The best Nepali food in town. Came here as a friend recommended this spot for us and everything was catered to our taste and I mean I have people from 5 yr to 60+ in our group. Everything was great. The chicken curry, the hot and fresh momos, the biryani and the coconut paneer were all delicious. The service was great. They were promt with taking our order and got our food really quickly. Loved Curry & Momo! I am always a little nervous going to Indian restaurants as I don't know exactly what I like. My friends and I split the combo momo platter and I had the beef and veggie, they were both great. I ordered the coconut shrimp dish and the sauce was amazing, and exactly what I was hoping for. Back here again! Got the chicken Palak and Mango lassi. Mango lassi is as good as I remember with real fruit fiber. Chicken Palak meat was a little on the dry side but good thing the sauce was on point. I'd recommend getting it mild plus if you want a little bit of a kick. Service was great as usually. I ate at the restaurant but I saw a lot of people come for carry out so it had a good business for that. Pricing has of gone up a bit since the last time I've been there but still reasonable. Recently I completed a 7-day stretch of trying at least one new-to-me restaurant per day. Day four was at Curry & Momo Himalayan Restaurant. It was a toss-up between Immy's African Cuisine that I visited on day two and Curry & Momo for most outside my comfort zone. Still, I played it pretty safe with the gachee naan (garlic and cheese) and the mixed grill featuring chicken tikka, tandoori chicken, lamb sekuwa, and shrimp. The six piece momo platter (two each of chicken, beef, and veggie) was the most "out there" item I tried. I'm not particularly a dumpling person when I go to an Asian restaurant, but I definitely wanted to try the momo platter. The veggie in particular seemed very fresh with the variety of vegetables inside the dumpling. I don't know if I had a favorite of the three since they were all good. The gachee naan was fantastic. The garlic wasn't overpowering and there was plenty of cheese inside. For the mixed grill I thought the rice was pretty bland on it's own and obviously needed to be mixed with the sauce and meat. The meats were all cooked well, but were lighter on the marinade/seasoning than I was expecting. The lamb was my favorite of the meats because it was the most flavorful. read more

We visited Curry and Himalayan Momos in Milwaukee on Christmas Day during a family trip, and it ended up being a really fun and memorable choice. There was something amusing (and refreshing) about enjoying Indian and Himalayan cuisine instead of a traditional holiday meal -- a great change of pace. The restaurant felt very welcoming, and the food was excellent. The tandoori meats were especially good -- flavorful, well-cooked, and perfect on a cold winter day. The lamb momos were a standout too, tender and comforting, and something a little different from what we usually order. Overall, it was a fun, warm, and delicious experience with family, and we're glad we found it. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Milwaukee. read more

First visit here, and I was very pleased! I ordered the Momo Platter appetizer with 2 veggie, 2 beef, and 2 chicken, a Lamb Momo Appetizer with 6 lamb momos, and the Nepali Chicken Curry (mild because that is how I roll). I also added an order of naan when the curry arrived because I realized the curry is best for dipping and scooping up with naan! The momos were all excellent! I think the lamb were my favorite, followed by the chicken, beef, and then the veggie. The chicken was perfectly cooked and tender, and the curry was packed with flavor, and I think next time I will ask for a little spice for a kick. The naan was amazing! Not as fluffy as I'm used to, but soft, crisp, and buttery. I loved scooping up the curry with it! They got busy on a Saturday around 6:30, but still a couple of open tables, and there was near non-stop carry-out business while I was visiting. I get it. Came here because of all the great reviews and YES this place definitely deserves the 5 stars it has. EVERYTHING was sooo tasty!!! We were especially impressed by the soup, based on the color and what we knew was in it, we were expecting more spinach flavor but it was so light tasting! The tandoori chicken meat was nice and juicy! The pumpkin chicken was really great too, I couldnt really taste the pumpkin, really thought it was a nice flavor. Lassi were pretty thick but great too!! The waitress was super sweet and was super helpful. Overall, this place is great! Different choices for seating and beautiful pictures of mountains!! YES YES YES! Very pleased with the veggie (vegan) momo, Chana masala, and the mixed veggies curry. All was well sized, well priced and so good. Plenty of options for meat eater, vegetarian ls and vegans alike. The place is quiet on a Sunday but a steady flow of take out happening. The service was nice as the server was quick and quiet. All of us have a high tolerance of hot and spicy food and requested the heat level to be Medium+. The higher level of heat did seem to mask the flavors of the other ingredients somewhat, however; so, it was evidently a mistake for us to jack up the heat level. Four of us went on a Sunday afternoon and the place was pretty empty, so we were seated immediately and in a spot we chose by the window. This place doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside is bright, airy and comfortable. If you've never experienced this type of cuisine, the staff is very helpful in answering questions and making recommendations. This review is based off of ordering for pickup! I ordered through their partner app Clover and the process was super easy and fast (I say this as sometimes when I order for different restaurants on like DD or UE, it's super confusing/not intuitive). I lived about 20 minutes away and left right as I placed my order (time estimate was about 25min). Once I got there, the staff was so nice and told me that they were finishing up my order (didn't mind as I knew I'd be a bit early). Everything was packed nicely and the food was still hot when I got home! I ordered the steamed beef momos, garlic naan, and chicken tikka masala. Beef momos were tasty and the tomato-based sauce that it came with was great and helped cut the greasiness of the beef, garlic naan was standard, and the chicken tikka masala was very very sweet. This is the second restaurant that i've gone to where they've made their CTM incredibly sweet, so I wonder if its a me issue that I'm looking for something more savory? I thought the flavor was really good and they also gave me a side of chili to make my curry spicier, but boy, I had to add more salt to this the next day. Staff was very sweet and food was alright. Dare I say we found our new favorite spot for curry!? Moving up to the north shore recently, we were sad to be far from our usual go-tos for Indian downtown. However trying this place has been such a win! We ordered online, so I can't speak to the dine-in experience, but the food was certainly *chefs kiss.* It took roughly an hour for the order to be ready on a Saturday. My husband went to pick it up and spoke highly of the restaurant's interior, noting we had to return to eat-in. The three of us ordering are all huge curry fans, so we were drawn to those dishes on the menu, in which there are tons of them. I wanted to try something a little different than what I usually get, so I opted for the palak chicken! The boneless chicken was super tender, and there was plenty of it, mixed in with a generous portion of green sauce made from spinach and spices. I ordered it "medium" heat and let me tell ya, there was most definitely a kick to it! As with all of their dishes, it came with lots of rice which was great to mix in to finish the sauce. All in all it was a great meal. And my husband and friend had nothing but good things to say about theirs. Oh and the naan bread... oh my goodness. It was on the thinner side but absolutely perfect as far as naan bread goes. I wish I could get the recipe. Decided to try Curry and Momo for lunch today. Man I have been missing out! Got the beef momo for an appetizer and they were hot and fresh. I added some hot sauce to them and they were . Also got regular naan and cheese naan. Both were perfect for dipping into the lamb vindaloo. I could have eaten both by themselves as well. Hot and flaky fresh for the plain naan. This was first time I noticed peas and in my opinion they don't go with veggies inside. Consider adding paneer, cabbage, and onion etc as filling. Both panner and chick jalfregi were sweet and it seems like either ketchup or tomato purine is used which just ruined the taste. Chicken was on harder side as well. I was expecting thick chicken gravy but there were all sort of veggies. Seems like chicken is added in mix veggie. Consider adding only few veggies and keep the base as chicken gravy. Both naan and garlic naan were really good. Light and cooked good. Maggie lassi was on tart side, which didn't go well either. Consider tasting it before selling. And I can definitely say the flavors are authentic so the food is delicious and fresh. While the restaurant is Nepalese and Indian, many of the flavors are north Indian which makes sense. The momo dumplings are a new nice touch with a delicious sauce to go with. The restaurant is clean and open concept and authentic. Service is friendly in this family run business. My mother and I had to try Curry & Momo once we heard about it. I was introduced to Himalayan and Nepalese food in college and I've loved it ever since. We went for a late lunch before going holiday shopping. The place was pretty empty - just a couple tables were occupied. The service was friendly and helpful. The food was good, but not what I've become accustomed to. I had samosas, which were good, but a bit mild. I had the vegetarian momos, which are usually favorites of mine. While the momos themselves were good, the sauce is not what I'm used to and I didn't love it. It was not very nuanced. My mom had beef momos and enjoyed them, but she agreed about the sauce. She really enjoyed the lamb dish she ordered though and thought it was very satisfying. Overall this is a great addition to the local dining scene, but not my favorite Himalayan spot in the state. This place is simply put terrific. I'm thrilled that a locally-owned restaurant serving a cuisine not terribly common in the area is around! Glendale needs more places like this, rather than uninspired chains and more fast food. Seems like they are doing really well so far too. My wife and I gave them a try on a Friday night. We ordered takeout. I got the Tandoori Chicken and she got an assortment of momo. I went to pick up the food on a very rainy night and the super-friendly staff offered to get me a towel to try off while I waited. The place has a no-frills decor and a fair amount of tables around. That particular Friday, it was near packed. The food was superb. Really high-quality ingredients and flavors. I plan to be a frequent eater at Curry & Momo. A well deserved 5 star review from me. Why? Because not only is the food delicious, they also give you enough for a 2nd meal. They are certainly not stingy with their portions. I can't remember the last time I ate everything I ordered in one sitting. There are always leftovers. I've eaten inside their restaurant but I prefer ordering take-outs.
