To top it off the Samosas were tiny with only mint chutney and they forgot the most import compliment, the basmati rice and they expected us to go back and pick it up. Bad start for a business that's only been open for a couple of weeks. Seems like most Indian restaurants care more about decorations than actual quality and quantified food. Never going back. Ordered take out and even though there was a slight mix up on the order the staff was understanding and accommodating to the situation. The food did all the talking and was definitely worth the trip and try. Sometimes Indian dishes can all taste very similar but each dish here is surprising different with intense flavor. Here it's all about the food. I recommend getting the vegetable tali where you can pick 3 different curry dishes with rice or naan. The basmati rice was cooked perfectly and had a hint of coconut flavor which comes from the ghee & herbs they put in it. Most all of the vegetable curry dishes are gluten free, vegan & vegetarian. This place is the absolute BEST Indian food I have ever had! I have traveled extensively, including India, and this THE best I've had in the States, thus far!!! The food is so fresh and the spices... perfection! To have Chai tea as it is intended, just made my day! I just cannot sing the praises of this hidden gem enough. From the decor to the food to the service to the staff... just WOW! The decor is all hand-painted and beautifully done. The colors are so vibrant they just make you want to touch them. The central metalwork chandelier is gorgeous! The mosaic wall sconces are just as vibrant as the paintings. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. The menu has something for everyone, regardless of your spice tolerance. We had gobi. My daughter was over the moon with it. She doesn't tolerate spice but loved it. I had the vegetarian thali with mixed veg masala, daal Tarka, and garbanzo chole curry. Fresh, well seasoned, and appropriately spiced. My daughter had chicken tikka masala. Everything was superb! saw reviews about bad service and was really hoping it was just their experience and yet it happened again. walked in and there were two tables that were already done eating and no one else. after sitting down and ordering, we asked for water: one ice and one not. at least 20 minutes had passed and we hadn't gotten water or plates. meanwhile the servers were sitting at their table in the corner chatting and on their phones. we asked for water again and after another 5 minutes we received two ice waters. after around 30 minutes, we got the goat chop sent to us without sauces which came later with my butter chicken. the lamb chops they actually told us when we were ordering that it was not lamb but goat, which is okay with me. the goat chops we're too charred and the size was much smaller than the pictures had indicated. they also put the two bigger chops on top and the two under were tiny. my butter chicken was the only real redeeming factor of this experience. read more
