Great little coffee shop with a good selection of cold & hot drinks and pastries & snacks Could not decide so asked for suggestions and I'm so glad I did -the pistachio matcha served hot was perfect- it was yummy and highly suggested! It's smooth and tasty! We'll return to try other menu shops - great parking - help staff - clean and well decorated.

We came on a busy Sunday morning but the owner was super friendly and the service was pretty fast given she was the only one making all the coffee orders. We got the Pistachio Matcha tea, Nothing "Beets" Mushrooms tea, and a White Espresso Latte. The Pistachio Matcha wasn't sweet which is a plus since matcha isn't supposed to be overtly sweet. The beet mushroom tea was so good. Highlight recommend that one and the white espresso latte. It was a naturally sweeter latte with the white espresso blend and hint of vanilla.

Such a great place with recently an expanded site and services!!! AJ makes a mean Americano and Latte in the morning, and our son is quickly becoming the Cupla macaroon aficionado. Afternoons are just as great, as they have drinks and food. I love their espresso martini (I rotate between vodka or dark rum, and the affogato is my favorite dessert! We've spent mornings on the patio and the inside is spacious and incredibly clean. They allow furry friends to hang out and provide treats.

Service: I waited 35 minutes for two donuts and two ham and cheese croissants, and there were only 4 other people in there. They were also EXTREMELY RUDE! When I asked what kind of donuts they had, the lady said "I don't know! Assorted! Can't you SEE them all in that glass case?! I don't know them all off the top of my head!" I apologized to her and said "chocolate and old fashioned please". And then she gave me the wrong donuts Food: the donuts honestly tasted like 7/11 donuts, and the croissants were burned, and used Kraft single cheese (ew). And they were $10.50! Overall. Not impressed. Won't be going back.

My friend Justine and I stopped by after attempting to hike Bells Canyon a few weeks ago. What a cute, cozy place! I love the inviting space when you walk in. It could possibly get a little tight, but it's a very nice space. The staff is nice and helpful. I went with a Cortado. I wanted pastries, but opted against it. Would come back again.

We grabbed some choice drinks - rose matcha latte, turmeric chai latte, and a cup of cold brew - for our breakfast to go before our morning hike. While the friendly owner made our drinks, she chatted with us and gave some free treats to the doggies, which made the entire experience much more neighborly. Plus the indoor space is clean & comfortable. I enjoyed my drink, cold and seasoned, without too much sweet. There's plenty of other specials to keep things interesting too. Great place for treat yourself beverages.

    Dirty floor at 10am

The girl taking the order was spaced out, making one mistake after another. She acted entitled and said out loud, "What? I stayed up until 3am!" The chai was lukewarm and tasted like sugar with no flavor. I asked to heat my croissant but they burned it. The floor was super dirty with tons of debris. Yuck. Not coming back. Don't understand why they got 4.5 star on Google Review.

I came to CUPLA about 15 minutes before closing, and the barista was still sweet enough to make me a coffee, she also recommended some restaurants for me to try in SLC, as I was visiting the area! The ambience of this place is so cute and aesthetic, and seemed like a great place to get some work done. They also had outdoor seating, which would be nice to enjoy with some friends on a nice day! I got the iced lavender latte with oat milk. I think the coffee was good but nothing spectacular. My coffee was a little bit on the sweeter side and heavier on the syrup than I usually like my coffee, but that's just preferences :) If you are looking for a cute coffee shop in the city though, I would definitely recommend to try out CUPLA! They also had pastries and food options to check out!

Cookie Monster and white chocolate raspberry muffin

I can't believe it's been a whole year since I first discovered Cupla - but this chilly, rainy day had me craving a delicious cup of coffee and a tasty treat. There's plenty of seating in here, bar seating around the windows and near the pastry counter, a table in the corner, a cozy couch and coffee table, and chairs and tables outside. The lady I spoke with gave me the wifi password and had no problem with me lingering for a while with my portable work station. The service is so friendly and genuine, I am under the impression I was speaking with one of the owners. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant sandwich, a Cookie Monster coffee, and a raspberry white chocolate muffin. They all came out fast, hot, and absolutely delicious. The muffin had a crumbly scone texture, maybe even a cornbread flavor - it was really good. I was thankful it wasn't overly sweet. Many of the pastries here are keto or gluten free, I suspect the same for my muffin. I notice there's a new pasty display, a bit smaller than the last time I was here. Hopefully their delightful citrus bars are still on the menu at some point during the year, they're to die for. For the middle of a week day it was quiet, but 1 or two people were always on their way in or out. Nice music, the environment is peaceful. And bonus points for incredible location. Next to the Smith's, a as station, and a beautiful view of the mountains (when they aren't obscured by smoke or rain clouds). Cupla's a keeper!

    Beautiful wood wall!

I moved to town just as the shop closed and have been looking forward to its opening. This location opened a few days ago, so I treated myself today. I ordered an ice-blended matcha, which was delish! To compare it with a popular alternative at SBUX, it was definitely more enjoyable. The recipe included pistachio, which complemented the matcha, and it was less icy than most ice-blended drinks, which I appreciate. Last, it was served in a real glass--it's the small touches that add up : ) The California Toast--a rendition of smashed avocado toast--had plenty of greens, two ripe, tasty tomato slices on top, and a pinch of something spicy (perhaps crushed red pepper). The remodeling was tastefully done (see pics). I loved the wood wall and, as someone who orders hand foods, I appreciate that the sink faucet was far enough from the bowl to allow me to wash my hands without rubbing them against the bowl (this seems minor, but it's something overlooked by most cafes.) The WiFi needs a little work. My computer disconnected for seconds to a minute at a time. The speed was okay but not great (16Mbps down/5Mbps up), but the disconnecting made working with web apps challenging. Overall, I feel fortunate to have such an option close to home. Now I won't have to drive 20 minutes R/T to visit a quality coffee shop.

Currently undergoing remodeling for the Cottonwood Heights location so call before heading down or up if you're coming from somewhere further. Hopefully it will re open soon for business!

I literally love this place. Everyone is above and beyond and helps out so much. I love how the owners are there helping make the coffee too. It's a hands on experience and I loved it. I got their famous cinnamon rolls and a vanilla latte. I loved the vibe of the place it was giving cozy cabin. Would for sure recommend!!

We were quoted a 10-15 minute wait despite there being multiple open tables everywhere, which already set the tone. The person at the front also seemed like greeting guests was a personal inconvenience. Not exactly the warm welcome you'd expect from a place trying this hard to look aesthetic. To make things worse, several pastries sitting in the front display were visibly burnt. Not "artisan charred" -- just burnt. The pastries we ordered were actually good, which makes the rest of the menu even more disappointing. We tried the soft scramble, pork cheek tartine, truffle tartine, and mushroom fettuccine. Everything looked beautiful but tasted either burnt, bland, or both. Every toast item arrived burnt enough that you could taste it in every bite. Our server came by often to refill waters and check on us, but the service somehow still felt oddly impersonal. Since the restaurant wasn't busy at all, it also made us wonder how attentive the service would be during an actual rush. Honestly, this place feels more focused on looking trendy than serving good food. Stick to the pastries if you go -- it's the only thing worth ordering.

Their fruit-shaped creations are little works of art--so realistic it almost feels wrong to eat them... almost. Each pastry is fresh, light, and packed with flavor. The pistachio was incredibly tasty, though definitely on the richer side, so it's one you might want to savor slowly. The raspberry had a beautifully balanced sweetness with a vibrant, delicious filling. The lemon was very zingy--almost intensely so--but still delightful if you enjoy bold citrus flavors (just maybe not an entire one in a single sitting). The standout, though, was the mango. Easily the winner. It had such a bright, powerful flavor, and the fresh mango inside made every bite feel special. Everything about it--from taste to presentation--was just beautiful. The only slight letdown was the macarons. While still good, they didn't quite match the intensity and uniqueness of the pastries and felt a bit underwhelming in comparison. Overall, this place is a must-visit if you appreciate creative, high-quality desserts. It's clear a lot of skill and care goes into every piece. I loved the building that the pastry shop was in, as it had a "lunch room" feel to it. There are a few restaurants inside so there are options and there's plenty of seating.
