The food was delicious, and I honestly went here Sunday and Tuesday (they're closed on Mondays) because it was that good. Both times we had the same server and she was so incredibly nice and helpful and even had suggestions when my boyfriend and I were unsure where to start. I tried the Lychee Juice and it was so good!! It just looks a bit cloudy. I researched the juice and it's pretty good for you too which is always a plus! Only thing not pictured of what we tried (on Monday) was the Vegetable Samosa. It was good, as was the other appetizer, the onion bhaji but I honestly got bored after a little bit and didn't finish my samosa and only ate one of the onion bhajis. Nonetheless the food was marvelous and i've already suggested this place to my loved ones and friends!

The cheese sticks for the kids had some curry sauce brushed on with melted cheese and jalapeño. The man knew I was ordering it for the kids and the menu didn't say it came with anything but bread and cheese. SMH. That was a wasted $11. All of this took over 20 minutes to prepare. We were the only patrons. The place was dark, dusty and when we sat at the booth offered to us, I almost fell through to the floor. We chose to eat outside, across the street at some picnic tables because it was sunny and the air smelled fresh. The owners were nice enough, but I had to request napkins and the food was just okay. Glad we tried it, but I don't think we'll be back. Not good enough quality or balance of flavors for the price.

At this time he pointlessly ushered me into their kitchen to show me their iPad with their DoorDash portal was turned off. Again, I let him know it allowed me to place an order and he should please turn off their portal if he does not want orders coming through. Vishal seems to thing turning off the DoorDash iPad and ignoring if orders are placed qualifies as closing their portal. Vishal was insincere and apathetic in response to my concerns. I wasted the small amount of time I had to pick up food during my work day on this mediocre experience. The only positive is that when I reported to DoorDash that the restaurant was closed, I received a refund. That says much more about the customer service of DoorDash however, and is not a positive reflection on this establishment. If Vishal shows such a lack of care for customers trying to spend money with him, I probably dodged a bullet by not having the opportunity to try their food. I will never again intentionally darken the door of this establishment.

We love curry and an Indian coworker recommended trying one of the local restaurants. This is a small place in the downtown area and is not fancy or conspicuous but is easy to find. The interior is fairly spartan but decorated with Indian items and feels authentic. The menu is full of options, including vegetarian dishes and some non-Indian foods. You can choose heat levels 1-5 and the mild is truly mild. Level 2 is as hot as I can tolerate. The entrees come in bowls with long grain white rice on the side and you get the Indian equivalent of nachos with sweet and cilantro dipping sauces. We ordered naan, a bread akin to a light pizza crust, a staple of Indian cuisine. I had chicken madras and my wife had chicken korma, a curry and cream-based dish. I could barely eat all mine and my wife less than half of hers. For two entrees, water and naan, the bill was $30. Nice and gregarious waiter. The order took about 30 minutes on a slow night but seemed well-prepared and made to order. It did not seem pre-made. A solid place to get a taste of Indian food and I recommend it. read more

I have been to a few Indian restaurants across America, and I will say that the quality of the food here at Curry Kitchen is on par with any of the Indian restaurants that I have been to, whether its Chicago, Denver, Portland, San Diego, or even Los Angeles. The atmosphere is great which adds to the whole dining experience. It just too bad that I hadn't discovered this hidden gem until a few months before I had moved back out west. I would highly recommend CK to anyone visiting Muskegon and especially to those who are unaware of its existence and are tired of the "standard dining" like that near the mall. read more

So glad to have this restaurant in Muskegon. The lunch buffet provides a variety of authentic Indian cuisine. My wife's favorite is the buttered chicken. We order the naan lightly done and love it. Be adventurous take a risk you won't be disappointed. A little secret if the spices challenge your stomach calm it with their cool rice pudding. read more

YUM! Authentic Indian cuisine! Malai Kofta is my favorite, but I love trying a new dish every time we dine here. Trust the waiter/waitress' recommendations! They will not steer you wrong! This is a smaller place, so groups are not a great idea. read more

We ordered the Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles and the summer rolls. I'll start with the summer rolls. We typically see them with shrimp and the menu didn't say anything otherwise. There was both shrimp and chicken in them, and they were quite large and loosely wrapped. 2 for $8 was steep though considering the chicken was tough and the shrimp was strong tasting. I couldn't make myself eat them. My husband managed to eat most of one. They came with what was obviously a jarred sweet and sour sauce -another disappointment as peanut sauce is so much better and what I was kind of expecting as that is usually the norm. The drunken noodles had a nice initial flavor but the heat was more than expected for medium. My husband and I always get medium for Thai dishes and typically they are just right or a little light in heat for us. This one they had been a bit generous with the heat so much so that it was almost hard to eat. It said there were a variety of veggies but it really only had green and red peppers. There was a decent amount of chicken in the dish. There may have been some green onion but only a couple of pieces, it felt like it was enough so they could say it was included even though you had to hunt to find them. Last to the Pad Thai, my typical initial gauge for a new to us Thai place. There was a generous amount of noodles, but were on the verge of undercooked. It couldn't figure out the flavor, but they were quite sour compared to any I've had before and I'll have to say it didn't do it for me. I would say they were almost eating wha I would call sweet and sour noodles if I was to give them a name. There was no richness or depth to the flavor at all. Again the items in the noodles were sparse at best. Very little chicken in this one, a crumble of egg, and I think I saw like 4 bean sprouts.. not acceptable for $15. They did have the required peanuts on the top though. Oh, and a slice of lemon, something else I'd not seen served before with Thai food. I had high hopes at this being a great place to visit when we are in the area since we love Grand Haven and I love Thai food but this ain't it. Bummer. So sad.
