The pie was loaded with ingredients. I especially liked the crumbled sausage (as opposed to large random chunks) and the dollops of tomato sauce throughout the pie. It does have a thicker crust than your typical pizzeria but the crust was crunchy, while still remaining soft and airy. This may be the best pie I've eaten in a while, especially since the structure had the integrity to hold up all those toppings - it wasn't soggy at all, like a lot of pies with that many toppings tend to be. We did eat it at the pizzeria though, fresh out of the oven, so that probably helped. Prices are reasonable too. A regular slice is only $3. I'm just sad that we don't live closer. We just happened to be in the neighborhood running errands and we found Turvino's. If I'm ever in the area again, I'm definitely going to check out some of their other pies. Note - there's a 3% processing fee if you use a credit card.
