My son and I had a late dinner at this tasty restaurant last night. I arrived early so that our server, KK, could help me with the menu. I was impressed with cloth table cloths and napkins. I am not well-versed in Indian food, BUT I LOVED everything I tasted from the complimentary appetizer to the curry chicken with peppers, etc. (Can you tell I don't eat this type of food often? Great experience overall! The restaurant has a really nice upscale ambiance, but still feels comfortable and welcoming. It was pretty busy when we visited, and there were at least 10 takeout orders going out while we were there, which says a lot about how popular it is. The service was good and the staff kept things moving despite the crowd. The menu has lots of curry options, so it took a little time to decide because everything sounded good. I ordered my dish medium spice, and it definitely had some heat--enough to make my nose run a bit, but still very flavorful! If you like spice, medium might be perfect. It's also in a convenient location right across from Bowlero and just a minute off the freeway, which makes it an easy stop whether you're local or passing through. This is a great Indian restaurant!! The interior is beautiful and feels very high-end and up-scale. The menu is vast and includes both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Service was good - the waiter checked on us often to refill our waters and if everything was tasting okay, which we appreciated. I had chicken tikka and garlic naan, both of which were delicious. It was delivered hot and the deliveryman was very polite but order came without the Lamb Curry which was supposed to be on the Non-vegetable dinner for 2. That said there was plenty of food for our party of 3 and we didn't lack for quantity, but I was really looking forward to the Lamb Curry. Delicious dinner at India Garden - I ordered takeout before which was tasty and knew I had to try it dine in and was happy I did! They have so many wonderful vegetarian entrees to choose from (many vegan and all GF friendly). I ordered the palak kofta medium spicy which brought some heat, friend ordered chicken mild and said it was indeed mild. They give plenty of rice included with the curries and service was attentive and kind. The garlic naan was thick and savory but without parsley which I like. We came to India Garden after reading Yelp Reviews. We had the lunch buffet which was "An All You Can Eat" deal for about $20 each. Lots to choose from. I'm typically not a Buffet gal but it was fun to be able to taste a variety of different dishes,some of which we've never had before. Some were better than others. Tiki Marsala was good. This restaurant is worth trying if you are a fan of Indian food. The potato samosa was 5/5. The papdi chat although the presentation was a little different than other restaurants I've tried, but the flavor was 5/5. My favorite thing to eat is chicken tikka masala. The flavor was good and the sauce was pleasant. It is not the best flavor I've had and would give it a 4/5. The waiters were efficient, yet unobtrusive, as they poured water, cleared plates, etc. As for the lunch buffet, it was ample, well labeled, had something for everyone. As a vegetarian, I enjoyed a variety of choices. As the names of the dishes were Indian, I cannot indicate which were my favorites. One slight criticism is a few of the dishes were not as hot as I would have liked. But our group was accommodated very well! You might want to check the health score though. We chose this restaurant for a Sunday lunch buffet recently because we were in the area, looking for a place to stop for lunch and decided to try it out. And I've just found my favorite Indian buffet in the area. This is the kind of buffet I used to eat in Atlanta and I've just not been able to find something like this. Until now. Now, granted, I haven't tried EVERY single Indian restaurant or buffet in town - but I'm making my way to do just that. And still, and so far, thsi one is excellent. The restaurant ambience is great - and comfortable. It was full of patrons. The buffet is fuller on weekends than weekdays, so if you're looking to sample more items, choose a weekend buffet. The food was outstanding. I can't pick a favorite, but so many of my favorites were on the menu. North Indian as well as South Indian dishes are represented. The buffet line is tucked away in a corner toward the back - it looks small - but it wasn't small. The selection was great. The desserts (a number to choose from) was located in the front near the bar. As you can see from the photos, some of the buffet items include: pani pure, saag paneer, tandoori chicken, naan, and many other vegetable and meat curries. The service was also good, with plenty of staff. We were a party of four- and we all LOVED it. The Indian food is what I crave when I want Indian food. I am already planning when I can return and take friends. I placed an order for delivery which totaled approximately $98. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, I thought they had the best Indian food in the Milwaukee area. However, this time I was very disappointed the chicken tiki masala had very few pieces of chicken. For dessert, I ordered the. Gulab Jamun, which are fried pieces of dough in a cinnamon flavored syrup, the charge was $4.95 and there only two small dough pieces in the serving. On the website, when you order it doesn't specify that there would be so little for so great a charge! I called the restaurant to let them know that I had only received two pieces. I was told that that is standard. I expressed my displeasure and asked for a refund, which was denied. I asked to speak to the manager and was told there was no manager in and there would be none in until tomorrow. I asked for the name of the person that I was speaking for, and he refused to give me his name. Needless to say, I will not be patronizing this restaurant again! read more

We had dinner here on Christmas day, and the restaurant was extremely busy. Fortunately, we had reservation for the time of its opening, and the staff ran the place very efficiently. The appetizers were served very quickly, but we had to wait for a while for our main dishes probably because the kitchen had to serve a large number of carryout orders as well. We ordered three appetizers (Samosa Chat, Gobhi Manchurian, and Mixed Non-Vegetarian Platter) and three main dishes (Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Bhunna, and Palak Paneer). Given the large volume of food the restaurant serves for both in-person dining and carryout, the dishes were evidently prepared in a relatively simple and highly efficient manner. They all tasted good and seemed to use fresh ingredients, but none had complex or superb flavors that wowed us. The prices are quite reasonable, so we consider the restaurant to be of good value. read more

First time having Indian Garden and I wasn't sure what to order so I asked the kind gentleman-Prakash to help. I asked for spicy chicken and he suggested the perfect meal. (I should've written it down). I came along with rice and he tossed in a sweet desert that was close to donut holes but way softer and sweeter. They were amazing! This place and the kind of staff they have here is amazing and they go above and beyond to accommodate and answer any questions. They have the buffet tucked in the back and had so many options. Butter chicken, veggie manchurian, and plenty of sauce options among other things. I've had good food here. The service is friendly. It's never been busy. The food has been good. They have a large menu. I get the chicken tikka masala (mild) with a garlic naan. Their papadums and sauce are very good. I've tried some of the other food friends have ordered -- seafood platter and fried rice. Everything has been very tasty. I recently visited Indian Garden Restaurant twice within the past few days, and I have mixed feelings about the experience. First, the food is absolutely amazing. The palak paneer was outstanding, and all the curries were rich, flavorful, and well-prepared. Their mango ice cream is also a must-try--creamy, refreshing, and delicious. If you're going purely for the food, it's definitely worth it. However, the customer service needs improvement. During our first visit for the lunch buffet, my friend and I requested an extra order of naan. They said they would bring it, but then continued refilling naan for other tables while completely ignoring ours. On our second visit--also for the buffet--a similar situation happened. As soon as we finished our first plate, they brought our bill right away, even though we were still eating and hadn't asked for it. Other tables were allowed to finish their meals comfortably before receiving theirs. I also requested a to-go cup for my drink, but the waiter never brought it. Overall, I highly recommend the food, but the service made us feel rushed and overlooked. I hope they work on the customer service, because I'd love to come back without feeling pressured to leave before I'm even done eating. read more

Ordered take out from here for dinner on a Friday night. Order was prompt and ready when I arrived. Ordered the following for 2 people, and had plenty of leftovers. Butter chicken, Lamb Vindaloo Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan, and Cheese Naan. Everything was tasty and nothing was overly spicy. We did get the chicken tikka masala very hot, and wish it was hotter, but that was a non issue. The two different kinds of naan were fantastic! Each good in their own way. The favorite dish of the night was the lamb vindaloo with the cheese naan. For all the entrees you get a side of basmati rice. Definitely had leftovers for a few meals. This place is great! The food is authentic and delicious! My wife and I went out in a date night and decided to give this place a try after seeing all the great reviews. The food was delicious and did not disappoint. Our waiter was attentive and always ensure we were taken care of but he did not overly interrupt which is what I liked. We ordered a few appetizers and the dinner for two which had different options to choose from. I loved the chicken tikka Marsala. The seared chicken. The Nan bread was fresh and aromatic. I haven't had much Indian food in Milwaukee so this is the best I've had so far! The desserts were interesting and the flavor is something to explore. Would love to come back and try other entrees again. There was plenty of food left for take home. The waiter packed our food and even gave us extra rice seeing that we still have plenty of curry. My husband and I chose India Garden for our wedding anniversary dinner because of the ambiance, the excellent food, decent prices, and the good wait staff. We arrived at 5:30 pm and were immediately ushered to a table. A young man came a few minutes later to present us with the normal appetizer of two chutney-style condiments and a sweet-spicy sauce to apply on thin crispy crackers. All were good, and proved an excellent compliment as I decided what to eat from the extensive menu. Our drinks arrived: my husband ordered Masala spice tea with milk, which was delicious, and I discovered the Franciscan Cabernet Sauvignon, a rich, full-bodied red having dark berry flavors with a hint of vanilla and a very long finish. I finally chose Lamb Pasanda, tender lamb chunks cooked with cashews and red wine. My husband had ordered Pishawari Naan, our favorite: stuffed with cashews and spices then baked in the tandoor, this naan is warm and flavorful. My husband ordered Lamb Biryani, chunks of lamb served with chopped vegetables and spices. The naan came just before our dishes were served, warm and redolent of spices. The Biryani was impressive, heaped high in a bowl. My Pasanda was beautifully presented in an elongated dish with delicately flavored basmati rice on the side. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and ordered Gajar Halwa, slightly sweetened shredded carrots cooked in milk, for dessert. We were surprised when the server also brought a dish of Hulfi ice cream with chocolate drizzle and a candle to help our celebration. We took home two bags of leftovers, and enjoyed them for several meals after our dining experience. With good service and quality food and drink, it's no wonder India Garden has become our first choice for Indian cuisine. read more

Definitely recommend the butter chicken and all the flavors of naan. I did order the shrimp curry and the shrimp was slightly overcooked which was disappointing but I could imagine that's hard to get perfect for a takeout order that may have been sitting. India Garden, great to-go location for me when I have a craving but a little hefty on the wallet. A dinner time order of chicken tikka masala will set you back over $17 which is a little steep, IMO. Plus, one order of gulab jamun for the SO was nearly $5 for 2 pieces. Maybe these are the going rates with rising food costs and inflation *shrug* but it's a bit lighter/different for lunch menu. Anyway, delicious and fragrant food--tasty samosas, love the chutneys, all the dishes have good flavor, hearty servings of rice, garlic naan on point, etc. All in all, it's a good go to for takeout or a craving fix. read more
