The service in this place is very very slow! They took a very long term to bring our food (almost 40 minutes!) , And they happened to forget to give rice that came with the order! They did not bring all the dishes together, and we had to wait till we got everything to start eating. We ordered veg biryani (it was decent) , poori (but they ended up giving us bhatura instead and it was too oily), and paneer kabab (this came with rice and we ordered naan. But they bought the paneer, and didn't bring the naan forever; then they forgot to give us white rice which comes with it! Had to remind them) The only plus point in this place is, if you ask for spicy you will get spicy. They will make it as spicy as you want. So if you ask for spicy, be careful it could turn out to be too spicy for your taste buds!! read more

My wife was so disappointed with her chosen dish today. - Naan: We got all burned naans today, we've let the server know when he came to cleaning our table before the billing. Below is our brief : - Parking: 4/5. - Greetings: 2/5. - Server: a little slow today (1/5) - Line: there was no line at all, so we got our table immediately without any waiting. (5/5). - Menu: not that variety, especially the portion so called 'seafood' which ONLY have 'shrimp' on the lunch menu. (2/5) - Order taking: 2/5. - Restroom: a little dirty, used it to watch my hands before lunch but there was no paper-towel in the men restroom. FANTASTIC!!! I visited Curry Craft restaurant for the first time on June 03, 2017. I was surprised to see the modern look and feel. I was welcomed in a professional and courteous manner. Jesse, the owner, is not only a "Master Entrepreneur", but also a "Master Chef" himself with several years of experience in food and restaurant business. Jesse and his entire family has a passion for food and serving gourmet food in a Royal style. I won't kill a surprise for you by revealing it here. You will have to visit to find that out. The food was fresh and wasn't just sauce sitting around in a bunch of warmers. This is hands down the best little buffet for the money. Spices are middle of the road, some dishes were hotter than others but all were enjoyable and easy to eat. The buffet is a fabulous way to try new items. At first sight we thought Curry Craft was a fast food Indian restaurant. Upon entering it's actually a nice sit down restaurant with food made to order. We've eaten there and also gotten takeout many times. The service is great, very friendly guy that takes your order. Food is hot, flavorful and consistent. Our 3 year old loves the Chicken Tikka and our favorite is the Chicken Vindaloo--perfect amount of spice! The Samosa, garlic and chilli naan bread are great sides. Absolutely phenomenal. Personal favorites were the karahi paneer (I love paneer, it is my favorite part of eating at Indian restaurants) and the gulab jamun (sweet syrupy dough balls). Naan was also outstanding. Literally everything we tried at the buffet was stellar, despite not expecting to like dishes with certain ingredients. Very reasonable prices, too. Can guarantee I will be traveling from Arizona frequently and explicitly to visit this restaurant. Stopped by Curry Craft after a Rugby game not expecting much. I was greater at the door by a young man who quickly handed me a menu. I was already in the mood for curry. I ordered the curry bowl came with some chicken and rice. Let's start with the curry, loved the spices and spicy ness of the curry, could have a bit more chicken but overall the flavor was on point. I would recommend Curry Craft to any one that loves Indian cuisine. Although I ordered to go the restaurant was really nice. The incense in the air was nice and music videos were interesting. This is our favorite Indian spot in San Diego, and it doesn't hurt that it's in walking distance from our house! They have really good portions, especially during lunch when they have their specials (includes rice AND naan, salad, soup and raita) I always get their chicken makhani and garlic naan, and my boyfriend has tried their chicken biryani, saag tofu, lamb curry and lamb vindaloo - all of which were AMAZING! They made a minor mistake by giving us lamb curry instead of what we ordered which was lamb korma, but they were nice enough to send us home with a serving of korma which I'm sure won't disappoint. I was so happy when Tandoori Grille opened in San Marcos. Although, they are still good their quality has been inconsistent lately. Enter, Curry Craft picking up where TG left off their Indian food is simply outstanding. I tried the Saag Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan and Kubali Naan. Me and my wife just came home from eating here and couldn't resist writing this review 5 well deserved stars. Food was great the staff was really friendly and helpful. I ordered my garlic naan bread and sat down after about 30-60secs I changed my mind and wanted to add cheese . He Said ok. And when he came he said the chef had to make it separate.( It was no biggie) so I got two orders of naan one garlic and one cheese. One of the orders was free! I was really happy about that. The korma was my favorite. The portions were generous and everything was perfectly spiced. We ordered a light meal to share: tofu tikka masala, garlic nan, and mango lassi, with spice on the side so our toddler could share the meal. The tofu was fine, the tikka masala was fine, the nan was fine, and the lassi was delicious. (And we overheard someone else order strawberry lassi, which we hadn't noticed on the menu.) Service was fast, and they deserve extra applause for catching me in the parking lot with the sippy-cup we left behind. The place was clean, and looked newly built. But from the outside, the building has a mild resemblance to the design of old Pizza Hut restaurants. One minor complaint: part of the menu is printed in orange type on a red background. It would probably be readable in daylight, but it's a bit difficult to read in restaurant lighting. They had a giant television screen, but the sound was down low, and it wasn't intrusive, even for the distractable toddler. It's better than we expected on the side of a busy road between the San Diego Safari Park and the coast. read more

Great Indian food. Sauces are very flavorful. Tikka Masala and Butter chicken are my favorites so far. Prices are also reasonable. Only things that are not optimal are parking, can be a bit difficult depending on time of day, and proximity to San Marcos High School - you will see tons of teens hanging out and sometimes smoking/skateboarding outside the windows, again depending on time of day. These are not fault of Curry Craft, but a byproduct of the location. read more

This used to be one of mine and my husband's favorite places to eat. The food was great, the service nice, and they had plenty of vegan options. What changed is that they got a different chef and the flavor changed. Then I caught the staff lying to me more than once about my food being vegan. I forgave them for that the first couple of times because I know that people make mistakes. However, I unfortunately stopped dining here eventually because I learned that I cannot trust the waiters to tell me the truth about what is in my food. I hope that this is something that can be changed in the future. read more

My wife wanted to go to Goodwill and lucky for us we stumbled across Curry Craft. I had it bookmarked as a place to try so it was super convenient next door. It is a solid option with tons of traditional Indian dishes and lots of vegetarian dishes also. I really enjoy curry and have been looking forward to visiting Curry Craft. I did tonight and it was wonderful. Raj greeted me at the door and showed me to my table. It is casual dining but was very clean and welcoming, far from the Carl's Jr. that was there before a long time ago. I asked a few questions and decided on Madras chicken and the chicken soup. Two completely different tastes but both explosive in tastes. Normally Indian restaurants in strip malls are just places with dried out chicken covered by overpowering sauces to cover for the dried chicken. This was NOT the case here. While spices can overwhelm the senses, here they embrace the flavor of the chicken. While the sauces are as potent and wonderful as you would want them to be, the chicken was moist with portions that were not precut as part of the morning chores. Each bite was flavorful and I craved each bite. I left there just 15 minutes ago and my mouth was not left with the usual long lasting after taste like many other places. I really enjoyed Curry Craft. Raj the server was very attentive and pleasant. I will come back again and try something different. But for now I have found my favorite Indian dining experience in North County San Diego. read more

This is quite edible Indian food. But the tandoori chicken isn't as moist as I am used to. Their marinade is also different. Considering that I've only been eating Indian at one specific location over the last 5 years, maybe my taste buds isn't use to it. But I love that their tandoori chicken comes with cilantro chutney. I can eat that stuff all day long. However, I left this place not really feeling like my taste buds would crave more of the food I had eaten except the cilantro chutney. read more

My son and I cruised in here to try this new place in San Marcos and were not disappointed! In what used to be a wings place and before that a Carl's Jr. the owners put together a nice restaurant. They have a very robust menu. For novice Indian food eaters it has nice descriptions for every item so my son could decide. I went for a lunch special with Saag Paneer and my son had Curry Chicken. The lunch special is a great value and the food is terrific! The Paneer was very delicious and spicy as I had ordered. The curry had a little more heat than my son expected but he still enjoyed it. The Naan was very fresh and tasty! Judging from the clientele in the restaurant it seems to have a good following from the Indian community and if the food stays great like this we will be back to enjoy! read more

Super yummy Indian food here! The naan is ever so lightly brushed with butter and has some good flavor to it. We ordered the vegetable samosas which were well spiced and served with a couple of sauces. We also ordered the Butter Chicken which was also yummy. We came here for the first time about a month ago and we've been back like 4 times. It has been awesome almost every time. The food is good and looks a little expensive, but you get good portions. They also have specials that are not advertised online and you have to come in for.
