We tried this place for the first time today and had some high hopes because the reviews were so great. We ordered take out of 4 entrees, 3 sides, and 2 appetizers. When we picked up our order and got it home, which was about 10 minutes away, all of the food needed to be microwaved, so that tells me it had been sitting out for a while; none of it was fresh. When I bit into the chicken in my Chicken Malai, it had what I thought was just a weird texture, but I then realized it just wasn't cooked. All of the chicken was still raw in the middle. And this was after I nuked it in the microwave for a full minute. Honestly, the awesomosas were bomb af, but it's hard to look past the raw chicken. It put a damper on the whole meal and it was hard for anyone to enjoy much of anything else unfortunately. So yea, if you're just craving some samosas, this place is 100% your jam. read more

Food was absolutely fantastic. However, I got so frustrated with the service I had to ask for my check and leave before we were even finished eating. We were the only table in the restaurant (except for one that left about 10min after being seated) and the three servers in the restaurant cared more about talking, laughing with each other, and playing on their phones than taking care of the one table they had. We had to start calling out from across the restaurant every time we needed something, as our server would not come by the table at all. After waiting what seemed like an eternity to just order refills for our drinks, we called out across the restaurant to ask our server. She then went and folded napkins/silverware for at least 5 minutes, before getting our drinks. The whole time, there were two other servers just talking and laughing. Great selection on the menu and huge variety of drink options Humsar was our server , he was great, engaging personality and super knowledgeable about the menu. FINALLY, Klein gets a great local Indo-Pak restaurant... and we're moving away in a couple of months! :-( Guess we'll have to get our fill until that day. Great Indian food! My husband and I went for dinner one evening and were greeted immediately by extremely friendly staff. The restaurant was also very clean and inviting. There are many items to choose on the menu and the made to order drinks and smoothies were an added bonus. We had both the butter chicken and chicken tiki masala. Both of them were full of flavor and the chicken was super tender. The rice was fluffy and cooked just right and the garlic naan was amazing! Our server, Humsar, was super friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and made suggestions on house favorites. One of them was the "awesamosa" which truly were awesome! I love it here so much I am a regular! Love it here, you can get to know the staff they are very kind! I always get the pakoras (the potato and onion ones) I always suggest theses. A must try! The food is actually impressive. We had the goat vindaloo, chicken tikka masala, chicken 65 and the goat chops. The chops were exceptional. The chicken tikka masala could be a little better, the vindaloo just wasn't spicy enough. If you like a goat curry thats not vindaloo, then this will do. I've had better chicken 65. We've been wanting to try this place for a while--we're huge Indian food fans--and stopped by. It was a typical summer day in Houston, probably 95+ degrees outside with 100% humidity. A male server seated us and gave us some menus and then disappeared for a while. We decided to leave because they had no air conditioning and it was just as hot inside as it was outside. What on earth were they thinking? The owners must have been thinking they could save cash by not having A/C, but they lost business that day. I think the whole situation is unhealthy and unsanitary. So good! We went here tonight for dinner. I knew the moment we walked in that it would be delicious. It just smelled amazing! I ordered Butter Chicken and my hubby ordered Chicken Tikka Masala. They were both delightful. So much flavor and the spices are spot on. So filling we brought home leftovers! Pro tip, finish your meal with some Chai Tea! Far better than dessert! Greeted nicely yet believe they are short on personnel but that didn't stop the ambiance. I am always sooooo scared to order something and ending up with something I don't like but took my chances on "Yummy in my Tummy" Marsala and Ooooooh my god, was it amazing!!! Loved it!!! I figured you couldn't go wrong with a name like that (or at least it better stand tot he name) and it did. Plus I saw coconut and tamarind - two things I like. Finally! After at least a year of looking at their bright red and yellow signs and locked doors, the restaurant opened two weeks ago. First, let me lay this massive disclaimer on you: I know practically nothing about Indian or Pakistani (Indo-Pak) cuisine. I've had samples maybe five times in my life, including a wonderful visit to Pondicheri, the perpetually top-ranked Indian standard inside the loop. Having said that... I went for lunch today and was delighted to see that it was a buffet with 10-15 different dishes available to sample. As an admitted novice to the cuisine, this gave me a chance to try a little bit of everything, and as much as I wanted, for the relative bargain price of $12.95. Let me say, if you already love this food or if you're just curious about it like I was, this is the place to go. Dinners are a la carte, but lunches will continue to be your choice between a la carte and the buffet. Missing from the buffet are the two standard Indian dishes that most Americans associate with the cuisine - butter chicken and tikka masala, although both are available on the a la carte menu. I was glad to skip those, I've had them and was ready to try new things. I learned a couple of things. First, there's a world of new flavors out there that this 64 year-old is very happy to have been exposed to. Second, there are seemingly infinite combinations of ingredients in this cuisine - the menu is HUGE and covers every conceivable dish (see my photos). And third, no matter your dining preference, you can't help but find a lot of this stuff that you'll just love. Overall I bet the average Spring resident will find these flavors strange and may not love them. But for the adventurous, or those who already know this food, or for those wanting to expand their culinary horizons in a new direction, I can't imagine you'll find a better place to do it. My impressions of the various dishes ranged from "Wow!" to "Huh" to "Yech" - but that was the fun of it. And the yech is on me and my American taste buds - it's somehow clear that this food is done right, or as close as this newbie could tell. I'm already looking forward to going back and trying even more of their dishes, discovering and refining what I really like, and then just eating a whole lot of it. For a food city that prides itself on diversity, having Curry Masala in our neighborhood up here in Spring is a true blessing. read more

We have been waiting for this place to open for many months, and are so glad to finally get to enjoy a meal here. The food and drinks are great, and the server was very attentive. The décor of the restaurant is beautiful - lots of brick and colorful accents on the walls. My husband had chicken tikka masala, and I had chicken hara bhara masala (cilantro/mint based curry), each served with naan. Next time we will also get a side of rice, so we can enjoy more of the delicious sauce (we each finished our meat and had sauce to spare). There is also a large drink/smoothie menu (all non-alcoholic). I had the mojito, they brought out the wrong one, but the server noticed and brought my original order - I actually enjoyed the incorrect order (strawberry mojito) more than what I originally ordered. We will definitely be back soon, and with the large menu they have we have many items to choose from. This place is definitely open even though they look closed when you drive by. My first experience was not a good one. I wanted to make a Togo order so I had called and called and the phone wasn't connected. So I drove there and place my order for chicken biryani. The guy told me it would be out in 10mins or so, well I didn't receive my order for almost an hour. 50 mins to be exact. This was the longest I've ever waited for 1 fish to be prepared and brought out. I ordered chicken biryani so I have no idea what was being done for it to take that long for a rice dish. 1 Star for the beautiful decor and another star for the friendliness of the staff. Staff was friendly however was not attentive what so ever. As for the food. I only ordered 1 dish to try out if it was any good. So if you know the chicken and rice is suppose to be made together so that the rice is flavorful with the chicken masala. However what I got was steamed rice and 3 small pieces of chicken and cilantro on top for $14. It didn't taste like any biryani we've had before. It was steaming hot but flavorless. I'll probably come back for the buffet to try out other dishes but I won't be putting in a Togo order. read more

my boyfriend has never tried indian food before and i am a huge indian food fan. we decided to try this place out for lunch and it did not dissapoint! we ordered the butter chicken and bhara masala with two sides of rice. we also had the mango lassi and meat samosas. the curry was amazing! the butter chicken is fantastic with rice and the bhara masala paired well with the garlic naan made from their in house naan chef (he came in a little late so we thought we were gonna miss out on that until the waitress told us he was able to make it in on time). the meat samosas came with two sauces ( a green cilantro sauce and a tamarind sauce) and they paired well with our appetizer. the mango lassi was also very good however i do wish it was more colder and i don't think the whipped cream necessary. we will definitely be back and now my boyfriend is a fan of indian food. the service was also okay nothing spectacular but our waitress was very charming. would definitely recommend! the serving for the rice is very big so i would suggest ordering one plate and then ordering another one if you need to later. read more

I was craving some Indian food and chose Curry Masala because of their vegan options. I ordered the Punjabi Chole Curry, Dal Soup, and Naan. I loved the flavor of the Chole, but the sauce was far too oily for my tastes. I found the dal tasteless and more of a purée than soup. It wasn't the worst I've had, but Chole and Dal are my staple dishes of Indian Cuisine, so I probably won't order from here again. read more
