I was super hungry and attacked the vegetarian combo tray it with vigor, the Navrattan Korma was very delicious and very filling. Okay so I almost never leave bad reviews but I really don't understand the hype for this one. Maybe it's just the best there is in the area? I absolutely love Indian food, but I got the chicken tikka masala and it looked and tasted like pure greasy butter, with very little flavor. Best Indian food everrrrr and I'm glad it's local in Olympia! I don't stray too far from my usual though. Butter chicken is a MUST along with garlic nan. If I'm going with a couple friends, we would get the chicken tikka marsala as well. I've had 4 different vegetables dishes as they were all good!! I love to go here during lunch because the portion is smaller and you get a variety (main dish, vegetable, salad, dessert pudding) for a low price! Not too impressed. The butter chicken had a tiny amount of what seemed like chicken trimmings and didn't taste fresh. It had huge amounts of food coloring. The basmati rice was perfect and aromatic with herbs. The garlic naan was tasty, but the garlic was unnaturally colored a bright, BRIGHT orange which was off putting. We like this place! We tend to prefer it for take out- the dining in is good, it's just a tad small for us- it's the number of tables and chairs per sq foot- dense. Especially when they are busy! The butter chicken is delish! I think about it often and consider it an indulgence! Wow!! The 4 stars are for difficulty in knowing which dishes have tree nuts- we had some rice that either had small nuts or was cross contaminated with nuts. Our fault for not asking about tree nuts, of course. I could have missed something when I ordered because it was take out and I might have just looked at an online menu, OR..........I could have been thinking about the Butter Chicken too much and was in a complete butter chicken fog when I ordered! About 6 months ago was the first time I had ever had Indian Food, luckily Curry Corner was my first experience. Today I came back for their lunch special to go in which I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, and the Navrattan Korma which is served with rice, daal and naan. Their food is seriously amazing. So flavorful, and creamy. Their rice is perfectly cooked, and the naan is to die for. The staff is kind, and the atmosphere is perfect for their little restaurant. There are always people eating and enjoying their meal when I walk in. The portion size is big, but perfect for leftovers. :) My first time there I had no idea what to try, as I was not familiar with Indian Cuisine. Wow! Stopped here for lunch and had a substantial lunch special. I like it mild and my chicken curry was flavorful and mild. The Aloo gobi was excellent as well as the nan, raita and Indian tea. Probably my best Indian food experience anywhere. Stopped in again and were not disappointed. We can't tolerate spicy food, and therefore order our dishes mild. This place is legit! My brothers girlfriend is from Guyana and she loved the curry from here. AND when I tell them "not spicy" they actually make it not spicy. So many places make it spicy even wen I say I can't handle the spice. The chicken tikka masala was on point delicious and the garlic naan is a must have. I called in at 11:10, ordered the butter chicken, which was listed as $11.99 on the menu. Also ordered a side of garlic naan for $3.99. No idea how that added up to nearly $22 so I asked and was told I ordered the dinner portion. I did no such thing. But, like I said, the food was good. One of the best places to get Indian food in the area. The food is so rich without overly being spiced or cooked. The lamb is absolutely delicious and their curry tasted very authentic just like how my dad cooks it (he is Indian). Great place to eat and doesn't leave a bad after taste. We (2 adults, 2 teens) eat AMAZING Vegan food at Curry Corner at least 4-8 times every year - and have for nearly 12 years. The food is quick, delicious, fresh, flavorful, and it keeps us coming back for more! Let me begin by saying that we enjoy cooking meals at home that rival restaurant offerings, so to find a restaurant to eat out at that isn't disappointing, over priced or swimming in cheese, is wonderful. They actually understand what Vegan food is and isn't, and I don't have to worry that we'll wind up with something we don't want and there is nothing left to be desired in the flavor department. Our favorite dishes are the Eggplant Bhartha, the Aloo Ghobi, and the Chana Masala. The rice is aromatic and cooked to perfection, and we usually opt for the whole grain chapati or puri on the side, and maybe samosas or pakoras to get started. Going into the restaurant is fun and casual, and they have an assortment of traditional ingredients you can bring home if you want to do a little cooking of your own. While the environment is familiar and relaxed, the food is both comforting and top notch, and most important made with care. The staff (and it feels like a family run operation) are kind, generous, helpful and friendly, and no matter how busy they are, they always have time for a smile and to help you find what you need. We always feel good about spending our money there. After years of having to pay more for fewer ingredients and less flavor (most pizza places won't even swap the cheese for a veg - they take it off but no price break to the consumer?!?!) and having take-out that is uninspired, Curry Corner never fails to impress! By far my favorite place to go for lunch! For less than $10.00 you get enough food for lunch and dinner! I have had the curry chicken and the butter chicken both fabulous! With the lunch special you also get a side veggie, daal and naan bread. My favorite side veggie is the aloo gobi (cauliflower and potato) Lunch time here is always packed full and the staff are all extremely nice and welcoming. Stopped by here for dinner while driving through town. We were a group of 6 and ordered a few things. The samosas were average. They tasted quite similar to the frozen Deep samosas. Not bad but not great either. We then got a few curries and naans: Rogan Josh - The lamb was really tender and the curry tasted nice. I would recommend this Kadhai Chicken - The chicken was overcooked and the curry was drab. I would not get this again. Shahi Paneer - It was way too rich and sweet for my liking. I know that it's supposed to be a rich dish but this was, like most Indian restaurants in the US, an overkill. Malai Kofta - The koftas themselves were very dry and seemed like they had either been frozen or re-heated multiple times. The curry was really sweet and too rich and thick to really enjoy. Garlic Naan, Paratha, Chapati - These were all really small for the price. Also they were inconsistently cooked with some parts still doughy. Overall the food was just about average, the service was really great and the Punjabi lady was extremely friendly, the prices were high considering the small portions, especially of the breads. I don't think I would stop here again or recommend this place to people. read more

What an amazing find! Located in an unassuming strip mall in Lacey, this place produces amazing Indian food. We ordered the lamb vindaloo, lamb korma, palak paneer and butter chicken. All four were excellent, though the butter chicken was a tad sweeter than I prefer. Also, their sweet lassi is pink. Not completely sure what gives it it's pink color, though I gather it may be a fruit concentrate. It did taste slightly more berry than in used to, though that could have been simply because the color made me expect it to taste that way. It was delicious either way. read more

Top notch Indian food! I arrived just before a small rush of customers & I was able to get a table. A small restaurant with packaged goods alongside one wall, about a dozen tables TOTAL and that's it! I admit it: I was overwhelmed by the menu - and the wonderful smells coming from the kitchen! I was trying to figure-out what the other diners were having around me - when a customer asked if he could help me - DAMN, I got caught! He (and his two dining companions) asked what I liked - and then, speaking Indian amongst themselves - made a suggestion. I ordered what they suggested....and I could not have asked for more! It was a wonderfully aromatic, smoked eggplant dish over rice, with a side of naan bread. Delicious! I thanked "the guys" as they were leaving, and they were pleased at how much I enjoyed the meal.
