I bought a 2013 Hyundai Genesis 5.0 R- Spec which I overpaid for. Before we drove the vehicle off the lot the parking brake wouldn't go off so we had to leave the vehicle there for three days after purchasing it got it back through this later when I was in Arizona my daughter drove it couple days later she noticed little issues like there was smoke coming from the exhaust the car and act like it didn't want to start and then a week after that the alternator went out and then the battery went out and the oil wasn't changed it was super black we didn't have the car two weeks it was broke down. I bought a used Toyota Solara from this dealership on June 1st, 2025. I was told the car had been inspected by their in-house mechanic and had no issues, or at least none they were aware of. Since it's an older vehicle, I wasn't expecting perfection, but I did expect it to be safe to drive. Just four days later, I took it for a third-party inspection. What my mechanic found was not just disappointing, it was dangerous: * No functioning brakes -- no brake pads at all, and the rotors were worn way below safety speak * Slipping transmission with black fluid and large metal debris * Severely leaking radiator * Leaking oil pan gasket * Worn suspension (control arms and sway bar links) * Completely missing window regulator and motor on the driver's side -- the glass was held up by a single screw The mechanic literally asked how I made it to his shop alive. He said any competent technician would have caught these obvious issues. Which means either their in-house mechanic was incompetent, or the dealership knowingly sold me a dangerous vehicle. I accept that it was naive to trust the salesperson without getting my own inspection first -- but this goes beyond optimism. This was negligent and potentially criminal. They let this car onto Washington public roads for test drives, fully aware that it was unsafe. Someone could have been killed. When I raised the issue with Steve Guiberson, who said he was part of management, he questioned why I didn't tow the car back to them for repairs. I may be naïve, but I'm not stupid. I wouldn't trust the same people who sold me a deathtrap to fix it, how am I supposed to have faith in your business after you let this vehicle leave your lot in such a condition. Unless you have the time, money, and skills to completely rehab a used car, avoid this dealership at all costs. And if you still consider buying from them, get a third-party inspection before you even test drive, because they clearly don't disclose critical safety issues. read more

We met Kevin who greeted us and showed us a great variety of cars that were realistic to my budget, while also having all the luxury components I was looking for. He made us feel taken care of by searching for the perfect car for me. I'm glad I didn't read the reviews before buying because I got a great deal on my new car. Everyone I worked with was great. This is a buyer beware state. No matter what used car lot you go to the law will always be the same. I wrote into my deal before signing that it was subject to a mechanic of my own looking over the car or the whole deal would be scrapped. Our sales guy was new so we worked with David to finalize the deal (the general manager). Both guys were very professional and David showed me the computer which he generated the numbers for the offer on. As someone familiar with the car industry I was able to read that screen and know exactly how much profit they were making. It was about $500 profit. Which is a super generous deal! We signed and the next morning I took the car to my brothers mechanic shop. He gave the car a raving review. My brother said I couldn't find a better used car- it was beautifully taken care of and mechanically it's perfect. I had a trade in which they gave me a great price for. They worked the deal sight unseen for my trade and I didn't deliver my trade in car for several days because I had to work. They worked with me and were great. Overall- I'd recommend anyone go here. I had a brilliant experience and am now enjoying getting to see this beautiful car in my driveway! Teresa doubled booked my appointment and apparently sold the car she said she "just got in" weeks ago. I commuted 45 minutes for no reason. Highly unreccomended. It seems apparent Teresa knew she didn't have the car I specifically wanted and swindled me into driving out to Lakewood anyways. Update: turns out the car was there and Teresa said if I came back I would be pleased with my purchase. Teresa said it was such a great deal because it was a one owner vehicle. The one owner was apparently a rental agency.Teresa said she had the car detailed and it wasn't.The inside door panels were dirty, the center console, the inside of the trunk wasn't even vacuumed. I thought I was going to see a nice car. Instead I saw a dirty dinged up rental. Still highly unrecommended. Thanks for wasting my time curbside! 7/21/17 Looking for a 1996-2006 Jeep Wrangler. They had one out on the curb that caught my eye. No price, but it's in pretty good shape visually so I decide to test drive. The salesperson is quite helpful. Test drive pans out, I decide to see how much they want for it. 2003 Jeep Wrangler Sport with 121K in good shape, but has some issues - minor oil leak from head gasket, fog light is snapped off and dangling, light rust on CV, mystery fresh glass shards under carpet (at least not as old as the rusty paperclip). I ask for the CarFax. I get a knockoff version called AutoCheck - Which, Edmunds.com comments "In our checks, AutoCheck's data was less comprehensive and detailed than Carfax's. For example: We ran a report on a 2015 Kia Optima with a salvage title. AutoCheck showed that it had two owners. Carfax listed three owners and caught an accident that hadn't appeared on the AutoCheck report." I bought three cars from Curbside Motors in Tacoma Within 5 months. The first was a Volkswagen beetle that I purchased. The reason I purchased a car in the first place was because my car was involved in a hit snd run while parked in South 48th Street and totaled at night time. The next day I actually took a taxi to my job and then went to curbside Motors afterwards to buy another car. I had found a Volkswagen Beetle that I was interested in that looked very cute and I purchased it. I had it for all of one day and got in the car the following morning to go to work and it didn't start. I had to borrow my landlord's car to get to work that day. I contacted Curbside Motors and came back to talk to them about the car. They actually had picked up the car while I was working towed it back to their premises and let me get into a different car with no questions. I bought a 2012 Nissan Sentra for my next purchase. Once I signed the paper and went to the car to take it home it didn't start. Yhe battery was dead I thought. It also had codes on the dashboard showing some kind of emissions problem . They kind of blew it off and said it was nothing important and to disregard what I saw. It seemed normal at the time. I thought it had just been sitting on the lot for a little while. The dealership charged the battery and I purchased the car. Unfortunately, the next morning, I got in my car to go to work and it didn't turn on at all. I borrowed my landlord's car to get to work and then contacted the dealership once they opened that day I told them the situation They came and picked up the Volkswagen and brought it back to the dealership this was the second car I purchased from them at this time. I went back to their dealership that evening and expressed to them this is a problem. I work 7 days a week as a nurse assistant home care aide person. I work everyday and rely on the car to take care of my clients and I need a reliable car. I drove to the dealership and told them I need a reliable car. They let me drive a 2012 Nissan Sentra when I first picked up that car if it didn't work, they had to charge the battery and I was okay with that thinking that was normal because it has been sitting on the lot. I kept the car for 5 months and in that time it didn't start probably 50% of the time due to electrical problems and I called them on it a couple of times to complain but I thought I just try to figure out maybe it's the battery. I replaced the battery with a new one. Unfortunately that didn't solve the problem. Sfter 5 months I told them this has to be fixed this is my livelihood take the car back I need something else. I was picked up by them at my house because the 2012 Nissan didn't start and I'd end up taking a taxi to my job that day. They let me have a choice of three cars and I picked out a 2017 Nissan Sentra with 34000 miles. I thought that was the end of my problem but when I got home I realized that car which they had neglected to tell, me had been in a major accident. It was a rental car from Enterprise and the person had apparently got in an accident. The car was sent to an auction and sold to Curbside Motors. They never ever told me anything about this accident and I cannot fix it. Its too much damage. I'm extremely upset and I beg you guys don't purchase a car from these guys ever!!! Curbside motors is located in Tacoma WA. In Feb of 2018 my partner who is a Marine Veteran and myself were sold 2 bad cars within a 3 day period of each car in which the cars both began smoking underneath the engines only after 3 days of purchases. First off when we arrived at Curbside motors in Feb of 2018 to test drive a certain vehicle the vehicle was no where on the lot of the car dealership. A sales man named Jay insisted on needed me or my partners debit card to be scanned in order to hold the vehicle for us. As my partner knew we had not had the pleasure to test drive the vehicle she did not want her bank card to be charged for a vehicle we had not test drive yet to determine if we wanted it. On 2/26/2018 2000.00 was extracted from my partner's bank account before we even had signed for the vehicle or made a real conclusion that we wanted to purchase this vehicle. Both the vehicles that we had purchased from Curbside stalled on the freeway making it hard for my partner to speed up past 50 MPH, loud noises began come from the axle or power steering areas and their check engine lights came on. First we put$ 2000.00 on the first vehicle and then we put $4000.00 down on the second vehicle. In June of 2018 one of the Vehicles broke down on us completely. When we asked curbside for the maintenance that was done on their vehicles they refused to show us such document's and even went as far as trying to claim that their mechanics from another location works on such vehicle's. When we asked Curbside for the maintenance documents from their mechanics they also refused. Midas found a lot of major safety issues wrong with both vehicles such as head gasket leaks within both cars we purchased with a total of $4,234.00 of safety issue maintenanced needed to be done on the first car and around 4763.00 of safety issues that needed to be addressed with thus other vehicle which broke down in June of 2018. Curbside Motors are currently under a re investigation for dealer fraud as our case had been mishandled due to such extensive information involved. It's advised to anyone who purchased a faulty vehicle From Curbside Motors in which serious mechanical issues occurred within a few days of your purchases to file a complaint against Curbside Motors with our Washington State Attorney General's Office, The Washington State Federal Trade Commission and The Washington BBB Autos Department. I wrote a review about the great experience I had buying a car from curbside and posted it . but I did not mention that I purchased anew grill for my Chrysler 300 and when I stopped in they referred me to the shop the use to put the grill on for me. The quotes I got were around $55-$85 without seeing the car first. So when I went into the shop they had to take my bumper off to get under there to unbolt the grill. Then the had to cut the plate holder to make it look good and for right with the new grill. When all was said and done the shop didn't even charge me per curbside. eceptive! Avoid at all costs! Bought a 4 yr old truck from these guys. Was told by sales rep "only 2 owners! All history is in WA state!" I said, "oh, nice, not a rental then? " - "Yup!" Ok... except when I got the Carfax (request this if you deal with them, they have it and walk if they refuse.) - it was a rental for the first 20k miles, and had a lein on 2nd owner. So sales rep misrepresented vehicle history, or couldn't interpret the carfax correctly. Second major issue is that when I got it to my mechanic following week (by all means have your potential vehicle checked before you buy, I was in a time crunch and couldn't. ) - he noted that the valve cover gasket was leaking some. On a truck with only 35k miles. And whoever cleaned the engine bay (this is normal at a lot of used car dealers) took special care to conceal the leak. I'd driven it maybe 40 miles between purchase and inspection. Enough that the leak became apparent. This wasn't noted in Curbside's inspection report. My mechanic who I've used for years and I trust said, "no way you could miss this, looks like they took special care to clean around there." Really disappointed an almost new truck has an engine leak I'll be on the hook to fix in the near future. Also makes me wonder if the poor thing has been abused, or if whoever tore apart the engine to clean it put things back correctly. 3rd issue. I had a pre-approved line of credit from a major local credit union. Still had to wait upwards of 2 hrs to complete the minor paperwork when they knew I'd be handing them a check for the full amount within a week. So haggling and going back and forth on price for about an hour, then another 2 hours sort paperwork after price is agreed upon - buying a car shouldn't take that long. The whole process felt bad. Won't be back, I recommend others avoid if possible, I wanted a specific vehicle and needed it that day so was in a bind. In the future I'm just buying a new car from a dealership, the money saved isn't a good trade IMO for the hassle involved in buying used. Edit - To cap off the whole deal - when picking up the car I asked if there was a 2nd set of keys - they checked, but only one set. So paid 160$ for two new chipped keys - 3 weeks (!) later they mail a non-chipped and bent key with a fob that wasn't compatible. read more

I wish I could give negative 1000. A place that states they can help you but instead makes things far worse than they were before. They will take money from you, and then some, and make your credit even worse. So if you want another company you will be disputing.... choose them. Liars. Thieves. Robbed me personally of $1500. Found with credit card company to get $3500 back. They put on my report I owe them 5K when they took car back. It was a lie and scam. And keep in mind - single Mom. They totally lie and steal your money. Do not go to this company. You will spend so much time fighting as I am to remove off credit report. read more
