We love this restaurant. It's a great place to grab a quick bite when out shopping, although I highly recommend going during thr traditional meal times. The options are amazing. If you're in the mood for an Asian Buffet, this place will totally donut for you! The price is amazing ($8 for lunch) and there's a pretty big selection. Yes, the servers are hit or miss (some were friendly and cleared super quick, others were downright rude when you asked for something, God forbid). Also, the tempura sushi might not be fresh and hot (which bothered my husband and mom). But I guess I have pretty low expectations when it comes to sushi at a buffet, so that didn't bother me at all. The best thing was absolutely the peanut chicken!!! Everyone in our party totally agreed on that and we continually went back for more. It looked like a Panko encrusted chicken breast that was fried, sliced into strips and then tossed in a thick and very flavorful peanut butter sauce. I want more right now just thinking about it!! I also enjoyed the egg rolls, potstickers and sweet and sour chicken. Their desserts were the usual crappy ones you find at any Asian buffet. But the soft serve? SOLID! Not only was is uber creamy and smooth (similar to McDonald's or DQ), but they offered more than just chocolate and vanilla! They had a separate machine nearby that had strawberry, caramel cheesecake and a swirl of the two in the middle. Woah! Don't forget to top it with Oreos and gummies! Yum! Has been a classic location for all in the Muskegon area for years. There is a variety of food available- from classic/home style asian food, to mac and cheese and pizza- asian buffet has it all. My favorite, the Hibachi grill, is always outstanding. Their cooks, who cook your food directly in front of you do a tremendous job (be sure to leave them a tip in their tip jar at the gril, they deserve it!). Though I have seen lack of cleanliness in the past, I feel as though Asian Buffet is turning things around. We were in town for the weekend and looking for a place to have dinner. Although we are not fond of buffets, especially with Covid, we decided to give it a try. The exterior of the building is very clean and modern, which was very surprising. Inside we were greeted right away and sat immediately even though they were busy. Every member of the staff was incredibly friendly, always bringing refills and removing dirty plates. They had a huge selection of fresh food to choose from and everything was piping hot. The staff was checking all the food continuously to make sure there was always enough. It was actually quite impressive the variety of foods they had. Their egg drop soup was SO good, the egg rolls were EXCELLENT, and the crab Rangoon was hands down the best I ever had. Their dessert spread was also amazing! My 6-year-old son found so many new foods that he now loves. When we come back to the area, we will definitely be back! If you're in the area, DEFINITELY give this place a shot - you won't leave hungry or disappointed. read more

I've been to MANY Chinese buffets throughout the greater Metro Detroit area. This one puts most of those to shame with their selection! Along with the typical selection of Asian dishes that you see at most Chinese Buffets, they also have the Mongolian grill, sushi, some american dishes, a nice sized salad bar selection, and even a better than average dessert area as well (they actually had not only the standard "Chocolate, Vanilla, and Swirl" soft serve machine, but a second machine that offered "Strawberry" and a couple of other flavors! I wouldn't say that the food was any better than any other Chinese Buffet that I've been to, but it wasn't worse either. So... like I said earlier, if you're in the area for a vacation... this particular stop off of the expressway is worth checking out. Hands down the best buffet joint in the area! The place tends to be very busy for the most part, but the great layout of the buffet allows for smooth & easy access. The staff does a wonderful job keeping the buffet full with fresh food so the crowd doesn't really bother me. The one down side is the high prices. Here, one seats oneself and is directed to the table. They have some items written in Chinese on the tags. (It sort of looks like it's for the staff's reference, not the customers.) Some of the desserts' tags seem to be cut out of the catalog where it is ordered with the ordering code. At least we know that the food is good enough to be displayed in a catalog. After finishing up, one will eventually receive a check and one should bring it to the front desk with any coupons one can find in those magazines at local tourist traps (I found mine at the Double JJ Ranch).. The food here includes hot and sour soup, various desserts, Chinese food such as General Tso's chicken, some American offerings (the beef pie seems to be fusion food) and interestingly enough, a freezer full of popsicles. The coupons will knock $1 off (I'm not sure if it's for each person or just the bill, but it's pretty good anyway). They accepted it with no hassle. My biggest complaint? Oh boy where do I begin. I walk into the place and it's set up quite nicely, they have tables in a circle around the food in the middle. Very nice looking joint. The food however, no so nice. Now mind you, I knew going in I'd need to eat a lot because for $12.99 I'm not getting one plate. I wander my way around and scoop up some orange chicken and other foods and such. The food tasted decent not worth the price, but it got the job done, so I thought. As soon as I go to stand up to leave, I shit myself. All 4 plates of food, an ice cream, and 14 Chinese donuts all empty out into my underwear. I kid you not the food came out faster than it went in.
