The city of Berkeley has brought good pizza recently to San Francisco like Rose Pizzeria. Going to Berkeley I have experienced great pizza places which are not located in SF. Berkeley has some great pizza places such as the Cheeseboard , Pizzeria da Laura and for the best Chicago style pizza at Zachary's Pizza ( actual fresher ingredients than most of Chicago )which both have no locations in SF. There a different pizza spot in Berkeley which serves fresh pizza with local ingredients and there is no spot in SF and it's called Sliver pizza. On a Summer day stroll in the sun in Berkeley I landed at the Telegraph Avenue. Inside there are plenty of seating and they do not accept cash. I ordered their POD also known as Pizza Of the Day. It had the Mushroom, red onions, green scallions , and it had a lemon zest which was sour like some in SF. It was a little cheesy and the sourdough crust was soft. It was tasty and you can taste the field to table ingredients in the pizza. They also have interesting pizza like the Cherry Corn Pizza like I saw on my social media feed. When in Berkeley you must try Sliver Pizzeria. Go to Berkeley for this is a "must" because they have a sourdough "crust" is a "plus" it's not too cheesy and very delicious and leaves some pizza places in SF in the "dust" This pizza place is to eat inside , pick up, and they do "deliver" I rate it more on gold standard side than "silver" fresh ingredients from the "Salinas River" at a pizza place in Berkeley on Telegraph called "Sliver"

I went last week and they had a summer corn pizza that was loaded with juicy kernels of corn, fresh tomatoes and peppers, plus a ton of parsley for garnish. I am a corn fan so I knew I'd like this flavor. And I wasn't disappointed. Sauce: Sliver could even be more well known for its sauces. You have to try the green sauce! Perfect blend of savoriness, freshness, and a kick of heat! Location: right off the Berkeley BART station, This shop is super easy to transit to whether you're taking bus or the bart. Lots parking nearby too. Bathroom: maybe I just went too early in the day before the employees had time to clean up the bathroom, but it had no toilet paper, no seat covers, no paper towels, and the hand soap was simply in a cup that you had to dip your fingers into... kinda sus? Overall I'll definitely be going back because sliver become so popular because of their incredible pizzas and not their bathrooms!

It's rich, flavorful, and they heat your slice back up right before serving, so it comes out piping hot. The only minor downside is that it's a bit oily (I had to use a few napkins to pat it down) but the flavor makes up for it. The setup is a quick grab-and-go counter service with some patio seating and standing tables outside. Since it's right on the corner of a main street, you're looking at street parking only, which I imagine can get pretty tough when the area is busy.

Our waiter was nice and the pizzas came out fairly quickly. The pizza was good, but didn't stand out to me. I did like the texture of the crust (very crunchy). The vinaigrette had the perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavors, making this a great spring or summer salad. The BBQ pork riblets and chicken wings were both a little dry. I liked the seasoning on the riblets, while the chicken wings were a bit lighter in flavor. The cheesy garlic bread was, as expected, super cheesy! I didn't realize the roasted garlic was served on the side, and personally wasn't the biggest fan of its flavor, but the focaccia itself had a great texture. We also shared the Aries ($22), Mercury ($21), and Cassiopeia ($25) pizzas. The Aries was a classic pepperoni pizza with a nice thin crust, and the Mercury was a margherita pizza. I liked the fresh tomatoes, although I wish there had been more basil. The Cassiopeia was my favorite of the three, and I can definitely see why it's so popular. The BBQ sauce was super flavorful and paired really well with the chicken and onions. Jupiter has a lively atmosphere and a really nice outdoor patio with live music, making it a fun spot for group dinners. I'd recommend making a reservation if you're coming with a larger group. Street parking is available nearby.

I love Curry Pizza House, but the Berkeley location is terrible. Almost every time I order pizza here they get my order wrong (they leave out a topping that's supposed to be included), and the toppings they do include are extremely sparse. Even when I call (after ordering online) to remind them to get it right, they still get it wrong. By comparison, other Curry Pizza Houses locations never get my order wrong and the toppings are overflowing. The Berkeley store sucks. read more

My achari pizza was freshly made to order, and was absolutely delicious. Crust was the perfect thickness -- not to bready and not too thin, but absolutely crunchy. Chicken was tender, the white sauce garlicky, and the red onion gave a nice bite. Service was great too, the cashier patiently walked me through the menu options that'd be to my taste. read more

Perfect blend of savoriness, freshness, and a kick of heat! Location: right off the Berkeley BART station, This shop is super easy to transit to whether you're taking bus or the bart. Lots parking nearby too. Bathroom: maybe I just went too early in the day before the employees had time to clean up the bathroom, but it had no toilet paper, no seat covers, no paper towels, and the hand soap was simply in a cup that you had to dip your fingers into... kinda sus? Overall I'll definitely be going back because sliver become so popular because of their incredible pizzas and not their bathrooms!
