night out. Food came out a little slower than expected and by the time our Korean fried chicken main course came out we were almost full and had to take it togo. But everything was really good regardless, my favorite being the mushroom salad even though it was a little difficult to chop up since they give it to you as a whole head of butter lettuce. The restaurant itself is quite tiny with limited indoor seating, bar seating, and a stretch of patio seating. We were seated at the bar and had two various experiences with the two bartenders that were looking after us - the gentleman who was the bartender was extremely kind and attentive. He was engaging and made small talk with us. The female bartender was quite rude and cold, and I debated removing a star for her poor attitude and service skills. Service aside, my husband and I decided to try a few different items, including the Szechuan garlic noodles, pickled cucumbers, aji tamago, and Lion's Mane salad. All four dishes had wonderful flavor and were the perfect amount to share and leave full without being overwhelmed. I appreciated the freshness of the ingredients and the variety of spice. All in all, it was a tasty meal, but they definitely need to work on their consistency with employee service.

I was immediately intrigued by the calamansi pork -- an item I had never seen it on a menu before. One bite and I was hooked. The pork was tender and flavorful, and the bright, citrusy calamansi added a unique tang that made the dish completely unforgettable. It was so good that I'm still thinking about it after coming home. We also tried the pancit noodles, pork sisig, and mochiko chicken, and every dish was excellent. The pancit was packed with flavor, the sisig was gelatinous (fir those who are into it), and the mochiko chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and impossible to stop eating. For my first visit to Maui and my first time trying Da Soriano Grindz, this food truck set the bar incredibly high. If you're visiting Maui and want amazing Filipino food that's a little different from what you'll find elsewhere, don't skip this spot. The calamansi pork alone is worth the trip.

BEST FILIPINO FOOD ON THE ISLAND!…read more During my 1 week stay at Maui I probably came here about 5 times. I went here right after getting off the airport to get some quick comfort food before checking in to my stay in Kīhei and Tagpuan happened to be on the way. I ordered the chicken Inasal and pork lumpia and from those two simple dishes I could tell that this place was legit. IMO that inasal's definitely better than Mang Inasal back in PI and much better than the Inasal I've had in the Bay Area so hopefully that hypes it up enough. Kept coming back almost every single day till I left to go back to the mainland. In that time I also had the grilled liempo (pork belly), crispy pork belly, and longanisa sliders - all excellent dishes. Really love the sauce selections they use for their dishes too - pretty good balance of acid to cut the fat making the dishes feel not too heavy. The food truck is currently nestled in what seems to be an auto shop lot. There's a nice clean bathroom access via the auto shop near the food truck itself. Lots of parking, a few benches to eat at, and of course, really good food. The couple that run Tagpuan are incredibly kind and hard working people. If there is a line, the wait can be lengthy. One day she took my number and texted me when our table was ready (and I killed time at the lobby shops and artisan stands while my husband enjoyed the open air lobby views). The staff are kind, friendly and even offered area activity recommendations. The ocean view is incredible-- it can be enjoyed best on the patio, and from many of the indoor tables. The buffet includes unlimited coffee, tea, juices (love the POG juice), coke products (you can ask for a to go cup on your way out! I recommend asking for ice)-- as well as a made to order omelet. Humble Market Kitchen feels like a restaurant that knows it has a captive audience and has stopped trying very hard. The food was uninspired, generic, and significantly overpriced for what was delivered. Nothing was particularly bad, but almost nothing was memorable either. Breakfast was especially underwhelming. Skip the buffet. The eggs were watery and soupy, and the "Hawaiian sausage" turned out to be little more than sliced hot dogs. For a resort of this caliber in a destination known for incredible food, it felt surprisingly low effort. Service was probably the strongest part of the experience, but even that was average at best. I'd call it a 6 out of 10. Friendly enough, but not the level of hospitality you'd expect given the prices and setting. The disconnect is especially noticeable because the Wailea Beach Resort itself is fantastic. We genuinely loved our stay and would absolutely return to the property. That's what makes the restaurant so disappointing. It feels like a business operating inside a great resort rather than an extension of the resort experience. If you're staying at the Wailea Beach Resort, do yourself a favor and explore the many excellent dining options around Wailea instead. Maui has too many great restaurants to spend your vacation settling for this one.

The parking lot was almost full but we managed to find a spot by the front door. The line was pretty long but it moved fast. There are several friendly ladies behind the counter that quickly served up your plate. Most of the entrees had signs on them. They have such a nice spread to choose from. Prices are reasonable & they don't skimp on the quantity. I had a 2-entree plate for $15.99. 1 entree is $10.99, 3-entree is $19.99. All plates come with rice or pancit, or you can do half & half. I got the half & half with pork adobo & teriyaki chicken. The plate was yummy The pancit had 2 different noodles, the clear & the regular pancit noodles. There was an ample amount of veggies and shiitake mushrooms. The pork adobo had good flavor & well seasoned. Not too many fatty pieces & very tender. It didn't have as much as a vinergry taste but still was good. The teriyaki chicken was well flavored with a little sweetness, not overly dry, tasty as well. There was so much food, it's definitely a shareable plate or leftovers for a couple of days. They also have several soups & the entrees can be purchased a la carte. Overall, this place is worth going to. Don't let the long line fool you. Wow. My husband missed out as he waited in the car, he could have grab all his favorites Filipino goods! I looked around and browsed the grocery products before I get to the hot food/take out selection as I know I will be buying me some foods. What I like about Paradise Supermart is the items are organized, there are tons of products. What I don't like is most items has no prices or sign, even the produce. It will have to be a surprise or ask at the register. The prices are on high side but hey we need Filipino goods no matter the cost. The huge bag of wing bean caught my eyes, never seen them grown so huge before, no prices, when I ask the staff, it was $6.99! Pricey, on Oahu they cost $2-$3 per bag. The hot food selection, wow! This is my favorites! So many selections to choose from and even desserts galore! I got the 1 entree plate to try $9.99, for 2 items = $14.99, the difference in entree choices is $5. kinda steep. I wanted to try the chicken adobo and noodles. If the food is good, I would be back for my Filipino fix on Maui. Also got banana lumpia and a huge piece of the fried pork belly. We ate the food that night when we got back to Oahu and the verdict, chicken thighs were used which chicken wasn't tender, more hard to chew. I never tried adobo in thighs before & missing the adobo sauce, I like to add that to my rice. The noodles were good, I like that it comes with mix of canton and bihon noodles, just how my in-laws would make it. The fried roast pork, I loved! I will be back for more of this fried crispy goodness, I chopped the pork in to pieces and saved in freezer to use in my Sari Sari soup or add to ramen noodles. All in all, despite the chicken adobo, Paradise Supermart is a great place for all your Filipino goods, sweets, grocery stop, here on Maui!! & Oh., BTW if you wanted to enjoy the Filipino foods right away, there are few tables too .
