Talk about a pleasant surprise . So I wasn't even thinking of Indian food . My Daugther called me and told me she wanted some Indian food and I quickly used yelp tp find the closet to me at the time . This was an amazing idea since I found Indian grill express . The owner quickly greeted me and asked me if I had been there before . I responded no she then had me try several delicious dishes . What turned into a combo for my Daugther ended being 4 plates to go . I food was fresh and delicious every bite was amazing and the garlic nan was also amazing . I ordered the chicken tikka masala , fish curry , chicken korma and spinach curry all delicious . This is a hidden gem just opened up about a month ago . I'm glad looked up this place if not I would have missed out on authentic delicious Indian food. This Weill now be a must for me when I'm in the area. read more

Giving it 5 stars for the service and my satisfaction with the price, portion, and food. It met my needs and standards The woman is super nice, warm, and has a very positive spirit which makes a difference when choosing where I eat my food. She even offered me samples because truthfully I wanted to know which ones I liked and now I didnt have to guess. Portion is well, I have been to Indian restaurants where the portion is way less than I hoped for the price. So Im super grateful to find a place that gives good portions! wow!! this place has amazing service and amazing food. they let us sample the curries before we ordered and everything was so yummy. some seating inside and parking was very easy to find! two item combo (5/5) - i got the chicken tikka masala and the chicken korma. it comes with a generous portion of rice and a side of garlic naan. everything was so yummy and flavorful, chicken was super tender and not dry at all. mango lassi (5/5) - my first time trying and it was so yummy! very creamy, pairs perfectly if you get something spicy. overall such a good spot if you're craving indian food! i'd come back solely for the amazing service! read more

The customer service was top-notch, which is the second most important thing when it comes to a 5-star review. The food was HEAVENLY! I think this is the fluffiest (naan?) bread I have ever tasted. The mango lassi came gratuitously, and the food was overall just so tasty! I have so much respect for whoever owns this fine establishment, as it is clean, inviting, and a place that serves delicious food. I wish there were more places like this closer to me. read more

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting mom and son duo, Anu and Ankush, today. It was my first time ordering at India Grill Express, and they allowed me to sample their arrange of menu items! Service was absolutely delightful, as they gave me a quick overview of their menu and what flavors to expect when sampling the items. They're still under renovation, but please don't let that deter you from trying out their delicious food! Everything was flavored beautifully and the Garlic Chili Naan I got was great! Now that I have discovered this place, I highly doubt I will be getting Indian take-out from anywhere else. Everything was premade and you could get a la carte, 1 entree combo, 2 entree combo, and 3 entree combos. If you order a la carte, they make the food fresh for you to your liking. The woman at the cashier (I think she's an owner?) was so friendly and let us try everything before we ordered to see if we liked the spice. I prefer spicier so I ended up getting a 2 entree plate with goan fish curry and chicken curry. My husband loved his chiken tika and palak paneer. The quantities were amazing. There was so much rice and we got naan with it as well (I got chili garlic and my husband got garlic). Everything had so much flavor and was delicious. read more

Just like the name states, you go in and then you come out. It is very convenient Indian food if you have no time to wait around. I ordered the three item combo with Aloo Saag, Chicken Tikka Masala and Chole. Every single dish was very flavorful. There was no heat level in the Chicken Tikka Masala and Aloo Saag. There was a bit of spice in the Chloe but it wasn't too overwhelming. This restaurant just opened and they are still setting up some kitchen equipment. I wanted to try their samosas but they did not have a fryer yet. So just keep that in mind. Right now, they have a special in when you buy an item combo you get a free mango lassi. Great food! Great people! Great service! The new owners, Rram and Anu are the world's nicest people and their food and service is consistently excellent. Everything I've eaten there so far is delicious (matar paneer, samosas, chicken korma, raita, etc.). I recently stopped by this express Indian restaurant and had such a delightful experience! I wasn't very hungry, so I just ordered naan, but the owner was incredibly sweet and generous. she brought me samples of everything on the menu. When I sat down to eat my naan, she even brought me tikka masala to enjoy with it. Everything I tried was absolutely excellent! Quick, fresh, and flavorful food! Been coming in a couple of times a week since I discovered this place. My favorites are the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Chicken Korma; and of course the garlic naan. A 2 item combo will cost you about the same price as any fast food combo these days, but the food doesn't leave you feeling crummy like most fast food does. I thought the saag was a touch too salty but it didn't mean I hated it. They do serve alcohol here, although we didn't imbibe on our visit. As for parking, they have a small front parking lot and a larger back lot (which we weren't aware of until our friends told us). When we got there at 11:30 it was quite empty, but by the time we left it was nearly full--a popular spot, and we could see why. There were lots of options on their lunch special menu, which they even have on the weekends, and even more on their regular menu. All the lunch specials come with rice, salad greens, lentil soup, naan, a mini samosa (on attractive metal serving ware), along with self serve coffee and chai. At $16.95 as of this writing, we thought it was a great deal. The hubby and I shared our food and thought it was very good overall. I thought the saag was a touch too salty but it didn't mean I hated it. They do serve alcohol here, although we didn't imbibe on our visit. As for parking, they have a small front parking lot and a larger back lot (which we weren't aware of until our friends told us). If you want good Indian food with very attentive service in a slightly upscale setting, this is a good choice.

Parking is metered street parking (free on Mondays), residential parking or at paid parking lots/structures in the area. The owners of Curry Lounge have opened another great restaurant in Little India. Punjabi BBQ & Cafe has most of the same menu, but specializes in grilled meat from the tandoor oven.
