Stopped here to study for a bit and got super lucky and found a parking spot right out in front! Service here was great, staff was engaging and our orders were out quickly, despite it being pretty busy when we got there around 1:30p. We lucked out a second time when we got a seat in the back right as people were getting up to leave! I got the Blue Moon Mojito and Aidan got the Tiramisu Mocha. I really liked the mojito, it had plenty of fizz and a nice raspberry/lime flavor combination. I would recommend getting this to anyone who is a berry refresher fan- nice and sweet! Aidan loved his drink as well and said it was in the top 10 coffee drinks he's ever had. We also came hungry and got the BBQ chicken flatbread. The chicken was pretty dry on it, so I did go up and ask for some more BBQ sauce and they were nice enough to give me that and some chimichurri sauce to try. When we ordered, we asked what came on the Flatbread and they had told us there was lettuce, tomato paste, chimichurri sauce, and BBQ, but looked through the whole thing and couldn't find the sauce. Along with the dryness, the dish itself had some spice to it, so I will probably get something else next time. Besides being busy when we arrived, it slowed down around 3p and made for a peaceful place to do work. We did notice our table was pretty wobbly which Aidan thinks is worth a mention because it made it more challenging to study, but overall, the vibe was clean, bright, and had plenty of comfortable chairs. read more

We went to this place after our dinner. My friend had recommended it as she'd come here quite often since she recently lived to Ann Arbor. This place is considered an Asian chai place and it was absolutely delicious. New spot right by chimney cakes! I love chai and am happy to see cupsnchai expand from Canton to downtown Ann Arbor! They tout themselves as a "A South Asian Chai Cafe, with a Modern Twist." They have sooo many chai option and I ended up going with the Zafrani Chai which is the saffron chai. Super unique. A little on the sweet side for me so I'll ask for adjustments next time on sweetness. I'll probably just order the classic Karak as well. Service was fast, friendly and patient with my wide eyes as I tried to decide haha. My friend did also order the Peri Peri chicken wrap which looked tasty but was a fairly small portion. Another friend also tried the Double Chocolate Cake (Chocolate dream cake with layers of decadent chocolate cake with velvety chocolate mousse and luscious chocolate ganache.) which he found too dark chocolate for his liking but I could see how this would pair perfectly with tea! read more

Love that they are open until 12 AM such a rarity these days. it was popping inside, even though it was almost 11 PM, but love to see local business businesses being supported. Will definitely be coming back for the vanilla latte. unfortunately, my friend had a Matcha and it was subpar so maybe stick to the coffee. they're also weren't any seats, but I don't know what you could do to resolve that. look forward to seeing them maybe implement a new Matcha recipe. update: the employees were super, super sweet, and they offered to remake my friends Matcha without her even asking. don't try the cinnamon Matcha go for something else. Friendly professional staff is accommodating to first time visitors making suggestions and allowing a small sample to narrow down the fantastic choices of Chai latte. We met the owner Noman and he is passionate about both his business and product quality. We had tiramisu and bon bon chai lattes. Both were excellent and the vanilla taster was equally desirable. Me and 2 of my friends went to cupsnchai after seeing it on tik tok and I was very disappointed. The space was very crowded and there wasn't anywhere to sit, which wasn't necessary their fault, however, they were acting very pushy. Ensuring us a table would open up in 5-10 minutes when how would they know that?! The chai was also decent but very milky and underwhelming. I adore this place. It met all my expectations. I was offered 2 delicious samples of their chai, the Amore and the Masala. As expected, Masala was spicier and Amore a warm vanilla hug. The owner also kindly made suggestions for wraps I could try. I had the spicy chutney and he was absolutely right. I love spicy, green chutney. The ambience is terrific. The decor is light, bright and beautify. You can see from the photos it's a classy combination of white and gold, with neutral taupe, distressed velvet chairs and light green velvet benches. If you come here, please keep it pristine so we can continue to enjoy the lovely decor. Also, if you have any interest in medicine, I saw a sign for a physician networking event hosted here. Hahaha! CupsnChai is a new coffee shop in downtown Ann Arbor and a welcome addition to the food scene. It is marketed as a chai cafe and that is certainly accurate. I have never seen so many varieties of chai lattes in one space. The staff happily offered me a sample of three different choices for me to pick from. I was surprised at how distinct each one tasted. I ended up going with the Karak chai and it was absolutely delicious! I drink chai latte quite often and this one was certainly up there with some of the best I've had. In addition to the wonderful chai menu, there is a selection of Indian (and Indian-inspired) snacks. These mostly consist of breakfast sandwiches and small wraps. Nothing here is really what you would consider a full meal size, so if you are very hungry, you may need to get more than one food option. I got the manchurian fire wrap. This was mostly potatoes and onions cooked in Indian spices and put into a wrap. It was small, but very tasty! I would order it again for sure. I also sampled several of their dessert options. I really liked the gulab jamun cheesecake. It was unlike anything I've ever had before and would definitely recommend giving it a try. The space itself is pretty small. There's probably only about a dozen tables. I was there in the morning on a Monday and it was mostly full. So I could see it being quite busy on the weekends. However, the space was nice, clean, and comfortable. I will absolutely be returning to CupsnChai in the future. read more

Ordered online for pick up. Ran an errand. Arrived and sent my son in to pick it up. They told him someone came in and asked for our order by name and left with our food (?). How is this possible? We had to wait for about 15 or so minutes while they remade and then got home to two teeny wraps- about 4.5 inches long. I looked up this place the other day as I was trying to find a place to work from home. I entered and I was greeted with a friendly front desk person who made nice and genuine small talk as I skimmed the menu. I was amazed by the large selection they had when it came to various chai's, espresso's and delighted when I saw there was an option for samosas as a little savory treat. I ordered the Tiramisu Chai as well as the samosas and as I sat down in the cozy cafe that is well equipped with charges and a comfortable booth, I was also offered a few free samples one of which was mango lassi which was very yummy and and an espresso drink that I will be ordering the next time I come in to work from home.
