Previously known as JD's Junction, this location is under new ownership and bringing American/Indian fusion to Middletown. We dropped in last minute for a nightcap, ended up getting some snacks too. Get the garlic naan!! You will keep the vampires away but it will be worth it. We happened to stop by on a Thursday, missed trivia by a lot. They have trivia every Thursday starting at 7pm. The owner stopped by to ask how the food was, and was kind enough to give us a sample of the gulab jamun - a sticky sweet dessert that was SO good, but I could only eat 1, it was super sweet. The samosas were standard but what kept me eating was the spicy spicy green sauce, whatever magic is in that sauce kept me going back for more. Food doesn't taste like Indian. Ordered Chicken curry, chicken biryani, and yellow dal (lentil). Curry was so watery and tasted sour like yogurt. Their kidney beans is the only good thing I ordered. read more

Got takeout and it was okay, nothing really wrong with it but at the same time nothing to write home about. Inexpensive which was nice. Got a paneer dish and they give a nice portion. Utterly AMAZING! I am not kidding! The fam and I dropped in.. on the way to airport. We had Aloo tikki , cheese Naan, butter chicken and the chicken korma. My son in law, is from Northern India.. he said this was THE BEST INDIAN FOOD he has had in the States (they live in Florida). I did well ;) The staff were above & beyond friendly and accommodating. This place used to have amazing food... Tastes like a new chef and hopefully they convince the previous one to return. Lamb Vindaloo was watery and flavorless. They also managed to mess up the naan For the price you would expect better quality I will return in future to give another chance and update as I see fit. read more

Took exactly 30 mins to get our meal. There were only 2 customers at the bar, and a group of 4 in the dining room week had already been served. Food was adequate. The ambiance was ok except for the blaring music. You had to almost shout to be heard. Will probably not return. Several other Indian restaurants in the area to pick from. read more

I'm from Houston and I love Indian food. This is a real find. Delicious chicken vindaloo. Loved it all.

Placed a take out order here the other evening. Had a taste for Garlic naan and chicken tikka masala. Person who took the order told me it would be ready in 20 minutes. Arrived about 20 minutes later and it was warm and waiting for me. The server had it all packed and included plenty of napkins and silverware. Oh, and it was delicious!! This place will take you by surprise. You won't realize that you have gone past it. But great great food! Their samosas and paneer pakoras and entrees were some of the best I have had. And really nice staff!! The chef personally come to check on us after our meal. Highly recommend if you are in the area for great food! read more

I had some takeout from here, so I can't really speak about their service. The food was pretty good, good flavors. My only issue was, it seemed like the noodles were over done. However, that could because of the takeout situation, might be better in house. read more

Let me start off by saying that we stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. They only had one guy working who was the cook & didn't know the bar at all. The wife really wanted to try some sort of house specialty drink. They have a Carmel apple martini listed on the board, so she ordered that. No kidding, we had to make the drink ourselves because he had no clue, poor soul. Maybe consider a little cross training? I must say we made a tasty drink, although definitely not what was listed. He had no clue what to charge, so we gave him the industry standard price of $9 to charge us. The table was still sticky and dirty from the last sitting or two, so I went to the men's room and got hot paper towels to wipe the table with. We had to get our own napkins from the service station. After all of the outstanding reviews, we really wanted to try this place for a while . I don't know if we just showed up at a really bad time, or if it's always like this? Never before did I have to mix my own cocktail?! The papadams were a pleasant surprise, they went well with the Tröegs Oktoberfest. A dipping sauce or two would have been great. I would have paid for some chutney and raita. Same goes for the Naan. She got the garlic, I got the Bullet chili stuffed. Both were good, the naan's texture was perfect. He said that was his first time making the bullet Naan, so I don't know if it was done properly or not. We got 2 different versions of the menu, with items blackened out on each. I would have ordered the Reaper wings, but they were crossed out on one menu. I would love to love this place, as Passage to India is now gone. I just have to say they didn't make a very good first impression and gave me no reason to return. read more

I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Wings and they were pretty good. I can tell the food was freshly made, and well seasoned. It was very clean and had great service. Employees were very polite and I would come again. Only complaint is the price of the items in the menu was pretty high. My meal (Chicken Tikka Masala) came with medium sized dish of mostly sauce with little chicken, and the rice portion was much less then the sauce portion. Loved this place! The indian fusion food is delicious, in an unpretentious dive setting. The service was quick and friendly. If you're new to indian food, the fusion menu makes trying new flavors accessible.Try the tandoori wings or the pakora wings. The chicken tikka masala was the best I have ever had. Garlic naan was a hit, too! They are still getting their kinks worked out - the bartender could use a tad more experience but not a big enough issue to detract from the delish food. Great Indian food!!! (They also have an American food menu). We had Chicken Tiki Masala and a Lamb dish that was really really good.
