When I called to make my appointment for Botox, they did not mention that they had moved, nor was there any mention of it in their appointment confirmation texts. So I ended up going to their old location. Since I had just been there in April at their old location, you would think they would be make sure they reiterated that they moved so patients do not show up at the old location. Even their website has their old address on the bottom. They moved to downtown Lake Oswego and I was expecting something similar to the big, professional-looking location they had before on Meadows Rd. - WRONG!! Although their building is right on the Lake, the building itself is old and run-down. The parking there is horrible - the underground parking is small and hard to get in and out of. The office is located in the bottom floor. I was SHOCKED how small and unprofessional everything looked. There was no nice reception area. The reception area, waiting area, and payment areas were all in the same very small room. The reception and payment desks looked like hand-me-down desks and there was a storage room right next to the payment area that was messy and wide open. I got the feeling they were starting their practice from scratch and it looked like they found the cheapest place to rent. The two treatment areas only had hospital curtains to separate from the reception room. The treatment room itself had little equipment and the desk looked like it was picked up from GoodWill. When I sat down, they told me I needed to fill out new paperwork (even though I had just filled out new papers 6 months prior). They said that with the move, some of their records were in storage and the person that was in charge of the files didn't double check which ones to move over. Sounded like a HUGE excuse to me. You would think they would go get my file out of storage since they knew in advance I was coming. So they had NONE of my records. I went in the treatment room and the gal asked me what I was in for. I said Botox. She immediately started rattling off 2 additional different types of injection brands, and then said, "do any of those seem like something you want to go with?" I felt like she was really wanting me to switch to something different than the regular Botox I had been getting and I felt like she was a salesperson just trying to get more business. I told her I would stick to the Botox and I expressed my concern they didn't know how many units I usually get because they didn't have my records. She took a guess and I felt uneasy because I usually get less units than most people and it seemed like she was pushing for more (aka more money). I told her how much I usually paid and she left the room and when she came back she said that one of their people looked up how much I paid before and readjusted my unit numbers to the lesser unit amounts ( I still ended up paying more). I really should have left but I was leaving out of town and the numbers felt closer to what I usually get so I proceeded. Dr. Darm did the injection. I have NEVER had him do it before. First of all he introduced himself and shook my hand. Then he leaned me back - I mentioned that I had never been leaned back in any other treatments I had gotten and he said that is how he likes to do it. So he did the injections and he put one injection under each of my eyes in the fat pads! There are no muscles there and so I just ended up with two huge bruises. I have NEVER had injections in that area. Even the way he put gauze over the injection sites afterwards was haphazard. He ended up shoving part of the gauze in my eye! He then told me that because I had come all the way to the new location, he was going to "give" me a free skin treatment to help with the lines around my chin and mouth. Sounded good until he left the room and the gal told me about the procedure and said it takes about 12 treatments at a price of $2,000 (but she said it came down from $3,000). I guess they offer a "free" treatment so you sign up and are on the hook for more $$. The whole experience was terrible and not at all like it had been in the past. The office staff looked bare-bones and I have been looking to see if I can figure out why they moved and downgraded their practice so much. I was very disappointed with my experience and I will NEVER go back.
