Yes this is inside the food court at the mall, yes it looks like any other mall food court set up. Do not let looks dissuade you to try this spot out. I sometimes go out of my way just to go into the mall to eat here. I think it's that good. My favorite thing is the samosa chaat. It's delicious! Been coming here for a while, and I will still give it 5 stars. This is an Indian (not Pakistani like some other reviewer mentioned) restaurant, and they have pre-made items, as well as a menu above the kitchen where you can do made-to-order meals. There is no limit to what they've done for my family over the years we have come here. The environment in the mall leads you to think to walk by, but this is definitely a hole in the wall mom-n-pop family owned eatery worth at least a visit or two to decide if you like it! I must stress this again, the food/menu is NOT limited to what they prepare and put in their warmers. You can even create your own dish and they'll make it if they have the ingredients. The naan is fresh to order and you have the option to have butter on it or not - you just need to communicate this to them. They are used to customers asking for it, so butter is the default. I've noticed that the ingredients are always fresh and have a good kick; I order a salmon vindaloo extra spicy with a side of naan and rice. It's fabulous and I keep coming back every week or so to get it. My husband does their pre-made Tawa chicken with fresh tomatoes cooked into it with jalapeño. It's absolutely flavorful and has a nice kick. If you ask for more flavor, they'll give it to you! Stopped at the food court and came across this gem. Service was professional, reassuring, and exceptional. I was in dire need of a warm meal made with love. I ordered the curry chicken basmati rice and some garlic naan. the garlic naan is HUGE!! Fresh warm buttery flavorful I was in shock when i got my order. I had read positive reviews about this restaurant in the food court in Spotsylvania Mall for over a year and since I was going to be in the mall today, I decided to give them a try for lunch. The lady taking and filling orders was friendly and helpful. The food/menu was limited to what they prepare and put in their warmers, which is fine, as it's the typical items, like channa (chick peas), boneless chicken kabob, aloo curry (potato), chicken curry, saag (greens, such as spinach), etc. They also had a "chef's special" item which was a boneless shredded chicken curry that they called Tawa Chicken (Tawa - Is the type of vessel you typically cook curries or roti in). I wanted to try their boneless chicken and something spicy, so she suggested the Tawa Chicken and I also wanted to try their channa and some naan. In all, it was just shy of $20 for everything, not a bad price. They make the naan fresh to order, which only takes a few minutes, not a big deal. I sat down at a food court table to enjoy my lunch... All the food was decent, I can see why the reviews are good. Fresh ingredients were used. But the spices were very bland and not at all what I prefer, nor look forward to when I'm in the mood for Pakistani-type food. The chutney was a mint style, without yogurt and it was probably one of the more flavorful items. The naan was really good, but they spread butter on it, I absolutely hate that, as it makes my hands greasy, since I eat food the traditional way, with the naan. Overall, I can say I've been, but given the style of flavors, which don't really cater to my style of curry, I doubt I'll be back. read more

Looking for affordable Indian food that allows you to have some variety? This mall food court spot is surprisingly really good! There are plenty of vegan/vegetarian options, which makes me happy. They also have a few different combination options, that allows you to try a few different dishes instead of having to commit to just one. I of course go for the vegetarian choices, which rotate daily but there always seems to move Chana Masala, Potato Ghobi, and Dhal (probably one of my favorites). They also have an assortment of breads and appetizers, such as naan and my favorite, vegetable samosas. Portions are good and the food is quite fresh and flavorful. I appreciate this dining option in a mall, as opposed to the usual only options of Chinese food or CFA. I'm also very pleased with the variety! So this was my first time eating Indian food. Wasn't sure what to expect with this being in a mall food court, so not exactly the ideal ambiance for Indian dining. My Wife ordered things she believed I'd eat based on what she knows I like, and when it comes to the Garlic Naan and Lamb Curry she was 100% correct. It was delicious and almost tasted familiar. She ordered the Butter Chicken for herself, and I tried a little myself. This place has the best buttered chicken known to man. among all the buttered chickens I've had, this one is by far the richest. I've been going here for years and have been trying to get their recipe for the longest time. Their chana masala is second to none. No matter what my plan is when I get there I always end up getting a samosa, it's mandatory. The paneer patak and lentils are an honorable mention as well. The people are fantastic! This is the only Indian place i have tried so i don't know how it compares to others but all i know is that the owners absolutely ate with this food. Every time i go there it's like i'm seeing my relatives. I don't know their names but let me tell you i worship the owners. Excellent dining surprise at this mall food court. Authentic Indian cuisine with my favorite being the lamb curry and Nan bread made fresh and toast right in front of you. The delightful woman who runs the place treats you like a guest in her home and cooks like she has prepared the meals for family. The garlic and ginger intertwine with such delectable spices, I did a little dance each time I scooped a bit of curry onto my Nan. Every bite was a treat. Yesterday was my 2nd visit. Not your average food court meal. This place is delicious!! We've gone 3 times in the past couple of weeks and are going again soon. The butter chicken, served with rice, is the best I've ever had. The sauce is addictive and the chicken is big, white, tender, juicy chunks. The naan bread is quickly made to order and fantastic! Especially good to make sure you get every last drop of the butter chicken sauce. Yum! The vegetable samosas are perfection. A buttery tender crust with delicious dipping sauces. We've also had the chicken kabobs and vegetable plater. I can not recommend this place enough. The owners are so friendly and the food is fresh, plentiful and delicious! Ordered Curry & Kabob through Door Dash. I couldn't be more disappointed. The order came incorrectly and there was a black hair in the food (I have very light blonde hair). I called Curry & Kabob and spoke directly to the owner to try to work things out and she blamed all that went wrong on Door Dash and took no responsibility whatsoever. She was very arrogant and rude. Furthermore I asked that my monies paid were refunded (after her lack of care and willingness to take responsibility) and she said I had to go through Door Dash. Another lie. A simple "I'm sorry" would have been satisfactory for me but she didn't want to help at all. I wasn't rude in any way, I was trying to let her know I understand things happen. Again, no responsibility. Needless to say, I will never come or order here again. If I could give this no stars, I would.
