5/5 -- Exceptional Hospitality, Delicious Food, and True Value…read more Indian Curry Lounge absolutely deserves five stars -- not just for the food, but for the incredible hospitality, service, and value that make this place stand out in Harrisburg. I'll be honest: the location isn't the most inviting, especially at night. Walking in felt a little unusual at first -- but the moment we stepped inside, the experience completely turned around. The staff here are genuinely kind, attentive, and welcoming. The chef himself even came out to talk to us, asked if everything was good, and shared his story. That personal touch really made the whole evening memorable. You can tell they care deeply about their guests. Now, the food -- fresh, flavorful, and made with care: * Noodles were made exactly as requested -- mild for my child -- and still packed with flavor. * Curries were rich and delicious without being overly oily or spicy. * Naan was fresh, light, and fluffy -- one of the better ones I've had in the area. * Dosa was crispy and simple but very satisfying with the accompanying chutneys. * Chili Paneer wasn't as spicy as I prefer, but the texture was spot-on -- crispy, well-coated, and flavorful. * Samosas were definitely worth ordering -- perfectly fried and nicely spiced. But the highlight of the entire meal was the Tokri Chaat. It came in these adorable bite-size, crispy edible baskets filled with chickpeas, chutneys, yogurt, and spices. Beautifully presented and even better in flavor -- a creative twist done perfectly. Between the warm hospitality, the thoughtful service, and the great-tasting food, Indian Curry Lounge is truly a gem. Even with the location being a little off-putting at first, the people inside make you feel at home instantly. If you're in the Harrisburg area and craving Indian food with heart behind it, give this place a try. Five stars well deserved.

I probably should've stopped here sooner than today because this was an excellent buffet experience…read moresuper close to home, like 4 blocks away. Now that I know, I know to stop again and sample the variety of buffet offerings. A fellow customer told me the buffet dishes change every day so you have to come back multiple times to sample all of the different dishes. I will! Really clean and modern on the inside with entrances on N. 3rd St. and through Strawberry Square. Naan was tasty and crispy as were the samosas and onion rings. Really good saag paneer and chicken vindaloo (not spicy due to buffet) and an amazing Tika Masala, a (to me) boring dish, but this had a very rich and delicious flavor. All sauces i tried were amazing! I was too full to try dessert. Next time!

Had heard good things about this restaurant and really wanted to try the lunch buffet. Decided to…read morestop in on a weekend. It's relatively easy to find. It has a street entrance and an inside entrance with Strawberry Square. Ambiance is nice. Everything is spotlessly clean. Buffet had a nice assortment of vegetarian and non vegetarian foods. Mix of options was very good. Everything tasted very good. The dessert was fabulous. Several entrees were fabulous. Everything was cooked perfectly. The only tiny complaint I would have is nothing was very spicy. They did have ways you could add heat. Through chutnies and pickles and sauces. But I really wish some of the dishes had more of that deep complex spicy flavor. Price was reasonable. The only major drawback was having to park and pay to park. It was eight dollars to park so you have to ask yourself if the price of the buffet plus the parking fee per person makes it worth it. I would say it was worth it to try it once. If you are already downtown for another reason, and you choose to eat there, you can't go wrong. It is fabulous food.
