So we purchased two cars from this lot. One was an audi A8 which as we found out at home, had a large bubble in the sidewall. I let them know and they paid for one tire but I had to replace all four due to it being a all wheel drive auto and wear has to be even. Cost to me over $1,000. The other car was a pre-owned Maserati which had display issues when we took it out for a drive. We were assured it was because the battery had died. They would fix it. So a week later we purchased both cars yet the display was still not working. We were told that they had replaced a "reconditioned" battery with a new one and the display would clear up after the car was driven, or computer reset. BS. Display was bad and had to be replaced. They reimbursed me for the part but I am out $800 in labor for it but that is not the end of it. We kept hearing a clunking sound after a few days so I took it into my mechanic who found that the car had been in an accident, plastic filler and bolts had been used in the inside of the rt. front fender. The grill was only held on by two bolts and the front strut was broken, They found rubber in the springs to act as a damper agent but it fell out. You can see the text exchange between myself and the owner of Payless. I will be out almost $2000 in repairs on this car for the strut and front end. As per the text from the owner of Payless, I should have had a professional inspect the car, not take their word for anything. In his own words he is saying they cannot be trusted to tell you the truth. We will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well as the State Attorney. Buyer beware are the words in black and white from the owner of Payless Auto Sales in Lakewood washington.

Bought a 2008 Pontiac G6 from this auto lot. One month later the engine blew. Of course it was sold as is, so there is no recourse.

We live in Sammamish, so Tacoma wasn't the first place we thought of looking. However, after we went for a visit, I can't imagine going anywhere else. We worked with Kylee, Anthony, Bob and Kerry and all were absolutely incredible to work with and so friendly. The low-pressure, family-type atmosphere throughout the whole process made this dealership stand out from any we've ever worked with in the past. The buying process was very smooth and they were able to find me a rate that beat anything else I could find. Regardless of the drive time, Toyota Of Tacoma will be where we continue to visit when in the market for another vehicle.

However, I made the long drive to the dealership because I reasonably expected the final offer to be somewhere close to the estimate I was given. After arriving, I waited for over 90 minutes, only to receive an offer that was about 35% lower than what I had been told. When I questioned the huge difference, the salesperson immediately admitted that he had mixed up my information with another customer's. There wasn't even a moment of hesitation. What bothers me most isn't that a mistake was made--everyone makes mistakes. It's that the mistake was never corrected before I made the trip. If my information had already been mixed up, why wasn't I contacted before I drove all the way to the dealership and spent over an hour and a half waiting? To make matters worse, there was no sincere apology or acknowledgment that my time had been wasted. I understand that this is a large dealership and you probably have no shortage of customers, but customers also have choices. I wasn't asking anyone to do me a favor--I came because I relied on the information your staff provided. This is not the level of professionalism, communication, or respect for a customer's time that I would expect from a Toyota dealership. I hope the dealership improves its internal communication and treats future customers with the honesty and respect they deserve.

When we went to look at it intially the dealer had the AutoCheck available, but not the Carfax which was strange since they have a big Carfax sign in the window. We also got some verbiage about how Carfax reported every little thing and wasn't necessarily accurate. I still paid for the Carfax when we got home ($40). What a surprise to learn the vehicle had been in an accident. This wasn't a dealbreaker as I still believed the "over-reporting" by Carfax the dealer told us and figured it was a fender bender. We went forward with the pre-purchase inspection ($100). My trusted AAA mechanic said the vehicle had been near-totaled and the damage hadn't been repaired very well. It was quite obvious when the mechanic showed me. I'm not sure why the dealer's mechanic didn't catch it. The car had been pulling to the right and it turns out this was due to a bent strut that hadn't been repaired. There were also some issues with the emissions equipment. The dealer showed me paperwork of what had supposedly been repaired when I noted that the vehicle had failed emissions in June, 2017. When I got home I realized what I had was an estimate, not a guarantee that the work had been done. The vehicle ran a little rough about 25% of the time so I asked the mechanic to look into it. He said it was running like it was "trying to throw codes" (in other words, emissions problems). My mechanic advised me to pass. I was cordial and polite, but told the dealer based on the pre-purchase inspection we no longer wanted the vehicle. When we returned it, the salesman (Martin) and the owner (Chuck) made all kinds of excuses about how the damage was minor and there wasn't anything wrong with it. They showed no interest in my report from the mechanic and kept insisting the vehicle was fine. I didn't say anything because I just wanted my deposit back without any hassle. Chuck remained cordial, but fast-talking Martin turned quite surly. I did receive my deposit back even though I spent $140 for nothing. I don't know how they could deny a report from AAA mechanic, or damage I could see with my own eyes. I didn't receive an apology nor was there any concern that someone could buy an unsafe money-pit. If there had been any regret or offers to fix the emissions and the strut, this would've been a different review. It could be a good car for someone with the problems fixed and full-disclosure of the accident. Honesty is worth gold, or in this case, a sale. If anyone wants the Carfax or has any other questions, please feel free to contact me.

The truck I bought appeared to be in great shape, salesmen told me it had no issues, that they have a shop check everything over in detail. My guess is at some point they used a short term additive to fix the engine light, lasted just long enough for me to test drive and get down the road. After politely following up and asking for some help, I was told to kick rocks (not literally, just 'sorry vehicle sold as-is'). Dealing with Christian Taylor (salesman) was great, I appreciated him, but the establishment as a whole is not to be trusted.
