I bought a 2019 BMW X5 with aftermarket wheels. The tires were bad, I communicated to them and took it to the dealer so they could "inspect" them. The tires shop I went to explained that the two front tires are dry rot and the back ones are forming bubbles. They looked at the tire with a naked eye. Then try to say they don't think they took the tires off because it was hard to get off... I watched them pull each tire off and put it on the balance machine. Long story short, they DO NOT know how to properly care for their foreign cars so if you buy one expect to replace a couple of things. They also use CHEAP ass parts. read more

So, Wife and I purchased a 2015 Tahoe from Motors Northwest on 04/19 and when we went to leave the check engine light came on. Salesman (Carl) stated they will fix it whatever it is and it was Saturday evening and no open shops to look at it. I filled up the SUV that evening and the gas cap was loose while driving home I thought I smelled gas fumes. I checked the code and it was an emission code and stated possible loose gas cap. I reset the system and erased code. I made contact with Amanda at the dealership and told her would be in Monday to drop off keys and about the check engine light issue. 04/21 monday I returned to Northwest Motors with the rest of my keys to my 2022 trade in I told the salesman what had happened and was told that if it comes back on to let them know. 05/05-05/06 I have been in contact with Motors Northwest regarding check engine light coming back on and told them was coming in to get it looked at and it was the same code so clearly an problem exists and the loose gas cap was not it. 05/06When I pulled in and walked in the door the salesman (Carl) was extremely rude no greeting or anything, when I mentioned about getting the vehicle fixed, he ushered me out quickly. I was pointed and shown where their repair shop was and waited for someone from Motors Northwest to tell me what to do, after all this salesman told me the dealership would take care of it.I waited 15 minutes no salesman. I finally went into repair shop and had to make numerous contacts at Motors Northwest to get vehicle looked at and the repair shop needed authorization to look at and diagnose. I talked with Mechanic and told him about the gas fumes coming inside vehicle and it was the same code as before. Mechanic sent over estimate to fix. Mechanic stated he ran tests and valve not opening which why fumes coming into vehicle. 05/07 I am now being told that Motors Northwest will NOT fix vehicle and not honoring their word, vehicle cannot be driven with the fumes coming inside. In 2 weeks since purchase I have driven a total of 150 total miles so obviously this was an issue before and looks like was hidden in order to sell vehicle. read more

Bottom line here. Stay away from these guys! Just because you are credit challenged and understand that you will/may have to put up with somethings you may not like, doesn't mean that the dealer you're working with should not lie or cheat you. On the 23rd of December 2024, I called - spoke to Haileigh and asked if the 2014 Chevrolet 2500 Duramax was still available. I asked if she knew if the pickup had ever had a tune, she said that nothing had been deleted. ??? Suspect! I made an appointment for 2 PM that day. Met a salesman, Tony. We went for a ride, wasn't too bad. The pickup was advertised for 37,999. Great. I offered 2k down and did all the normal paperwork to start the finance ball rolling. Because of past credit issues, no takers that day. I went home. The next day (December 24th) I received a call from Jordan, (the finance guy) and said they had an approval and could I come back down to get the paperwork started. I made it down there around 11 AM. This is where things got interesting!! First, the advertised price of 37,999 is not what the contract stated. The contract stated 39,999 now. I asked why, Jordan stated - "prices change all of the time" - then there comes the addition of "GAP" insurance, the pricy "extended warranty" and then the addition of the LOWJACK! Of course, he explained it off that the Low Jack allow you an insurance break, bla bla bla BS! We all know why that's there, it's so they can find the vehicle if it ever needs to be re-possessed. Anyway, by the time I gave them the 2K, I'm financing 50K with payments of 841 per month. This is where I should have gone with my gut! I accepted it, should not have and wish I could take the whole thing back. There was clear dishonesty, and railroad tactics. Something I could have stopped. My bad. However, there is light in my tunnel, more to come very soon. BTW, the pickup had been tuned, and for almost 7 years, the CP4.2 pump is bad, that about an 8K job at this point, and the engine smokes when idling after it loads up too. You know damn well they knew that! Folks, stay away from these guys~! Do not let them take advantage of you; they are basically justified crooks at this point. Like I said more to come. If you want to play games and waste your time this is the dealership for you!!! My family and I had been looking for a specific car because my daughter loved her first car. We were about to buy from a different lot when we saw the exact car my daughter wanted on this car lot. We stopped in and looked at it and was told the price from Nikita and sadly it was out of our budget. So we left. After looking at the other car we were planning on buying and adding up what needed fixed, we would have been right around the $7,000 that was my max budget. I had a VERY strict $7k budget. Motors Northwest was slightly over that with the car we liked and I thought "well since we have cash maybe they want to sell a car". We went back and actually spoke in depth with Nikita this time. My wife stayed in the car this time, and was hesitant to go back, because she was in the dealership before using the restroom and she said the sales team were talking trash on almost all the customers. Being super judgy and disrespectful. (their walls are obviously thinner than they thought, or they didn't care that a potential customer might over hear them) I asked Nikita if the price was firm or if they would adjust for a cash buyer. He said let's take it for a drive and that he was sure that they would work with me. I had spoken to Nikita and explained to him that their price with taxes, title, fees, LOJACK, were all out of our budget and that we would move on if he couldn't get me to $7k out the door. They were at $7,699 plus taxes, fees, etc. They were charging $450 for Lojack and I said that I didn't need that since I already have a GPS for her car that we use. Also, they didn't need to charge me for plates because they could transfer the plates from her car to this car, seeing that it was same year, make AND model. His response was LoJack is already installed so the price is what it is, and there was absolutely no way to transfer the plates. So the lowest they could come down was $200 off. We did tell him that this is the exact car we were looking for for three weeks and that they were just too high for us and we understood where they were at, and to have a nice day. THIS IS WHERE ALL THE OLD USED CAR TRICKS CAME IN AND WASTED EVERYONE'S TIME! 1st call 3 minutes after us leaving.. He said they could do, $7k plus fees. I AGAIN told him, that my MAX budget was $7k out the door in cash, he said they couldn't do that. 2nd Call. About 25 minutes later I get another call from Nikita as we are driving to Auburn to look at another car. He says they would do $7k out the door with the trade in of my daughters broke down car. I told him that's great, if they were covering towing because again I was at $7k MAX budget and towing would have taken out of that. He said they would not tow and it was on me. I said that doesn't work that would cost me to tow it and puts me over $7k. 3rd CALL 3 hours after leaving this dealership, Nikita calls once again. The sales manager says $7k cash out the door. I was dumbfounded at the stupid games. So we went back almost 4 hours after being told they COULD NOT MEET AT WHAT I SAID I COULD AFFORD UP FRONT hours before. Show up, Nikita is pissed off and slamming the doors to the car as he is taking the stuff out, Wouldn't look us in the eyes or talk to us really. The sales team all had major attitudes. The employees were all unprofessional. This place is a Joke and Nikita should find a different business if slamming doors on a car and throwing a tantrum is how he conducts business. The finance guy Jordan(the only absolute AMAZING part of this dealership) Jordan deserves a better place to work than here. He is incredible. Come to find out Lojack COULD be removed, they COULD meet my budget, and the tags COULD be transferred. He is the only one that was honest and reasonable, instead of just trying to squeeze every cent out of a family that was in a tough spot. This dealership wasted our entire day playing games. I value my time and appreciate up front and HONEST negotiating. You will get neither from the sales management or the employees and they will completely waste your time. Time is money and they waste a ton of it! Almost 8 hours of games and not a cent saved. I ONLY bought from them because THEY HAD THE EXACT car I wanted. If ANY other dealership had this car, or anything close, I wouldn't have spent a dime here. I was waiting to get my registration and title in the mail before posting a review. When I finally got my registration I found another very amusing thing from this dealer. EVERY dealership I've ever bought a car from(probably over 20 different dealers over the years), you always get the over charge from titling paid back to you in a check when you pick up the plates. My fiancé and I recently bought a car here. When we first came, they wanted us to pay over $500 a month for a 2017 car. After some negotiating they dropped it around $400 but we were not gonna be happy with that so we left because we had two small children. Fast-forward to around the time they close and we get a call from Nick saying that they could get us a better deal and that our monthly price would be right where we wanted it so we came back and we started signing the paperwork and getting everything ready to go. When we got the car home, it started to malfunction, mainly the start stop feature. My fiancé called them and let them know what was going on and said he would like them to take a look at it, and they immediately stated that it was a computer issue and that they would not be able to help. Immediately was irritated because this means that they knew there was a computer issue with this car when they sold it to us! Fast-forward to today and I went to go get my license plates and they told me that it was 50 extra dollars because the fees were a little bit more than they had anticipated, my fiancé called and asked why they can't just eat the 50 bucks because no one told us that we needed to bring 50 extra dollars and they had called us over a week ago. When I asked the gentleman inside why they didn't tell us this over the phone his response was well I'm telling you now which is extremely rude. I'm not impressed with this business at all, I know that they are hiding things that they know are wrong with vehicles and every time I go in there, I see a different face and the only person who was remotely kind to us was Nick. We upgraded the brakes to drilled and slotted rotors and ceramic pads. We put a perfomance chip in it. Tinted the windows accented the paint job and put a new deep cell battery in it for our next upgrade, wheel lights and ground effects. We still get comments daily from people every where saying how much they love the truck, especially the color. Be aware that Motors Northwest will add a "Worst Case Scenario" cost for a license fee, to the price their cars are listed at. For us, a car was listed at $10,995 and we were told the final, out-the-door cost was $12,200, which was nearly $800.00 over the total cost of licensing, tax, title and tags fee. The salesman told us it was "just normal fees" and "document fees",etc. but when the second salesman, the "supervisor" came in, he finally admitted that they add a "$750.00 worst case scenario" fee to their prices. We left without purchasing. My encouragement to you is if you find a car from them that you really like, come to an agreement through text, email, etc. before ever going to the store, so that you will at least know the truth of what it will cost you. Again, the final cost is NOT what you see on their sticker price. read more

This is a follow to a review that was made by me from a purchase I made for a 2014 2500 Chevrolet Silverado Duramax on December 24th. Since the purchase, this pickup has been driven a total of 4 days. The other days it's been with the great guys at Plateau Diesel in Enumclaw fixing the unknown problems that existed on this pickup when I purchased It. To fix this pickup cost me just shy of $7500. Safety wise, they told me that the rear calipers had been changed. But someone forgot to torque the bolts on the right rear caliper, it was almost completely off. That could have been a catastrophe for me. Luckily, Mitches crew found it and took care of it. They checked the other side just in case, they needed torquing too. The entire DPF filter was plugged and was changed out, the 9th injector was leaking and was replaced. Someone had placed an oversized bolt attaching the intercooler that punched a hole in the inter cooler. That had to be replaced. The Fass lift pump had filters that were placed opposite as they should be, the water filter became the diesel filter and diesel filter became the water filter. Those were replaced. The MAF sensor was not only bad and plugged, but the seal was missing entirely. The air filter was just sitting in the housing, not fastened whatsoever. There were other issues too. If you were me, you'd be furious I'm sure. Since I finally got the pickup back (Feb4th), I'm taking the next steps in this fight. I'll follow up again and let you know how it all comes out. read more

My initial experience with the dealer ship was a positive one. A week or so after we made our purchase, we received a phone call that our license plate had come in. With our busy schedules I called and asked if I could just have them mailed like every other car dealer ship we work with. I was told that it would be $24 to mail them which threw me back. We spent over $100k on a car and we couldn't even have them mail them? I asked to talk with the manager to which J.T. got on the phone. I said to him that I was shocked at how much money we spent, and they couldn't even mail my license plates to which he just said "no". No explanation in the rudest tone i would never expect to hear from a GM of a business that I just spent a lot of money at. I expressed how dissatisfied I was and that I would be sure to leave a review to which he said he would write a fake review for our business (defamation isn't always easy to prove, but I feel pretty confident in this case) amongst other completely inappropriate and unprofessional verbiage. Waited a month to post this review in hopes that the dealer would have followed through but they did not. Purchased a 2014 Mustang convertible for my wife for our anniversary. Asked if I could do a 3rd party inspection and was told that if there was anything found during the inspection that they would make it right but had to do the inspection in 48 hours. Had the inspection done and found a few items but the biggest thing was that 3 out of the 4 tires had tread below the legal limit. Something to note - when I mentioned the things that were found during the inspection one response I got was "If you're unhappy with it just return the car. We already have it sold to someone in Salem, OR". Seriously? It's a pretty blatant tactic to make a buyer try to feel anxious about a car they like but threatening that's already sold is pretty weak. I told the salesman that my wife loves the car but the tread was below the legal limit then I think they should be replaced. Ultimately, I was told that they would get me their "wholesale price' at Les Schwab for tires. Les Schwab wouldn't let me have the tires at wholesale price (no surprise) so I ended up paying for the tires and alignment myself. Rating them A-Ok (3 stars). 4 stars says "Yay! I'm a fan" and as a dealership it wasn't anything to write home about. I had financing already in place and I didn't haggle about the price so they didn't have to do much to close the deal. I'm taking 1 star off because I was told it was serviced at a local repair shop which should have noticed the issues that were found during inspection (leaking seal, unreported accident, tires, etc). I even pulled up the vehicle description page from their website after it was taken down (thanks Google cache!) which says "Completely inspected, serviced and Certified". If that was the case, it should have never been sold with those tires. Taking another star off for not following through with what they said would do which was to get a good deal on new tires. If they would have flat out said no at least they would have been true to their word in that regard. Had the dealer even split the cost of the tires with me I would have been happy. $350 to lose a potential repeat customer and any positive advertising/referrals doesn't seem like it's worth it. To add, I had to remind them about my tabs and license plates. I emailed them on 8/15 asking about them (temp was good until 8/30) and got no reply. Sent 2 additional emails with no reply. Messaged them via Facebook and was told that I should get them before the temps expire. They ended up arriving on 8/21. I checked with a contact that I have a the Department of Licensing and I was told the plates and registration was ordered on 8/16 (the day after I initially asked about them). Overall, my wife is still happy with the car itself but we wouldn't return here or recommend this place to anyone. read more

I traded in a vehicle 2018 BMW X3 for a (2017 GMC Yukon Denali) at Motors Northwest 7007 S Tacoma Way, Tacoma, WA 98409 on 04/10/2022 everything was going well, I asked them to replace the tires on the vehicle before I purchased it because they were bald, they agreed and went around back. As I am driving home, the car seems bouncy, wobbly, and unstable, that following Wednesday 04/13/2022 I brought the car into Discount tires here in Smoky Point 2721 171st Pl NE, Marysville, WA 98271 and to Les Schwab 8405 State Ave, Marysville, WA 98270 to get an inspection done on the tires. Both stores informed me that the tires that the dealership had put on my car were unsafe and not suitable to be driving on. I then had to purchase new tires from Discount Tires. I called Motors Northwest to let them know the situation and that I would like to be refunded for the tires that I had to purchase, when I called Rocky (salesman) said "this is above my paygrade, I will have a manager call you back" "\Someone called me back, they said "we did our part and put new tires on your car if you're unhappy with the car to feel free to bring it back" I then hung up because he was being very rude and disrespectful and I was inside of the tire shop, he called me back and proceeded to yell and say "did your phone run out of minutes because you hung up, I am the owner, don't contact this dealership again." I have sent multiple emails to them about this situation, I went down to the dealership and canceled my warranty and GAP, and they informed me that they would not reimburse me because I didn't bring them the tires they had put on my car. Today, 04/29/2022 I called Red Canoe whom I financed the BMW with to see if the loan was paid off, it has not, so another car payment will be coming out of my account as of the 1st, as of now I have two auto loans. Every time I call to talk to Keith Jackson (business manager) about this, he is busy and will "call me back" This is unacceptable for anyone. Erin from Customer Service will respond to this message, giving her apologies about how they want to make things right and to come in. I did file a complaint with the BBB, they told the BBB that , I gave them the WRONG address for Red Canoe, I am not the one who does the paperwork, how could I have given them the wrong address, it's also a public record for them to double-check their paperwork. Bought a 2007 Land Rover from these guys on the 20th. Of January. Everything seemed to be good, my salesperson was good, my experience with thr finance guy was ok. Asked how many key fob came with the vehicle, was told two. Once all the paperwork was done and the car was running ready to go is when I was given the other fob. Had a long drive home so didn't pay to much attention to it and left. As you can see in the picture the fob is in sad shape. It didn't work at all. Tried charging it and nothing. Sent an email with picture and didn't get any responce at all. Then on Saturday the 25th I got a phone call, I thought it might be about the key fob, it wasn't. Explained the situation with the fob being broken, he said that he would let my salesperson and manageent know. I recieved an email today, Sunday and was told that it wasn't their probem and that I needed to fix the probem myself. I know it seams a bit trivial but I was told there were two working key fobs with the purchase of a $13,000 Vehicle. One turned out to obviously have issues. If they would have just been upfront about the crappy condition and questionable status of the second key fob or responded differently there would not be a problem. BEWARE! Take nothing for granted, not even a fob. They are not above lying about something so minor. Edit: I wanted to add what I thought of the Range Rover now that I have had it now for a few days. Added another star to my review. The Range Rover that was sold to me was clean inside and out. I just had a major inspection done and other than minor servicing it was in really good condition. Very happy with my purchase, I ended up with a solid vehicle that should last me yrs to come read more

I had such a wonderful experience purchasing a car from these guys. I not only got the car of my dreams but I also got it for the price of my dreams! I was able to meet most of the team, but the two helping me were Bill and Curt. These two fellas really know their stuff! They were able to make purchasing this car not only fast and efficient but fun too! The car I purchased was the TESLA Model S. It was rather refreshing having salespeople that knew what they were talking about! They weren't trying to sell me something I didn't want and helped make this whole thing possible and to top it off, the owner gave me a really neat Hot Wheels version of my TESLA. I genuinely had a great time here and would recommend anyone to stop by to say hi and see if there are any options for them. I paid cash for a minivan, and was informed that there was a malfunctioning mechanism on the trunk door, but I was reassured it would be fixed ASAP, and it would be available for pick up the next day. Unfortunately, the issue turned out to be significantly more complex than previously expected, and it has been over 4 weeks to diagnose the problem-- this was not entirely Motors NW's fault, I will admit that. The reason for the one-star review is because they assured me that they would call me back with updates SEVEN TIMES and did not, they were repeatedly deceitful when I inevitably called them for information, and they threw Nick (the person who took us for a test drive) under the bus again and again. Nick was a great sales person, who was very upfront about the issue-- he was not privy to the problems regarding the diagnosis, and was very apologetic that things had been handled so poorly. Every other sales manager treated my minivan as a non-priority, and only told me what I wanted to hear to get me off the phone/out of the office. I visited the dealership this morning, and was guaranteed that the OWNER would call me today with an update, and to discuss changing the terms of my contract, and once again: no call. If they don't deliver my van to me by tomorrow, as promised, I will be demanding my money back and failing that, pursuing legal action. read more
